@quell quell it works! I discovered this at about 21 years old. I asked a man I seeing at the time where we were headed because months had passed. He said he wasn't ready, I respected it and withdrew. I was still talking to other guys so I gave him no more of my energy. Men are not attracted to that energy.... i mean, you are the subtle and femenine part. To say no when it is required, to be silent when you want, to be mysterious... if you are a woman inside but somehow you had switched off that part and become more masculine you will struggle a lot. If you date and behave as a man (casual sex, being upfront or too direct, ask him to date you, etc) you will feel exhausted, drained and used... believe me it doesn't work out at all

Tell him that you portrait yourself married with a worthy man and with children in a near future. Tell him that you want a family but dont include him. Dont include the man you are dating because you dont know if he will put effort in a relationship. Dont tell him that he needs to make the move.... just say this is a subtle and feminine way in a playful way. Say sth like: "well, i have always wanted to get marry and have children, i guess that i am dating because i will love to find a worthy man to settle and have a beautiful union with and a beautiful family" If he feels that he wants that he will make it happen... however, keep your options open

@@Theblackswan55 I don't understand "flipping the script" I basically told him that I would like to be married. It came up in a conversation about where we want to be in two years. I get the feeling that he knows I'm completely committed to the relationship (5 months), which I am, but it shouldn't be in a way that comes from a goal orriented place. I feel like I looked needy not sure how to turn that around.
