You gotta love Toriyama's writing. Making changes to his formula almost ALWAYS has some crazy ripple effect. Every "bad" thing that happens is balanced out. You make the heroes stronger and have them win fights they previously lost, and suddenly things somehow end up worse in the long run. You lose characters, techniques, transformations, etc. I've always noticed that about DBZ. The consequences of altering the story are always pretty drastic and rarely good. Still interesting, though.
*is This **-what if-** series gonna end at Super's Start or the end of GT?* *_OR BOTH?!?_* Write your comments for where u want it to end. MasakoX is looking and listening 👂👀
Well he might still be single, 18 fell for him because of the events through out Cell Saga. Seeing as none of that ever happened and 18 never even sees Krillin there is no reason to say they would end up together.
Riko Wolfin The same could be said with Vegeta and Bulma. But the namek saga could have still maybe sparked a romance. Vegeta didn't come back to way later according to Masako
Actually I don't think it would. As far as I'm concerned, when Cell absorbs the androids they don't die so imperfect cell wouldn't have killed 18. Technically it would be Goku who had killed 18 so the wish would have no effect.
New what if Scenarios. What if Goku married Bulma? What if Gohan defeated Frieza on namek? What if Vegeta was unimpressed and killed semi-perfect Cell.
Second one just wouldn't happen. Maybe Krillin cutting Freeza in half? Way more likely. Or even the spirit bomb killing Freeza, which is the most likely.
1. Currently on going now 2. Yeah, wouldn't happen 3. Vegeta would've ended the Cell Saga, which he would gloat about and Gohan wouldn't have become Super Saiyan 2 unless him and Goku kept training. Krillin and 18 would get in a relationship like normal but it'd take longer, 16 would still be around, Goku wouldn't discover Super Saiyan 3 or Fusion in the after life.
"Vegeta grabs Goku by the Gi and pulls him inside the chamber" With that 1 line, I am now convinced MasakoX has written Goku/Vegeta fanfiction before ;D
Yeah its like in the original manga they were referred to as Cyborgs or something....oh wait. Technically 17 and 18 are true Cyborgs and the rest (including the 3 movie villains) are all Androids. Who cares? It's the late 80's just call 'em something science-fictiony! Toriyama said this, I'm sure.
Hi I'm Nico! 16 isnt an android or a cyborg he is a robot because robot mean that no human parts so if you dont know something dont start writing Public comments you will tell people wrong things even if it is just an anime
What if kid Goku went Super Saiyan, which lead to Raditz turning good to be on the side of the legendary warrior and leads to Trunks being stronger and more prideful from being raised by Raditz so ends up not killing a frieza lacky that blows up his time machine. There, wrapped it all up in a nice little bow.
Buu doesn't exist because everyone too damn strong so devil man gets ass blasted and bapidi's vaporized. All the saiyans will max out SSJ 2, Raditz being dead last for the lulz before Super starts. Don't really see what'd be different besides the Pan announcement happening later in super and not in the movie to allow the SSJ God ritual for Goku with future trunks and Raditz there. This time Raditz grovels even more than Vegeta in front of Beerus, their panicked need to entertain being the main comedy of the movie/arc. After that when Whis is convinced to train people ;Raditz spars with future trunks while Goku spars with Vegeta, Gohan training Goten and Kid Trunks (kid Trunks has grown to calling future trunks "uncle me" after growing up with him around his whole life saying things such as "Yo uncle me, sup??") Everyone becomes SSJ Blue, BUT Goku never learned the Kaioken. Hit would beat everyone...or will he? After he's starting to get bored beating Vegeta Trunks and a longer fight with Gohan who is being evasive trying to figure out Hit, but miscalculates and gets defeated. Raditz possibly losing to freeza clone earlier in the tournament. Hit's surprised to see Goku block his attacks, even better than in Super mind you since he had a lot more fights to watch to mentally prepare. Without Kaioken however he can't keep up when Hit gets serious, still impressed by Goku but a shorter anticlimactic end I don't see later character development between the two would be very different. Hit takes the fall as a courtesy to Goku for actually giving him some fun and Beerus makes the same wish he did in Super. Future Trunks arc; ...welp... shit, zeno might wipe out universe 7 because Goku couldn't get him future zeno as a friend! I don't really know what to do here if anyone actually reads this and has their own theory to continue this I'm totally interested to read it!
Remember in this current What if Krillin is only like 15 by the end (iirc); however in the next one he will be 22. Also, 18 should not be dead at the end of this installment as the wish by Goku and Gohan would have brought her back to life. I think that she will show back up at the Tenkaiichi Budokai at the start of the Buu arc; and that will be where she meets Krillin and they become infatuated with each other.
Tintillo Roldan Part 1: Saiyan Blood Part 2: Dragon Tendency Part 3: Z-Crusaders Part 4: Goku is Unbreakable Part 5: Capelli Aureo (Golden Hair) Part 6: Namek Ocean Part 7: Dragon Ball Run Part 8: GoGolion
In the Super Manga Trunks revealed a form that was, essentially, Full Powered SSJ2. It rivaled, if not surpassed, SSJ3 in its strength and was so strong that Goku decided to abuse God Form to get a cheap win over Trunks in their fight. I think that, since Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan were all training and practicing SSJ2 over 7 years, at least one of them (I'd actually say Gohan) should have obtained this form going into Part 5. Perhaps have it be a trump card he's been holding onto for the next time him and his Father sparred, but instead has to reveal it in his fight with Majin (or maybe Super) Buu.
After looking it up the form seems to be dubbed as "Strengthened Super Saiyan 2". Neat. Either way hopefully Masako sees this before doing Part 5. Would be radical to see it added in.
Vegeta used something called the "Quake of Fury", which is the act of using intense rage to strengthen the power of the SSJ2 transformation. Think of it as more of the Grade 2 SSJ form for SSJ2, where as "Strengthened SSJ2" would be the equivalent of Full Power SSJ2. It's actually somewhat similar to Trunks' "Super Saiyan Rage" form that he takes later on during the fight against Zamasu and Black. Perhaps we'll see Vegeta obtain that form as well in the future, maybe?
True, though there wasn't much note of a power up at all for the anime version so I'm not fully sure the form exists there even if the wiki does label it as such. Just seemed like he did a regular power up to me as opposed to going Full Power.
That was the remade time machine that could fit more people. If you go back into dragon ball z you will see how vary vary vary small that time machine really is. There is no way in hell second form cell could fit into that.
It didn't end up mattering anyway. Cell never got to the chance to acquire the time machine anyway. But IF he did, then I guess he could to into his larvae state and would just grow back into his Semi-Perfect state when he reached Trunk's timeline.
+MFAniki6390 yep, if he can recover in his current strongest form from a single cell such as what happened after he blew up there's no doubt he could recover back to that form after reverting to larval state.
Why didn't cell just go stright to killing people after going back in time the first time then? By this logic he could of recovered back to his first form and not have to burrow into the ground for 5 years.
He might still have had to burrow into the ground for 5 years; but he would have came back as Semi Perfect Cell. The real question is why didn't he go back and use the original time machine he stole?
I know this is strange, but due to the wish's wording wouldn't 18 come back? "Everybody killed by Gero and his creations." 18 Was killed by Cell, a creation of Gero.
I think that he wasn't completely thinking of everything when he did the end of this installment. I think a better way he could have said it was that 18 was dead before Krillin and her even had a chance to meet, as such she can be alive but neither of them know each other (or that she has a booby bomb). I think she will show up and meet (a now legal) Krillin at the Tenkaiichi Budokai that takes place during the Buu Saga.
LainK1978 Maybe, or it's also possible he overlooked this thought when he had that wish in mind. I just wanted to bring it to his attention in case he didn't realize it, or maybe he did; like you said; and the two will meet at this tournament.
@@GFCOLCQuote I know I'm a year late on this, but just for the record, the androids don't die when cell absorbs them (he coughs up a live 18 in the actual series), so technically, Goku killed her in this scenario.
@@Judgement_Kazzy Didn't that same wording bring back 17 though in the show? I mean, I guess technically the first time Cell exploded he blew up himself, but he didn't die so that shouldn't count as killing 17 either.
She is brought back, but the events that sparked the romance between her and Krillin never happened. Without the threat of Cell bringing the two together, it's unlikely that they become a thing until Maijin Buu at earliest. Though, this does present an issue @MasakoX; Without the threat of Cell to humble the androids, and without their interaction with Krillin, wouldn't the androids still be hostile towards Goku and friends?
Well after figuring out that that they killed Cell, what ever Cell was exactly, and seeing 16 with them I doubt 18 would be starting up trouble. Now that I think about it that could be a way to get Krillin and 18 together, have them go out looking for the dragon balls to wish her brother back and they bond that way.
but they never got to see 18 out of the pod or make a relationship with her the wish would of brought her back but not 17 so she would never meet the Z fighters unless she desires to one day
masako ur deductions are absolutely great, the only thing i have to say is that since goku unlocked the supersaiyan transformation when he was a kid means that gohan should have been born with a higher powerlevel or transform into a supersaiyan much earlier than what i describe because goten was able to transform so early, so when gohan gets his potential unlocked by elder guru he in advertantly becomes a super saiyan, which quickly leaves him exhausted as he has never transformed before
Want proof? Black goku at base was as powerful as ssgss vegeta since he took hits from him and simply brushed it off. Ssjr has the same multiplier as ssjb and goku in god form now is on par or above black. Meaning that base goku = base black = ssgss vegeta in the tournament saga
Yes... and ssgss goku later beat hit without the kaioken and hit had improved. Meaning that gohan basically beats everybody from the tournament saga from hours of training
Goddess of Chaos Well she might hang out with 16 for a while, who tells her she doesn't have to fallow her programing and she hooks up with Krillin but much later then in the main story. Which if all goes well, means she'd be pregnant during the Buu Saga.
skyler kelloe I don't think so. The way I understand it is, 17 was killed by Cell when he blew himself up, not upon being absorbed unlike Cell's human victims. Therefore was brought back when they wished all of Cell's victims back. Since 18 was technically still alive inside of Cell, she was killed alongside him by Goku's Kamehameha and wouldn't have counted as Goku isn't one of Gero's creations.
Unlike the regular humans imperfect cell drank, 17 and 18 are kept alive inside of cell. 17 died when cell blew himself up on king kai's planet, making him a kill by the hands of gero's creations. In this what if, 18 is still alive inside of cell, and got killed by goku when he vaporized cell. So 18 would not count as a kill by the hands of gero's creations.
We got supreme Kai fusion but he's something Masako couldn't the supreme Kai assistant teach some of the zfighters that godly Instant transmission beacuse they can go in the room of spirt and time
Yeah Supreme Kai's gonna' have to taxi everyone around instead of Goku, but without Majin Vegeta fighting Goku there won't be enough expended energy to create buu assuming Babidi isn't destroyed when Gohan first faces him anyway. You can't teach it, just like Whis can't teach his technique it comes with the job/species basically.
"next, hopefully last, part" um, no. You NEED to keep making these., They're SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD. I'd even watch ones based on GT. Super would be good too though O:
at this point the balls seperating would be slow enough for most of the z warriors to chace after them as they do (kid goku was fast enough to grab the 4 star before it flew of), so if they really wanted to they could grab all 7 then skip the entire searching process.
No, because it's the guardian of earth or the guardian of namek that summons the dragon, it is connected to the planet itself so it would run on earth's time. The balls are a tool to summon the dragon who otherwise sleeps in the planet...probably in the nice warm lava, very cozy for a dragon I'd wager. I know this because they would've done it otherwise lol.
Cell wouldn't have died there. :/ Goku would have shot the beam and in a last ditch effert, cell would have slapped and deflected the beam (blowing off his arm, but regeneration), then Cell would have hid and kept trying. Eventually somehow Cell would have gotten to his Perfect form. How? Because *plot*.
Masakox I have a GREAT idea in my opinion. Do a MEGA what if where you try to put most if not all of your what ifs into one video. I believe this would be a really good video cause it would work quite well. Like what if goku went ssj as a kid and what if trunks got stuck in the past and what if radits changed to good those would work well together I believe. Please guys if you like this idea please like it so masakox can see it.
Just a few off the top of my head: What if Future Goten also existed ? What if Trunks Timeline got te namekian dragonballs? What if spovovich and yamu waited until after the tournament to steal energy? What if Chichi managed to beat Goku in their tournament Fight? What if Launch was a Saiyan? What if YAMCHA was a Saiyan? What if Tien, Yamcha and Piccolo learned king Kais techniques?
The first sentence says the second sentence is lying about the first sentence being true, there for the first sentence truly is false, nothing convoluted about that
love this addition, although I do have to say, I am upset that hogan wasn't the person to defeat cell and unlock ssj2. But you should do another one of these: "What if Gohan stayed the main character in the buu arc." I'd love to see how things would've turned out.
Majin Buu will never be born because vegeta is not mad anymore because gohan is stronger now or vegeta will not let babidi control him because he know that he can be more stronger than goku.and the z fighters can take dabura
Actually, there IS a big impact from a lack of fusion. Goku was able to keep Buu sort of under control by saying "Wait 3 days, and a fighter stronger than you will appear!". Without fusion for Goten and Trunks to learn, unless Goku thinks three days (two of him, Gohan and Vegeta, and one for the kids) in the Time Chamber will work, then he can't bluff to Buu, and things will get messy.
Super saiyan wouldn’t really have draw backs in Gt with this what-if, this could change things and there still’s more differences but that’s the first one that comes to mind
But Cell is at the same heigth than Piccolo (220 cm) and Goku is just 175 cm. Cell also has a large tail, big wings and a crown. That is why could no fit on the time machine.
It's debatable that this cell would have Namekian DNA. Piccolo Jr. does not exist and we know Cell's DNA comes from him because he knows the Special Beam Cannon. However, that might only apply to the cell in the basement of Dr. Gero's lab. The adult Cell might still be from a timeline where Goku didn't become a Super Saiyan as a child.
I can't help but feel that MasakoX has been irreversibly corrupted by the English Dub's herofication of Goku. Hearing a lot of "Leave and never return" from a character who's actual goal in life is to fight stronger people, despite the consequences.
Vance Miller, Jr I agree about the second part of your statement, but the "Superman" Goku isnt exactly bad. He's just using the English material because it's what he grew up with. That doesn't mean he's been 'irreversibly corrupted'. He knows that the Japanese Goku is different. I like both Gokus, but I grew up with the funimation dub and so I like that one a little bit more.
I am in the same boat, I grew up with the Ocean Dub and then eventually the Funimation run... but if I were going to predict how an anime would go in a "What if" scenario, I'd try to keep the material as close to the original author's intent as possible. We're seeing a good deal of the original intent being displayed by Super's current depiction of Goku and the other characters, so straying from Akira Toriyama's image of his character can be very jarring, judging from how the Dub treated Z.
Vance Miller, Jr I agree, I would stick to the original personalities as well for a what if. I love how Super is staying with the character's original personality. It was odd at first, only ever watching the English version of DB,DBZK, and DBZ. Now I like Vegeta and Goku more knowing their original personalities.
Exactly, the Funimation dub was.. for a lack of a better word, Fun... but the original personalities and motivations are so incredibly engrossing. It changes the entire dynamic of how enemies can become allies and even lovers, in the case for 18.
That's also why I enjoy DBZ Abridged series so deeply because it is a fantastic blend of the goofy original and the serious dub. It was the perfect primer for going from Z to Super because it maintained the same narrative without destroying what Z became in the US.
Masako answered this. There's supplies for 2 people, but if you ration it out you can cram extra in. Your average human can last ~30 days with no food, so it's not that far fetched to say that a Saiyan can last a few weeks without food. Also: Senzu beans.
Except in the last part, Masako said that King Kai taught him everything including his version of Instant Transmission as a thank you for taking out the freeza.
What if: They used the dragonballs to upgrade the room of spirit and time to have an unlimited supply of senzu beans? - They can train much harder and faster. - They can train with as many as they want. - They have an easily accessible location to grab senzu beans any time they need supplies. How would this affect things?
Masako you are such good narrator, I can totally imagine Goku vs Cell battle in big city. Can't wait for part 5. Hope its not final, it would be interesting to see Android 16 in the Universe 6 tournament.
I know Super fit 4 people into the time machine, but remember that originally, Imperfect Cell had to revert to his larval form to use the time machine. Perhaps it was because he was too tall, not necessarily occupied a huge volume? If everyone is smarter this time, they'd bring in the Elder Kai (if he pops up) into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to unlock everyone's potential.
I think you've overlooked Gohan's 2 main upgrades compared to the original timeline coming up: 1. His rage boost still has yet to be fully utilised so at max SS2 level it could push him over into SS3. 2. At his new power level then what could he get unlocked with the Elder Kai's ritual? Personally I reckon Gohan will get his place a main protagonist with Buu given both the above and if he is continuing to train with Goku then his combat senses will be much better and thus less likely to drop his guard around to let Buu become Buuhan.
It's a good story. With their levels being closer Vegeta won't feel the urge to go Majin to test himself against Goku, and they're both immensely powerful, as is Gohan. No SSJ3 Gotenks, but SSJ2 Goten and Trunks will still be pretty impressive. With three SSJ2 Saiyans there's a fair chance that Bobidi will get squashed without a chance to resurrect Buu.
It seems likely that Gohan won't need his Great Saiyaman alter-ego in this timeline, since having Goku in his life probably means he can be more open about being a powerful martial artist. That's both a little bit TRAGIC and potentially pretty cool, as he could be more open about his life with his classmates, and maybe even do a little bit of teaching after school.
You can point out that 4 grown adults fit into the time machine all you want, Cell is larger than all of them. Not only that, Cell himself said that he had to revert just to fit, so....
Can't wait to get to the Majin Buu saga of this What If, I'm sure it's going to be very interesting. I'm personally a bit bummed about the absence of Super Saiyan 3 and Metamoresian Fusion, but them's the breaks with changing how the timeline goes. Still hoping for some really cool scenarios. Like if Semi-Perfect Cell was able to stick around longer (only to be killed off before getting a chance to go Perfect, lol), maybe Super Buu will get to be around longer too. Maybe they'll even defeat and destroy him before he de-evolves into Kid Buu, saving a lot of trouble and Dragon Ball wishes. Or maybe the absence of Fusion just makes things harder, who knows?
on 4:14 even tho it's a what if story but jesus...i got chills when i imagined it if it was animated seeing imperfect cells bloody hand drawing "Hope!!" while pulling off a big smirk wow O_o xDD
Part of me has always figured that Semi-Perfect Cell's aggression and more masculine shape came from absorbing 17. When he absorbs 18, his form edges closer towards a more handsome, lean figure. Not feminine per se, but more feminine than Semi-Perfect. With that in mind, what if absorbing 18 first had given him a different Semi-Perfect form and personality?
Goku(different what if): goes SSJ in the saiyan saga, and becomes SSB in frieza saga and probably would have been UI in the cell saga Goku(this what if): goes SSJ years before the other goku, yet still isn't SSJ2 during the cell saga
Over all, this "What If" is pretty solid. However, there's one part of this scenario that you may have kind of flubbed a bit. "Full-Power Super Saiyan" isn't technically a separate transformation that can be unlocked like SS-Grade 2 & Grade 3. What it is, was Goku & Gohan fully mastering the Super Saiyan form via training, in order to condition and acclimate their bodies so that they could maintain the transformation with no strain or taxation on their stamina or power whatsoever. Without the training that Goku underwent in the Room of Spirit & Time, he wouldn't have been able to attain this mastery of the Super Saiyan transformation; it isn't another "form" that he could just power up into. Thusly, he would have had to combat Cell utilizing SS-Grade 2 or 3.
A good comment to make on Goten and Trunks in the next what if would be an inherent tag team affinity. literally have someone say "they're fighting is completely in synch, almost as if they're one person"
i am rather liking this what if story telling here. Alot of it is making a lot of sense. Some here and there flaws but nothing that you can ignore a bit. I do like that it turns Vegeta into a more team work person than an arrogant person he was in the original story. Though i kind of think thats not his style of getting help from anyone. I think he would have figured it out on his own but i guess he had no choice but to have Goku show him otherwise. It does make it so Goku and Vegeta become best buddies lol
Here's a suggestion. What if mr Satan brought videl to the cell games thinking she'd be entertained (and this leads to videl seeing the z-fighters power and gohan much sooner)
Imagine the actual dragon ball team gets an ear on this and decides to commission his idea(s) to make a miniseries in manga form with all of these what if scenarios lol
The morally sane self in me says the pros are that more people are saved in this possibility; the lover of fights self in me says the cons are that we never see the main villains at their full potential to give epic battles. You have to sacrifice one thing to benefit the human race.
I would've had Trunks get so mad when Cell starting strangling him, that he'd get visions of cell and his androids running wild and he goes SSJ2 and, like, destroys Cell's tail just by powering up
In this whole story, Goku just throws his enemies around like ragdolls and finishes his enemies early on, removing characters\forms from the story. Basically just a clusterf*ck.
To my mind, Gohan being close to Goku's power would be bad for everyone... Assuming the tournament plays out the same, and the two henchman sap Gohan's power for Buu as they did originally, that'd likely fill Buu completely, awakening him when they do. Of course, the upside is that we'll have full power Goku, Vegeta and Gohan to fight Buu.
I would like to see Goten and trunks stay in the time chamber for a couple days while the Goku and Vegeta fight buu until he beces angered enough to become super buu and then later kid buu after saving videl's father,Satan, Tien, Android 16, and krillin from super buu absorbtion. As they fight, Gohan waits outside training to defeat buu. Then emerges two more powerful saiyins, whom with ssj2 and potential to go ssj3, are as powerful as Gohan at ssj2. All the saiyins lead kid buu to the world of the supreme Kai while using potara to fuse for vegito and Truken. Whilefat buu and Hercule distract and fight him, the saiyins power up to their ultimate Gohan, ssj2 Vegito, and ssj2 Truken will then, instead of Goku using the spirit bomb, use a Family Final Kamehameha. Following after, Vegito And Truken defuse and everyone celebrates the support of Hercule and fat buu with Goku still requesting buu's rebirth as uub. Later, after 10years, Goku and Vegeta, after training on Supreme Kai's world, are met by Beerus with whom Vegeta only knows all too well. They are struck with the words super saiyin god and decided to use their now Ssj4 forms to figure out if that's the form. (Now as to why Ssj4 is a thing, it was indeed the elder supreme Kai who told Goku about the form in GT, yes ik it's not Canon, but the possibility is still there.) In response, Beerus says the form looks quite different than what he saw, so they perform potara fusion in their normal state then power up to Ssj4 which seems like a normal saiyin except with black fur on his arms and upper body. Their hair is more like Goku's ssj4 form, but their body is like Vegeta. The fight insues and while still only using half strength, Vegito is going toe to toe with Beerus at 70%. Vegeto decides to go all out and the power of 100%power Vegeto and a 90% Beerus is shaking the universe violently. Who's informs Beerus that the fight is causing much unnecessary destruction and then Beerus congratulates Vegeto for being the strongest mortal he's fought in years. The rest of the story will go per normal as Goku's body isn't as tough as Vegeta's so Vegeta would take Goku back down to Earth and everyone would celebrate with Goku and Vegeta's bond becoming stronger like Goten and trunks.
I want a "what if everyone learned useful techniques?" Video. Say king kaio taught yamcha, tien, choutzu (still can't spell it) and piccolo kaioken and spirit bomb. Then after Goku learned IT he taught it to everyone when he came back to earth.
