Thanks for reacting!! This is one of my favorite songs. I have been to a few of their concerts, and it's something on another level. The story telling and layering on every song is amazing. I am fortunate enough to understand a decent amount of Japanese, and I can say that the lyrics are another huge part of their music. It's an experience closer to theater than a simple concert.

Although I've seen a few clips of this band, I've never really sat down and listened to a song from beginning to end. I think this is one of the most unique and creative talents I've ever seen. Renaissance-era-themed metal opera? From Encyclopaedia Metallum: Country of origin: Japan. Genre: Symphonic/Neoclassical Power Metal. Themes: Blood, Vampires, Roses, Death, Sadness

Happy to get more Versailles (ver-sigh, it's French 😉) reactions! Definitely one of my all-time favorite bands and one of the best at grand, theatrical Neo-Classical metal, weaving their 'aristocratic vampire' theme throughout the music. You've done two of their big evolving epics, gotta try one of their shorter metal masterpieces like, "Aristocrat's Symphony," "Ascendead Master" "Red Carpet Day," "Rose." Thanks!

I would love to see you reacting to Malice Mizer "Le Ciel": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wKQRBGSVlHA.html - it's also a emotional ride. My favorite live perfomance ever. They are from the same style of Versailles - visual kei - wich emphasizes the aesthetics and staging (but with a more "soft" sound). Fun fact: Kamijo, the singer of Versailles, worked as a Malice Mizer roadie when they were active.

This was not exactly my cup of tea,not that it was bad or anything. It was just not something I would ever listen to but it sounded good for what it was.
