Absolutely. Sometimes wanting to do things you so call "the right way" can lead you to to an inception of absolute loop. In simple word, stop thinking to much bruh, JUST DO...start SOMEWHERE.

Definitely very helpful advice for 3D, something I've been thinking about a lot. Like you'll be in the design phase working on assets and think like "how am I gonna animate all 3 of these characters to interact correctly in the scene" or "is this going to import correctly with all the props in the right place" etc etc stuff like that, and really you just have to worry about that when you get there, have a loose plan like a storyboard and a collection of all the assets you think you need but until you get to those steps in the process its just gonna add stress thinking about things you're not on yet

There's one example of this that has kept me from worrying about having everything planned out in advance and scratching that perfectionist itch.... Miyazaki started illustration and production on some of his top films with no more than a few sentences of a plot planned in advance. Locations, characters, themes, all of that was added as the world the Ghibli studio was building grew.

​ @Deji D Same thought. When i started to get into 3D, i really didn´t know where to start. 3D was just fucking overwhelming. So much different software. So little information. Now you have all those great guides to start with. Sure it is still not easy. But the entry point was higher. But anyway, it is what it is. You got to dig deep, and it is painful. But also the opposite.

Putting too much on the outcome of a project can make it feel overwhelming too. It’s best to make a list of things you’d like to do eventually and just start a project you’re interested in without thinking about it too much. Getting started is the hardest part

Just START SOMEWHERE. When you start doing something, it can lead you to something else, you can get more ideas and at the end of the process you'll exclame yourself "well, I wasn't expecting this at the beginning, that project turned around pretty good than I expected!". Stop putting in your mind that you want to do something "awesome, EPIC" etc... Even little things can be "awesome". Just start by doing something and as you progress you'll have more and more ideas. Like J Hill said, it's getting started the real deal and that's where you can encounter that worst devil "Procrastination".

Yea I like using a Mac. I have a PC too with an Nvidia GPU so I can take advantage of those things but for the most part it doesn’t matter. It’s mattering more in the real-time realm for now. I do want to do a little office tour video soon and share info about my setup for those curious

I used an iMac Pro for 4-5 years. Now I use the Studio Ultra for my mac and I have a PC too

You can use Blender and get results like Blender for sure. Biggest difference right now is hair I think.

@@artofjhill excellent. I'm an audio engineer, and when I first started I sat for hours and developed sciatica, carpal tunnel, back pain, hip pain, all kinds of dysfunctions. As soon as I switched to a standing desk it all went away.
