Hi Lydia! I am a 64 year old Australian fashion lover. What I really appreciate about you and your channel is your timeless class and style. The pieces you wear can be worn by anyone from 16 to 86!!! @@annan.3283 I think Lydia's style is full of class. Very French or Italian. Most 20 somethings dress like they are ready to be the main act in strip joints! You can thank the Karshashians for the slutty style dressing!

@@annan.3283 yes it is not typically seen on 20+ because many young ladies lack sense of fashion/ style. Many of them wear clothes which do not fit well. They wear heavy makeup , have long fake nails and very damaged hair. Lydia is georgues and she knows how to style well timeless pieces. Love her.

I am 54, similar height/wt/body shape. Lydia has taught me much and is my go-to for style tips. I used to grab my mother's Chaus silk blouses when I was her age, so I totally get it. She definitely appreciates timeless style, although she modernizes and elevates outfits. The only rule I follow that is different is I won't wear sleeveless shirts that have such open arm holes where the bra is so largely revealed. Zara does this, so beware. Lydia wears theses, but is careful not to pose in video to where these pieces show prominently.

Just wanted to say “thank you”. I have a long white linen skirt that I’ve never worn as I never felt comfortable styling it. Whipped that sucker out yesterday with brown sandals, belt and a thin jumper and owned it. Felt fab and so many compliments so thanks Lydia for the inspo Lx

I do love classic tailored styled neutrals. Then I accessorise with a hint of color. I love clean chic looks pretty much at all times, interspersed on a rare occasion with a dash of bohemian vibe. 😊

I'm 5'2" and I'm looking for skirts right now as I only have two knee length ones I never wear . (I live in CA) I like the small pleats in the long skirt you;re wearing, it is pretty on you and the skirt doesn't balloon out as well. I appreciate your styling tips and how you put together neutral outfits.

I’m with you 💯 Lydia. It’s too easy to get distracted so you’re right about having a plan and sticking with it. Also sticking to what you love and suit as it’s easy to see items that look amazing but don’t fit with your personal style. Looking forward to hearing more from you in this. 😘

Very excited about your new direction. Here for it. One of my wardrobe planning principles is to have attention on my bottom half, be it with colour, silhouette or detail, and keep the top half simple. That works for my body shape and means I can get lots of wear out of all my items, by minimising clashes of prints or colours etc, on tops vs. bottoms.

I like how you talk about context dressing! I live in the U. S. Pacific Northwest - we dress casually - experience rain, wind, sun similar to the UK. How do you think about what to wear for a day out and about with new friends and no real plans? Lol, your answer might be - make plans! I would love to see content about what you do in these situations - I feel overwhelmed by them!

I Love your tips to Elevate my wardrobe. I am have worked yesterday to take everything out of the closet and only have my solid color clothing out for the next six weeks. I kept 3 dresses. Lydia, your channel has grown so rapidly and it is due to the quality of your production and the truth of your message. You are resonating with us all. I love: natural fibres, a limited colour palette of pastels and neutrals, tailored pieces, versatile pieces that I can mix and match with and quality over quantity. Agree with all your tips. I like natural fibers but sometimes a blend works better: silk with linen for a softer fabric, linen with cotton for less wrinkles etc...

Hi Lydia, I love natural fibres too. I am menopausal, so it’s an absolute must. I recently purchased some pjs from H&M in organic cotton, they are really comfy and breathable. I also noticed they do linen night wear too. I’m going super neutral this season too. I have naturally a pinkish skin tone, but love warm tones. I do warm up my face with self tan and bronzer (naturally of course!) what neutrals do you recommend for a cooler skin tone? X

Lovely video! I like your style and vibe. I am also a big fan of block colors and a classic sophisticated style. Although being a sewing youtuber i every time again gravitate to floral fabrics! I love florals but somehow my style is more minimalist. But now half of my wardrobe is also florals 🤣. Presume that sews nicer, a fabric with a print than just a plain color?? 😂

I have been looking for a skirt just like that since last summer. Unfortunately, my size is sold out! (Story of my life) The Natural Fiber clothes go in & out. I think they do look more expensive, but the up keep is also more high maintenance. You really have to like to iron or pay for your clothes to be dry cleaned (which is not good for the environment). I saw that primary colors will be "on trend" this year. IMO, Primary colors are always classic. I have had a Red wool blazer for almost 20 years that is gorgeous. It just makes a neutral outfit POP! Don't rule out those Pops of color, in a bag, shoes or a coat or jacket. 😘

Can I recommend a steamer to your wardrobe? U never need to iron anything, and lots of so-called dry-clean only clothes can be hand-wash as well, with a good steam of course.

Lydia, I love seeing you in those skirts with shirts or sweaters that drape off the side onto your hips, but, alas, try though I might to use that look on myself, it just makes my hips look big. If I were as beautiful as you, and had your same great figure, it would be a cool look, but I think for most of us, with our imperfect figures, It works less well. Sad...
