I don't believe this will actually happen...but the coolest valonqar theory I've heard is that after his death, Tommen- Cersei's youngest child- will rise as a wight and strangle her. We know the wights seem to default to strangulation when they kill as demonstrated by the attacks on Will, Jon Snow, and Sam; so that's perfectly in line w/the valonqar's fated method. Again, I don't think that will happen, but it's pretty stinking cool to think about!

Cool idea would be really interesting if that did happen!

I think it's makes much more sense for the valonqar to be Tommen, since the prophecy says the valonqar, not your valonqar, and this is said in the sentence as Cersei's children. The valonqar of Cersei's children is Tommen.

This is a very interesting idea and something I never thought about, but knowing Tommen how would this happen?

I think Cersei killed her friend because she thought that would prevent the prophecy from coming true

I like the idea of younger Cersei being the prophesied queen, but the way that George worded Maggy’s prediction makes me think that won’t be true

I think the Valonqar is Jamie. He and Cersei may be twins, but she came out first, so technically, he is her little brother as well. It actually makes the most narrative sense for it to be Jamie. Cersei had always assumed the Valonqar was Tyrion, because she blamed him for her mother's death, and because it just never occurred to her that Jamie was technically younger than her as well. It's essentially a Macbeth-like plot twist. I actually don't think the Sand Snakes will kill Myrcella, because they never planned to do so in the books. I think it's possible that she will kill herself like how Tommen did in the show. Also, I like the idea that the "younger, more beautiful queen" is actually Cersei herself, because after all, she always referred to herself as the most beautiful woman in the world until she had her "Walk Of Atonement". By the end of that, she said that she felt "old and ugly". In other words, Cersei was cast down her own cruelty, and stupidity!

I like the idea that Myrcella will kill herself because she is depicted as sort of introvert and depressed to begin with. I think she doesn't want to be like Cersei
@sgauden02

@@theyoungwolf10 I think G.R.R.M may pull a switcheroo from the shows, and have Tommen be killed by Cersei's enemies, while Myrcella will be the one to leap to her death.

Tell me how could it be Jamie when the prophecy clearly says “wrap his hands around you pale throat” Jamie doesn’t have hands plural he has one hand. End of story it can’t be him
@sgauden02

@@mysteryjunkie9808 I don't think it'd be impossible for Jamie to choke Cersei to death. He could use his gold hand for bracing, while doing the actual choking with his remaining hand.

What if "the other, younger and more beautiful" is actually Brienne the Beauty?

Interesting take. It can also be noted that Brienne was also one of the, if not the most, major factors that made Jaime saw what kind of person Cersei actually is.

I'm almost certain the queen Will be Arianne. She will take king's landing alongside young Griff and kill Cersei's children. Cersei will attempt to return to king's landing and destroy Aerys style. But like before Jamie will end her before she can

This is a very difficult set of passages to interpret. I think instead of being right or wrong, it speaks more to Cersei's paranoia. Who is to replace her? The obvious choice would be Daenrerys or Margaery; but they technically rule concurrently to Cersei. I always thought this could be telling the truth but it was Cersei's character that was being addressed. She wanted to know her future out of confidence in herself or fear? I would say fear. All her questions to Maggy reflect that she is coming from a position of fear.
@thesynergyofblood

Technically, even if Tyrion is a Targ, he's still their blood is still her younger brother. My theory is Tywin has illegitimate children too. He clearly loved his wife and she made him smile/laugh, but perhaps he had times when he felt lonely and slept with one or more high born women that later gave birth but he may have been told they weren't his so he never said a thing about it again. Then one of them gets angry about the way Tywin's legitimate children have acted thinks s/he could do better and goes after the Throne. Cersei is killed by one of her half-siblings 😀And the Throne is taken by a new bastard House!
@TheGreaseGoblins
@TheGreaseGoblins 2 года назад
Quite possible but I would say with Tyrion being a Targ he would be a half brother at best not sure if that would still count.
@elpirato8268
@elpirato8268 2 года назад
While it's heavily hinted that Tywin visited brothels in while he was hand I don't see this making a lot of sense storywise. Especially the part of having a bastard gunning for the throne. This is because of two things. There are no characters that have been introduced in a way that indicates they are potential bastards of Tywin. It's a very low payoff for GRRM to set up the prophecy to have Cersei killed by a random character. Sure he could to do it to subvert a trope, but I feel that chance is slim. And in the society of ASOIAF no unknown bastard of child of Tywin is gonna have any legitimacy to build a power base to be able to gun for the throne. I highly doubt that any potential bastards of Tywin would even be alive knowing him.
@thesynergyofblood
@thesynergyofblood 2 года назад
@@elpirato8268 I know it’s unlikely as we’re not being introduced to anyone as a potential Tywin Lannister bastard. But one of the King’s Hands did have the tunnel to the whorehouse constructed to allow him to visit in secret in a way that his honour wouldn’t be affected. If Tywin slept with whores then did he make sure they couldn’t have his offspring? You’d think he would. The Lannisters had a lot of backing, if there was an illegitimate son or daughter of Tywin’s that appeared to have inherited his personality then it’s possible Lannister banner men would back this person. It would be an interesting parallel with Ned’s story, and his pretending to have fathered a bastard to protect Jon from Robert and any others who would kill a Targaryen descendant. Donnel Hill claims to be a Lannister bastard and it’s theorised that Marei is possibly his due to her personality and age. A whore with all that knowledge could blackmail a lot of important people and gain their support….
@elpirato8268
@elpirato8268 2 года назад
@@thesynergyofblood I see your point and where you are coming from but I would say that it still doesn't make sense in the world that GRRM has built. There are contrary to the Starks whose cadet-branches seems to be far more distant in relation, the Lannisters relatives seem far more closer and numerous. If the bannermen of the Lannisters would look to surplant Cersei, it would be very likely by elevating the Lannisters of Lannisport. Daven Lannister is Warden of the West. The only reason Jon is at the forefront of as a potential candidate is that A: he is raised by Ned, thus granting him legitimacy and the manners of a highborn and B: he is seemingly that last male heir of Ned. There are several Lannisters ahead of any bastardborn claimant would even be considered. And I don't think a whore trying to blackmail anyone would be able to gather support. She would be killed and that very very fast too, regardless of the truths of her claims.

I understand why people overthink the Younger and More Beautiful Queen concept, but in my opinion this obviously refers to Daenerys and there is no other good candidate. All the others would be highly metaphorical and stretchy, whereas Daenerys is literally a younger and more beautiful queen who is also literally planning to and just about to go after Cersei with the goal of casting her down and taking the throne.
@TheGreaseGoblins
@TheGreaseGoblins 2 года назад
My problem with this is I think Cersei is going to be dead by the time Dany even comes over. Also, Arianne will be a queen and so is Marg and both are described at extremely beautiful
@sgauden02
@sgauden02 2 года назад
There's a theory that the Younger, More Beautiful Queen is actually Cersei herself, cast down by her own cruelty and stupidity. Also, Maggy specifically said there would come "another, younger, and more beautiful", not that there would come "another, younger, and more beautiful QUEEN". It might be Brienne The Beauty who casts Cersei down, or Arya Stark for that matter.
@hugoferreira7992
@hugoferreira7992 2 года назад
@@TheGreaseGoblins, to be fair we don't know if Arianne will be queen at all. This is a coin toss to me. And for Margaery, as far as I could tell in the books she is nothing near the devious and cunning Margaery from the show. She appears to be completely naive and oblivious to Cersei's scheming, and the mere fact that Cersei suspects her to be the YMBQ the entire time, while ignoring Daenerys' entire existence, further suggests that she is not. I mean, Marg is Cersei's first and only suspect.
@TheGreaseGoblins
@TheGreaseGoblins 2 года назад
@@hugoferreira7992 Agreed I don’t think it is Marg but I think it is more likely than Dany just based on the time frame. For Dany to be the one Cersei has to somehow keep power for at least another book which just seems unlikely to me
@hugoferreira7992
@hugoferreira7992 2 года назад
@@TheGreaseGoblins, admittedly I have no idea how Cersei will manage to regain power, judging by her current position. But the fact that she has survived this far and still needs to rise to power so that the prophecy can later be fulfilled (she must be "cast down" etc), it makes me believe she will somehow manage to pull the rug from under the Tyrells and seize the throne. This looks almost impossible right now, but it has to happen. If I were the writer, I would have a hard time making it play out, which only makes me very curious to see how GRRM has done it. That said, taking for granted that she will rise again, it probably won't be a small thing or just for a fortnight. Maybe Aegon will establish his foothold in the Stormlands but Cersei will secure the Crownlands, and the war will stall until Dany arrives. I don't know. It just feels wrong that Dany won't have the chance to even see or interact in any way with a rival of Cersei's standing. It would be a letdown to not be able to see them meet even once. And we already know Dany will probably meet Stannis, given that she saw the blue-eyed king with a flame sword in one of her visions.

Mind you Maggy didn't really say that it's going to be a younger and more beautiful Queen, she olny said that there will come another who is younger and more beautiful too cast Cersei down and take all she holds dear, as in her children and the power she holds. I mean it's rather interesting of how Cersei keeps reminiscing of how beautiful Rhaegar Targaryen was, even more so than her beautiful twin brother Jamie who looks just like her. And now her comes the young and dashing Aegon who claims to be the son of the beautiful Prince Rhaegar who on the surface looks just like him...

That just makes it even more likely. Lets GRRM add some extra flair to her death by describing the feeling of cold metal on her throat as she dies. A hand is a hand even if it's a fake gold one, so he'd still work with the prophecy.
