So none of that actually prevents them from collapsing at all. Sure, it was partially because the Spanish arrived and led a coalition against them but that coalition against them was always gonna happen eventually anyway, even if it had to be led by other natives.

The joke is in reference to the fact that European illnesses killed 10s of millions of Aztec people. Though yes I think most people attribute those illnesses for the end of the Aztec Empire when it had already ended through warfare before the worst of the epidemics.

It is logical that the BeNeLux is part of this united France and Germany. The Netherlands gained independance from france after the Napoleonic wars, becouse the British felt there needed to be a buffer state between France and Germany to prevent further waring. That buffer state was the Netherlands and back then also included Belgium and Luxemburg.

5:56 as a former South Aussie, this map is so triggering. Even if the inland sea was to change the climate inland significantly, Brisbane wouldn't exist where RL Streaky Bay is, Macquarie would be a bit south at the RL location of Wallaroo rather than Port Broughton, and moving Adelaide north to where Port Wakefield is... nah, wouldn't work, the RL location of Adelaide is much better. Also, unless this world had a tributary river to the inland sea going through it, Hawkesbury wouldn't work either, unless it is for like its RL counterpart Broken Hill just for mines
