I need to drive less during the times when bars and clubs let out. Those people are a bit wild, and they make the car smell weird. They also generally don't leave very good ratings for whatever reason.

My friend and I just met up during our break talking about the same thing. Club rides are definitely not worth it anymore. Not to mention I heard it was harder to get money back from Uber/Lyft when someone throws up in your car. I really have no incentive to put up with the crap. Before, the money made me deal with a lot of crap. I usually take a nap during that time and prepare for the airport rides, or if I feel pretty good I purposely drive at least 30 to 40 minutes away from the clubs and do just as well if not better, without the stress. And if you are able to catch a high service and you have been driving for a long time with Lyft, they will only give you a basic ride. They save the good rides with the search for the new drivers. Ever since I became an old driver to them I have yet to get a long ride with a high served. It has been over a year since that has happened for me. They even give me one of the other. I can be in the surge Zone and get a decent ride and The Surge one apply to that ride because it's long. I don't get half of it good cause I used to get. I get a bunch of the basic rides. The only way I still get my come up is because I drive Lux and black. I usually keep one app only for those rides. So if I get one or two of those that's how I make the difference. Other than that I don't make any money without my Lux and black rides. They save the day.

I just got my account put on hold for one drunk person that report me because he want me to make a left turn on a red light and he try to get my phone to to finish the ride ! He hit my arm and start fighting I rapidly grab my phone ang got out of my car and called 911 ! And he call Uber and Uber immediately put my account on hold for investigation !

At .87 a mile I am not offering mints and water for a 5 minute trip. I do have phone chargers though. I treat everyone with respect. Some people are just jerks.

Lisa Barber totally agree. Lots of riders are too conditioned to not appreciate the fact that they are getting amazing service at a cheep price. It could be much worse, the rideshare could be gone and people would have to rely on taxis. This is not the majority of drivers I'm speaking of, but there's a lot that feel entitled.

You know Torsten, from the first video I saw of yours a few weeks ago, I knew I stumbled upon my "go-to" YT channel to learn valuable info so I can put it into play where I live here in Ottawa Canada. Great video... Been driving for UberXL and select for about a year now with 1000 total trips. My question is how do you consistently generate your tips? I receive tips, but just not consistently. My rating is a 4.89

The Uber SUV and Uber Lux categories definitely have major advantages when it comes to tips. My service is also beyond anything out there and I have many things on board, even Italian Natural hand creams, top of the line waters, magazines, newspapers etc. These clientele appreciate finer details

that is not true at all. you are limiting yourself. you start in X and you out in big hours and put money aside for a downpayment of a used XL, SUV or Lux. Many of my subscribers have done it, they followed a simple formula. If they could do it, you can to. Never limit yourself...shoot for higher goals, work towards your charter permit so you can get private trips

that is perfectly fine, you do not have to offer them anything. You most probably make up for that with a great personality and interact well with them. If you have high ratings, those factors, your clean car, your service justify the high ratings. I have driven in cars that were dirty and smelled like cigarettes and the driver could not care a f...k, even made the long trip. That driver I am sure does not work anymore and he has a lot of time to think about his next venture. Obviously customer service was not his strength
