Their mimicry and the way they communicate with their skin and posturing fascinates me. They're problem solving abilities too.

Their overall curiosity and perception about the world. They don’t just identify the world around them as food and not food, but a sandbox just as awe inducing as they are🐙

the fact their tentacles can move and kinda think on their own. not to mention all their unique quirks, like being able to taste and smell through touch, and how they are made to never grab themselves by accident. and how expressive they are, they have a wide range of personalities and emotions specially for a animal that spends most of its time completely alone.

Their camouflage, their shape shifting, how they figure out stuff - especially escaping their tanks. People should never eat something smarter than they are; it should be illegal.

I agree 100%. I stopped getting food at my favorite Italian restaurant because they have calamari. That makes me feel so sad.

I think it's the fact that they amaze me by showing me all the time something new that they can do. I wonder if you set up those buttons that dogs use to talk to humans if an octopus could carry on a conversation with you also. That would be so cool.

The speed at which they can alter pattern, color, and texture is mind-blowing. I had a wonderful 30 minute experience with one last July in Bonaire (25.5 minute and 3.5 minute videos are on my channel in 4K).

Everything that everyone said but also… ok… they can grow back an arm complete with neuro-receptors…it’s like growing part of their brain back! I know other creatures can grow back tails, but they don’t taste with their tails!!! I wish there was more information about this.
