If sonic was truly serious, he would have MADE SURE eggman was DEAD from the egg carrier falling from space. After seeing that eggman will keep making more and more sonic robots, he should have made sure eggman was dead. After the 3rd time, I would make sure eggman was dead. A serious person could only give so many chances. A truly serious person wouldn't give any chances, let alone multiple chances.

@chasetanner4822 Past a certain point he wasn't. This most recent example, Chaos sent eggman blasting away. Just like in SA1, this was out of Sonic's hands

@@TheRealMightyEmperor By the time of sonic adventure, sonic has defeated and spared eggman 3 TIMES. (Sonic 1, sonic CD and sonic 2) The 1st time I understand, the 2nd time I understand but the 3rd time I DON'T understand. The reason sonic questioned if he should check if eggman was alive or not after sonic 2 was because he was aware of the saying "3rd times the charm". Meaning by the 3rd time something has happened, you need to do something different to stop a 4th time from happening. I think would should have happened after defeating the golden metal sonic, is super sonic decides to check EVERYWHERE on the crashed ship to find eggman or his body to CONFIRM if he is dead or not, and if he is not, kill him and leave.
