80% of the Macdonalds ingredients for McDonald's in Russia were manufactured from russian 3rd party businesses. So they still have all the recipies for the food, so it will be the same as McDonald's.

At the end of the day, it's the workers who make the food, not the company. McDonald’s left Russia, but the workers are still there.

This looks like a Russian gain/advantage. Anyone else starting a new business from scratch can never have the same advantages- A large chain of restaurants with trained staff & inventory, a big national reputation of being a known burger 🍔 joint, A business blueprint with business systems that are well proven to be money 💰 making. No one in the whole world- yet the Russian have it all & will just carry on where McDonald's left.

This is actually a win for Russia 🇷🇺, they don’t need to pay 10% franchise fees to McDonalds anymore .

I don’t poke my nose into the current situation but I’m really happy that the people of Russia can at least still enjoy their comfort food during these wicked times.

Even if it's a rip off, I'm glad that Russian people can have a job at least. I mean, even down south in MEXICO, there's some unknown chain restaurants in a few cities who have their own brand and it's good as it's a Mexican brand.

Look at the menus. It’s 145 Rubles for egg sandwich and hash Browns. It’s like $2 for that. The same thing here in Canada would be over $5.

While no trade with usa and Europe will change russian supply chain, people have to remember half the world still trades with russia. China, the middle east, india etc still trade with russia.

Am I the only one that sees that their logo is similar to the Marriott Hotel chain logo? The only thing that may get in the way is supply chain issues. They may end up with completely different menu items and who knows maybe even in the long run some items will be much better.

All the suppliers are in Russia, so it was trivial to restart McDonaldski. Nothing the USA can do about it. Confiscating and restarting something far more complex that requires imported components is far more difficult, like a car factory for example.

So really this is showing that Russia’s economy is still strong considering the “sanctions” in place? We’re suffering through cost of living but it doesn’t appear that they’re effected by this. Or it could be propaganda. Thought also they couldn’t withdraw money and the collapse to Russia’s economy (Ruble) but it doesn’t appear so. So what has the sanctions achieved?

I don't get the comments in here, is the taste being same as McD a good thing? Why not create your own taste the way how you like it? Why does it have to taste like McD? Agreed that McD lost, but they wanted out because of the war, they already knew that they were going to lose money and business, and they chose to exit and take the loss. Also their marketing, and product development teams are doing great jobs ... So yes everyone can make burgers, but can you make burgers that taste the same, at the same price, with the same level of quality&service over several years ?

At least Russian ingredients are not GMO, it actually tastes decent compared to US McDonald's.
