As a Mexican, another way that Mexico could won the US-Mexican war is not placing all their troops on the Texas border as this made that other soldiers on the US could take California Norte and other states of the Mexican empire, instead, the US still had borders with Mexico that where also not very good protected, Mexico could of make most of its best troops attack from there, then US troops close to the place Mexico invaded will go there, allowing other Mexican troops that where battling/ preparing for a surprise attack to attack those US troops can already start invading the US borders and those US borders will go again to their original place and then many Mexican troops will atTack them, securing an Mexican annexation to Washington and other North US states and later prepare all other troops to be securing the Mexican capital and finally annexing Texas back, making the US surrender and Mexico winning probably all northern US states and maybe some other states on the north of Texas.

I find it quite difficult for the United States to do as badly as you say, although I do not doubt that Mexico would seek to disable it enough so that it is not such a big threat. They (the northern part specifically) already had a fairly good industry, their own manufacturing factories. all types of military agriculture, so I see them achieving stability like Canada without much problem, as for the southern states, there would be quite a few problems if they did not change their laws.

Also speaking of Mexico and South America my mother has got her heart set on going there maybe in two or three years from now and I'm looking forward to it as well. Dang, if Mexico did hold those territories at 1. It would not be a mess, but that means the United States will no longer be how it is today. Although then again, some of the key factor that United States if lost all those territories that mean they weren't having bad things are joining war one but that means Mexico didn't own debt to French then and All the history all changed Demi's will war 2 never happen if Germany won if the United States didn't join in. Although Spanish would be more widely spoken, it would not reach the levels that English has in our timeline, since the reason why English has the influence it has in the world today is due more than anything to the influence of The United States after the Second World War, specifically the Cold War, since thanks to the fact that Great Britain and its associated states had a first-world quality of life, it helped a lot in this case if the other Spanish-speaking countries did not have a better quality of life than the Our reality would only be exponentially more spoken but it would not be comparable to the English of our universe. We would have to have Spain with an economy like that of France and Argentina that functions like a Hispanic Canada so that there would be more opportunities to put Spanish on a higher level. above.
It is a very good video and a good alternative history essay. very complete but I think you don't fully understand latin thought, latinos are passionate, very tied to family and tradition, innovation exists but it is slower, in most latin countries the ruling parties govern whether right or left, they are all conservative. in reality mexico already ruled the world once, only it was not called that, it was called new spain. the latin world is very different from the anglo-saxon world culturally and although i deeply regret that the united states and mexico superpower cannot exist together in the same sentence, i believe in a world where we can all coexist and probably mexico if it were a superpower would not choose to intervene directly unless it would put some latin people at risk. and agein Buen video hermano
I like it but one kinda obvious problem at the end is that Japan likely doesn’t become a superpower in this timeline because I’m assuming the US isn’t doing much pacific gunboat diplomacy in this timeline
I really like this scenaro, it was fun to watch and interesting. But it was just US-Mexico swapped places withI think was not possible. Yeah, with better leadership, better organised army and goid reforms Mexico could become a major power and hold their territory but it would never be as strong as our America. The only reason is: geography. High mountains and endless deserts are also in USA but they also have a lot of flag, green fields with are way better than rain forests in cebtral america. @@wildviper being a a culturally hispanic country México would follow a strategy similar to spain's The Iturbide's first empire was the biggest oportunity and following a protectionist and interventionist system to encourage the growing of the Mexican Economy, also Iturbide's should be a little paranoic, maybe scared of a spanish try to reconquer that would make him build a big army with copies of frech, british or german Guns with that the empire should be strong enogh to defeat the centralamerican, Yucatanian, Texan and other secesionist movements. @@wildviperIf you could can you explain how Canada could own Alaska? it was originally owned by Russia and they sold it to America to off set their greatest rival, Great Britain so it wouldn't be likely they sold it to Britain and more likely for it to become its own independent country after Russia's collapse in WWII.
While it's easy, I have mixed feelings about the real world parallels made in this scenario. I think Canada deserves a more important role considering a weaker America to Mexico's North and a new border with Mexico in the west. Furthermore, I think its very weird that mormons dont get a mention as a religious group. While Mexico in this timeline seems to control timeline, the reason the Mormons went to Utah was to escape American persecution. With a weaker America, the mormons actually have a chance at their own nation. It could mske sense for a Mormon nation to establish itself in Missouri. Maybe they might even get Mexican protection too considering the presence of Oklahoma under Mexican protection. And Oklahoma, more couldve been done with that. Oklahoma being defined as a indigenous protectorate of Mexico would be no small matter. It would mean indigenous culture would make up a lot more of the image one would see when they think of "North America". And then Mexico itself and it's indigenous roots. An indigenous American world power would surely put all indigenous and non-Europeam culture in a better light. In our world, many people blame the lower development of countries outsude Europe and south of the United States to be because of either culture or genetics. Such racist theories would sturggle a bit more in this alternate timeline. If Mexico managed to get ahold of New Orleans, it might make more sense for Mexico to put effort into keeping it, because of the importance of the Mississippi river. Finally, I'll finish iff with the fact that I would've liked to see a hypothetical map of this Mexico's states with slightly more detail, demographics and such. I do not think we would see a total assimilation of new Mexican lands. Like I think Hawaii while speaking Spanish would still have a similar or greater bit of its own culture living on as in our world. Couldve been interesting to hear about what happens to Spanish territories like the phillipenes. But overall, still a good video.
