I imagine that to the Lord Paramounts (and Ladies) and their Heirs that the burning of the two Starks scared the shit out them. Because everyone knew Aerys was going mad, that he’d being burning people but they’d (possibly) assumed that their titles protected them from such a fate. The Starks deaths proved that your title would not protect you from being burnt alive, that Aerys did not care about that anymore. And really the Starks have been known since Aegon the Conqueror that all Starks keep their oaths, that they are loyal and honourable. For Aerys to use wildfire on a Stark of all people, that would’ve freaked them out because they’ve definitely committed worse crimes. It’s probably why the Rebellion gained so much traction, why so many went, ‘Yup, this crazy mf got to go and his useless no-show son.’

Glad tae see you back! I love your Game of Thrones what ifs. One thing I'd disagree with you with is when you said Tywin would be mad at the Starks if Jamie was killed as the Mad King's champion. I think he'd rage at the Mad King, as Jamie died in his service. I don't think hed have any love for the Starks, but I doubt hed seek revenge on them.

The fact the starks felt so bold to say what he said as a demand...he did not only ask for lyanna back he want rhaegar dead....the king was really touchy about his heir to his throne and he only had two...the situation was going to escalate regardless because the starks did not approach tbis correctly and seek lyanna to find out what happened before demanding any sort of justice from the king against his own family

I'm curious what if Arya was alive in Harrenhall when Robb's army came. I think a few things would change, since Arya had spent so much time with Tywin she could give some solid advice and maybe (in my arya fangirl head) she could've predicted some of his moves. Also the starks would realize the lannisters only had sansa, which would change some things in the war I think

Idk if you've done this one already, but what if Tyrion *had* put that son in Sansa? (Not by rape, ofc) How would that affect her fleeing from KL, being able to be married to the Boltons, Rickon's need to die for being a threat to Ramsay's rule, Jon being declared king, etc. Would she give her son the Lannister name? The Mad King wouldn't let the Starks leave either way. Their deaths would be the only result that would satisfy him. Please do a video about the consequences of Jaime dying in a trial of combat. There's so much that gets thrown out the window by his death. Tywin would have to remarry for more kids or attempt shaping Tyrion for lordship (unlikely, but still interesting to speculate). King's Landing potentially fried by Aerys eventually. The rebellion could be so different. Would Rhaella live? If Tywin was on Aerys' side (unlikely but dominoe effect if he was), do you think Cersei would be made queen after Lyanna dies in childbirth? Would Elia and her kids be slain on Dragonstone if Aerys didn't take them prisoner in King's Landing? So many questions.

I generally don’t like “what if” videos because they feel too much like fan fiction for me but I’ve watched a few of yours and they very creative.

What if Rhaegar rebelled against Aerys, there was a rumor that Rhaegar staged the tourney at Harrenhal to get a bunch of lords together to see who would support him, he also told Barristan that he would make some reforms after the Trident if they won once he claimed the throne. So what if Rhaegar joined Robert's troops after telling them what happened.

I always wondered "What if Littlefinger was killed in his duel against Brandon?" ie. What would the realm look like without Littlefinger's interference?

Brandon broke into the Red Keep (the King's home), had a host of armed hostile men, then yelled out while acting like some mad dog with rabies and yelling for Rhaegar, his Prince, who is also the son of his (Brandon's) King who has a history of of heart breaks from people killing his children as well as children not surviving to live after a year of life, then says for the King's son to cone out a die, basically telling the King, in the King's own home where Brandon stormed into without permission therefore broke into, to die, with ZERO reason as he's told nothing to the King, at all.

Jaime would have been the perfect choice because he was just a hostage anyway. Selmy was too valuable for a trial by combat. If the Stark survived, the North and the Eyrie would have had to contend with Tywin Lannister, and if Jaime Lannister lived, it would have pitted the Stark/Tully/Arryn/Baratheon (STAB) alliance against the Westerlands. Win-win for Mad King Aerys.

I think Prince Lewin would have fight and lost to Rickard, isolating the Martell even more. Aerys mistrust the Martell so he would want to take a chance to prove his loyalty/humiliate him. Also it would have let Elia completely without protection. But I agree with you, this would probably wouldn't have change a lot

Why did the Mad King demand Robert's head? I get wanting Ned's (the son of the Lord he just had killed, and the brother of the *next* Lord - also dead), who would naturally desire vengeance and would be the next Lord of Winterfell...but why Robert? Because he guessed how he'd feel about Rhaegar? And it's odd that Jaime was the *only* Kingsguard in Kings Landing during this period.

What if Brandon snaps the cord around his neck all kung fu style, rolls forward and hurls the sword at one of the bindings releasing his father. I think it would have made so much sense for the Mad King would have made Jamie fight easily. As much as Bariston was the smart choice, the Mad King was mad. I think it would have changed the rebellion entirely and become almost a Lannister versus everyone war but starting more as political.
