Another excellent teacher is Florence of Handmade by Florence on RU-vid. She has a step by step tutorial for knitting a pair of lace socks. I used the tutorial but left out the pattern and successfully knitted a pair of vanilla socks. I’d really struggled before watching her.

I’m sooooo jealous the cats snuggle together! My 15 yr old is crotchety and won’t be nice to the 2yr old. They barely lay a few feet from each other when they sleep with me. Loving the Easter Egg sweater! Great colors. Need to get back to my sweaters. I’m busy with cowl and socks. Thanks for sharing. One of your #1’s. ❤

Your pastel stripe sweater is delightful! A little bit bigger is a good thing. It won’t cling to you when it’s hot outside and you layer something underneath if it’s cold. Win-Win! I cannot wait to see the completed sweater. 🧶🧶🧶 It’s not a disaster zone. It’s a highly trafficked creative space. You’re fortunate to have a room dedicated to all your crafting endeavors. Enjoy it messy or clean. I love, love, love the “Home Sweet Home” pattern although it looks like it has a lot of confetti stitches. 😱😱😱 You dislike filling in large, tedious spaces and I loathe confetti stitches. I really like the molding you selected. The manager should have offered an appointment with the framer and a rain check for the 70% off. It’s her job to make you happy. She needs to be reminded of her job description. 😃😃😃 Did you finish the quilt you were QAL-ing with Liz Mathews and I missed the video? Just curious. 👀👀👀 🐈‍⬛🐈🐈 The true stars of the video!

Beautiful yarn. You do beautiful work. Thank you for the reality of wanting to do it all along with dealing with work, the everyday activities and then organizing and house cleaning. The blue fabric for the skipjack sampler has the stormy cloudy look type of day. The before looks like any crafter’s room at some point of their day.

Girl! You know your way around a sweater! It's gorgeous! I wish I knew how to knit one just like it!!! Have you ever considered teaching a step by step tutorial on making this sweater or do you know of one on RU-vid that I could stitch along? The cream collar is beautiful. Don't second guess it, it's perfect. Remember in school when they said always go with the first answer? Go with it. I enjoyed this style of video so much! PS your studio is awesome! I'm a fan! Hi Liz, your sweater looks amazing. I think the collar looks fine. Once you get the cuffs on the sleeves and bottom it will all fall into place. Love your color choice. Don’t think about the size yet!! It’s looks GREAT on you. Everyone has a craft room in disarray at some time or another. No worries. I feel like I clean mine and it still looks out of sorts. 😅I love the teal and hot pink for your scarf. I also need to tell you how good you’re looking. Your gym workouts have really paid off. I have to agree with everyone that I love any and everything you craft! I just love your personality and your love of crafts. Btw, I think you could be a personal shopper for yarns! I love your choices for your sweater and your new scarf. You’ve motivated me to get out my knitting. I’ve knitted since 1983. Sweaters were big then so I made several then I got lazy and made scarves. I’d love to make a shawl and am thinking I’d like to learn socks. I throw my yarn and am interested in how you knit. Great video! I will make you feel better about your room. I couldn't even walk into mine! It is just off the foyer and I had been putting boxes in there rather than putting stuff away. I actually had to clear a path to get to my table to even begin organizing. Ugh... I have too many quilting projects in various stages of incomplete.

The vlog for the week was great!! And I got to see the kitties without coming into contact with them…severely allergic! What a great life they have! 😂. I wondered if you might do a little tutorial on how you throw your yarn Elizabeth style..it’s unique. It looks very efficient and I think it’s faster than my old-fashioned traditional way of throwing the yarn. Old dogs can learn new tricks!! 😊.

Thank you! I was taught to crochet first so was used to holding my yarn in my left hand and it felt easier to wrap rather than pick so that’s my little unique way of knitting! I think continental is probably faster than my way though!

This was really fun Liz. Your new sweater is looking so gorgeous. We had the Bay Area Yarn Crawl the last 10 days and I met Knitty Natty at our local yarn shop - so fun to meet her, husband & sweet pup, Toaster. I’m still working hard on my beanie, almost done with the body, then onto the top & decreasing- scary! I bought all the yarn to make the Poppy beanie from the Knitting California book- color work eeeeek! Just love your Love Boats finish!

Your sweater is coming along beautifully. Do you swatch in the round for your sweaters? I loved following along on your week. Ah keeping a crafting room straightened up is a challenge. I am working on mine and it's looking pretty good however the closet where I store some of my supplies is a whole other story. I look forward to the video about measuring cross stitch for framing.
