Most of the time I have an impression the biggest fear they have is that someone is happy (lives better, has better education or better quality things) and he is not. In his "game" he is either the best of the best or he does not even exist...Thank You!!:))!

Once again. " Youre supposed to". That explains the crumbs. Mine used to hide food in her room to catch me "stealing" a piece of cake. She probably measured it with a ruler, every day. So sick. This was my life with this "parent". And its so hard to realize the truth of what i got "stuck " with. If you have a parent like this, and recognize it, get a very good education and let em go. They Never get better. They're emotionally sadistic and enjoy hurting you. As long as they live.

What about the topic of revenge on a narcissist? I think it's a bad idea to anger them. I'd rather fade out of their lives quietly and completely. They say living well is the best revenge.

This explains it; my wife in all of my years of marriage to her has dreams about being chased by the FBI or secret agents. It is always common at night I see and feel her legs and feet moving while sleeping beside her like she is being chased

Best analytical video of what I experienced in my 4 year relationship with a narcissist. You should consider giving classes to the professionals. They can learn a thing or two from you. You described this mental illness to the T.

And if you try to get close to that fear, you will most likely get confronted with word salad. It's as if they are reacting to something that can't be observed. And they will lock themselves into behavior that hurts you and ultimately them. They destroy relationships and don't understand why you leave. I spent so much time wondering about the nonsense. It's videos like this that have finally put my mind at ease.

Have you talked about neglectful narcissism? The types of narcissists who don't care who you are, what you want, they just want to put you in the category they think you should be in, and if you don't fit they abandon you or just ignore you completely. It doesn't matter what accomplishments you might have or credentials you might have, only their perception of you matters to them. They might not abuse you or yell at you, but since they can't control you they leave you to struggle or flounder.

What you describe are symptoms of a panic disorder. Those people are very guarded, overly defended, suspicious, and quick to be dismissive of anyone and everyone.

Love your messages. Having lived thru the crap you did, I find complete enjoyment as you can now laugh about how they believed. Sadly, they are all broken people. YET, does not give them the right to treat people. Their behavior is pure projection. Surviving them has only made us stronger and better people. However, could have bypassed this chapter. Yes my sisters and i were abandoned by my mother at very young age, i was oldest, i am only one who is not npd in my family, or schizophrenic but i am depressive, i suffer from a lot of very low moods, up and down, up and down, its all i can do to make any plans because of my moods, i use drugs to try to control or dampen, and i am always thinking i am not good enough, so i think this has all ruined my life in ways, i have missed out on so much but i have also gained a lot of wisdom! But not all bad, i have $$ and many things others dont have materially, i don't have everything, i am not very wealthy but i don't need to skimp or worry and my intuition is very keen I know things way before others have a glimmer, i am artist too, amateur that is!

This is such a powerful message and it can inadvertently cause one to feel great empathy and fall back into their mess out of pity, but to understand it, and have compassion from a distance is the only way to handle it.

Yes. Well said. Empathy is helpful, but empathy based in reality will also tell you to keep your distance. Like… we can have empathy for a hungry lion, and that same understanding will tell us to have empathy from a distance.
