Shane would never join the Saviors. Shane was not a bad man, most of the Saviors were very bad men. Shane would have hated the way the Saviors murdered men and women in front of their families and children. He also would never loot, extort and pillage settlements, he would’ve probably protected settlements.
I can almost imagine him trying to convince Carl to join, kinda like a “I can protect you better” thing. Ooh! And him finding Judith! Maybe just me though lol
Yes, Shane had a hunger for power. However, I don't believe his psychopathy would drive him to the extent of ordering someone to kill women and children in front of their families. While Shane did engage in questionable actions, he still maintained certain standards. He might condone looting, raiding, and even resort to violence against those who threaten the group, but he wouldn't harm women and children, even if they made a mistake.
@@cafl9844 he would, Negan is stronger than rick, and rick is stronger than Shane, so if Negan is stronger than rick, then I’d doubt Shane would have a chance.
@@Esteban_b1 Rick hasn't in the least the strong body Shane has ! Shane in real life would he far stronger than Rick ! Shane is far more muscular than Rick and Negan together.
People seem to forget the fact that most of the first few seasons of the show take place in Georgia. By the time they make it to Alexandria they are just on the outskirts of D.C. That is a long trip on foot and Rick and the gang only got the idea to go that way because of Eugene. To assume someone like Shane or The Governor meeting Negan and the Saviors is one hell of a big WHAT IF?
@@zeleeba8774 Hence why this is a "What if" scenario. Without Rick's intervention, it's plausible the Saviors would have continued to grow. After enough expansion, I'm sure The Saviors would encounter the Governor's people at some point in time.
Yeah Woodbury doesn't really stand a chance and would just be forced to work with Negan, the only way Governor can get out of this is if he becomes a fulltime savior(Sort of like Daryl or Eugene) and infiltrate the saviors which considering how easy it was to completely take over Martinez's group he could probably do it to Negan
@StockImageOfaRat If the Governor encountered Negan after Woodbury's fall when he was solo for awhile then I can see him joining the Saviors and trying to weasel his way into leadership. But I doubt Negan would be that dense as to fall for it. I'm sure he'd have eyes trained on the Governor. Pretty much everyone but Dwight from the get-go was fiercely loyal to Negan out of fear. I don't know about you but the Governor leading a group as big and powerful as the Saviors is scary. Specially with how unhinged the dude is. Him and Simon would probably see eye to eye though. They're both willing to slaughter entire groups given the circumstances. But I rather work under Negan than the Governor any day. With Negan, he has a defined set of rules to where as long as you follow them, you're good. The Governor however, he's unpredictable. He'll be shaking your hand one moment then stab you in the back the next.
That kind of happened in comics. When rick was sleeping in his room a boy came and shot him three times in chest.Rick died on spot. When carl came in the morning he saw his dad who was turned into a walker.Without second thought he shot him in head and when he realized it was his father he completely breakdown and regretted it.
At the time of the farm, they were too far away to have just run into the Saviors, although if Shane was alive, he could have ran into another group out there.
If this happened there could’ve been a place for Shane back on the group. With Lori gone and Carl dying, I don’t see what issues Shane would’ve came across with the group. Even though the group didn’t like Shane it was his own fixation to leave.
Nah. Negan is too much like Rick. He's very merciful too. Eventually he would've made calls that Shane would disagree with and they would have a falling out as well.
Yeah shane would still want to wipe out at least the trash people and probably hilltop too. Whilst simon was just plain out psychopathic, the apocalypse made shane about as psychotic as simon.
What if Merle Dixon left in season 1 like he did and came back in season 7 as Negan's right hand man. Now that would be one hell of a comeback, and the plot would be much more interesting.
Shane would probably also try and take over Negans spot. That or he'd be even more impacted by Carls death and last wish than Negan was and betray him.

If Shane joined the saviours the show runners should have reference Jon bernthals role as the punisher from daredevil season two and punisher season 1 and season two if Shane was alive by just putting a skull on Shane’s clothing as a reference or his armor/his uniform would be similar to his costume in the punisher Netflix show
I feel as if carl would probably kill him, like there'd be a whole tender moment between the two of them after ricks death then there's just a gunshot and it pans down to show that Carl had blown his brains out.
I have a feeling we would experience the whisperer head fence type thing much sooner, losing many main members and Rick left alone to fight Rambo style.
All that would have happened beside the ending. Instead of Eugene it would have been Shane who screwed Negan at the end of the war. Mainly because of Carl's death and what he wanted. He would have definitely wrote Shane a letter and Rick would have read it to him like he did with Negan.
It's a cool idea but imo I think its kinda virtually impossible. Given the fact the prison was even just like roughly 500 miles away from the sanctuary. Shane is tough but If he was alone I really kinda doubt he'd travel a few states just scavenging.
Rick at his weakest beat Shane, Rick would destroy Shane at his strongest. Shane peaked ability wise very early in the apocalypse especially when his sanity started to go. People like Rick, Daryl and Carol are slow burn, and absolutely built different.
@BingeRampage what if Andrea and Shane left the group as planned? Also what if Merle and Shane were in the lineup? Lastly, what if the governor took Rick's offer 🤔
I think Shane would tell negan that ricks baby is his and negan would let Shane take Judith for her to live in the sanctuary which would prompt an immediate attack by ricks group and would probably result in both negan and Shane being killed by rick.
That's how u know a character has so much impact when they've been alive in just two seasons. Hell there's what if Shane joined Rick's group against the fight towards Negan, Governor and other villains. What if Shane got over Lori. What if he never let his obsession consume him. Man Shane was so ahead of his time compared to the survivors, especially Rick. He was Rick by season 5 by the second season
They wouldn’t have killed off Rick they prob would have made Shane get a different death or Shane would have reunited with Carl and put his hated for Rick aside for Carl and help them with the war which leads to Carl never dying
Day ten of asking what if all the groups like Ricks group the governors group the saviors the whisperers and the commonwealth joined forces instead of fighting
Considering that Shane nearly killed ed for being a wife beater and considering that the saviors contain tons of bad people, I think Shane would've left the saviors if he had joined hell he might've gotten killed for pulling an ed and beating down on a savior like the Croat.
simon wouldnt stage a coup, because the reason he did that was because negan failed to win the war. With shane in command, the war would easily be won by negan, thus rendering the whole staging coup idea useless.
Winning the war would have happened, they still would've lost to ricks group because Eugene still made false bullets and put them in the chamber, still would've hurt everybody and Shane would've been the first to die by Rick.
Shane's "insanity" came from Rick Lori and Carl. Nobody else. He isn't a bad man, Shane probably would've never supported negan and everything the saviors did
What if that little group Randall was with in season 2 was like an early version of the savior's just a theory and I don't know all the lore Season 8 Episode 1
