Best case scenario: Maul loses some limbs, is taken prisoner, and Qui-Gon trains Anakin. Worst case scenario: Maul escapes after losing an arm, Qui-Gon trains Anakin, and Maul completes his sith training under Sidious. Most likely scenario: Maul is super dead, and Qui-Gon trains Anakin.

Yoda would be the taller of the two after the fight was over! 😂😂😂

In battlefront 2 there is a line where Yoda says "Dealing Maul I can, deafeat him... Perhaps."

It's actually hilarious to think it would even be "a fight" PALPATINE was afraid of Yoda when it came to lightsaber combat and Palpatine easily took down maul and savage at the same time

I'm not really sure why anyone would be asking this question: It's a complete stomp on every level possible. Anyone comparing Qui-Gon vs Maul to a hypothetical Yoda vs Maul is completely missing the frankly obscene gulf of power that exists between Qui-Gon and Yoda. I mean not to be too hard on Qui-Gon, the man wasn't a joke, but he was a bit past his prime and his physique hindered his style terribly. He was a larger man (more than three times Yoda's height and probably more than seven times his weight) trying to do Ataru flips and spins without the help of Yoda's extreme force power to make up for the physical demands it placed on his body. While it's true that the enclosed space/narrow platforms didn't help Qui-Gon's Ataru usage any, Yoda's much smaller stature makes even that kind of limitation less pressing for him. Also I don't think Maul's double bladed saber really helps him here at all. Vs a big man like Qui-Gon? No prob, he can make it work for him. Vs Yoda who is literally two feet tall and likely crouching at that? Um, not so much. A single saber would probably handle that massive height difference better. Being able to use your reach advantage to swipe or stab at Yoda is really all the opening most people have vs him. Now consider how Maul needs to move to swing his much more cumbersome saber (while a staff is a very versatile weapon, making two thirds of it burning plasma on either end really cuts down on what you can do with it), whether it be horizontal sweeps across his torso (which he would need to lean down heavily to even threaten Yoda with, putting him off balance and with his head/chest leaned toward Yoda) or cross slashes up or down his body (most of the length of said slashes would be way too high to threaten Yoda), either way his swings would have none of the reach a single saber would have. And let's not even talk about trying to spin all the way around or similar acrobatics vs a fighter like Yoda... If anything Maul would need to step in further than usual to even reach his small target and at that point he might as well just not even bother. Even Maul's other specialty, hand to hand combat expertise, which served him well in his fight vs Qui-Gon and Obi, would be almost entirely negated by Yoda's small size. Good luck trying to kick down at a spinning ball of lightsaber death. Qui-Gon had six feet of body to cover with his blade, giving Maul plenty of space to slip in kicks around saber blocks. With Yoda, dispute being a shoto, the blade is frankly as big or bigger than he is. Maul is essentially trying to put his foot directly into Yoda's blade (and can you even picture the body movement it would take to kick down at Yoda while trying to do anything with a saber?). It isn't happening. And this is all assuming Maul even gets to fight. Yoda is more powerful then him by enough that he might just take the saber from Maul's hands (as he did vs Ventress) or grab/pin Maul down with the force (as Sidious does to Maul in their "fight"). We know Maul is vulnerable to that and we've seen Sidious do it (as this video highlights). Heck, since Yoda would love to question him about the Sith, this seems like the most logical outcome and frankly there is very little Maul can do about it.

That one time out of ten maul makes yoda use 25%of his effort.

He’d loose more than his lower half. Yoda would probably remove his head. And there are still people out there that think Maul can stand a chance against him.

There would be no Darth Vader, as Qui-Gonn would’ve been alive and help Anakin to not follow the path of the dark side

Yoda would lose that 1/10 times if he was trying to protect someone innocent from Maul during the fight, say... younglings? (of course) Maul would simultaneously attack the younglings with the force and his lightsaber and get the upper hand on them, obviously. Maybe a la Sidious in Yoda's vision in the clone wars tv show, where yoda has to save anakin from falling to his death or be shocked by palps and he chooses to save Anakin? Yoda would have to try and save the younglings and maul would then go in for the kill while he was distracted.

Sidious would use his ability to mask the presence of an individual on darth maul. Maul would sneak in while Yoda was meditating and behead him before he could react

So basically, everyone Obi Wan cuts in half gets to survive because they're just so "pissed off." Lame.

Keep in mind, in ep 1, the council kept a master and an apprentice on the protection detail because they still didn't quite believe Maul was a Sith. It isn't until after the conflict that Windu and Yoda acknowledge the Siths return.

Hey, just a suggestion: Have Star Wars Battlefront II (old or new doesn't matter) gameplay on the background of these fantasy battle videos, would be cool.

I think if yoda didnt use the force in this fight, it would be close considering that dooku dueled yoda for a short time and Maul is stronger than dooku, I think the best battle would be Mace windu vs Yoda

Great vid! I think you’re right that Yoda would really be unbeatable in this matchup. The only scenario I could see Yoda falling in is if he were put in a position of having to protect others while in the battle. Otherwise, Yoda FTW!

Timelines aside, these would be cool duels Mace Windu vs Maul - you already mentioned Starkiller vs Maul Starkiller vs Mace Count Dooku vs Maul

That 1/10 time would be where Maul becomes smart enough to throw his Saber as to where Yoda can’t do shot unless he quickly uses the force as he is as you said 3 foot

Then A) we would have missed out on one of the greatest duels in all of Star Wars (Kenobi and Jinn vs Maul) B) Maul would have never returned in the Clone Wars, if you know what I mean.

I love my man Maul but his ass would get stomped. Yoda was nearly Palpatines equal.

What if in “Son of Dathomir” comic. When Maul captures Dooku & Sidious he beheaded them both right in front of Sidious and then the tides of the war would change..

I think if things were different, Maul would've made a really good Jedi, even attaining the rank of master.

1/10 time is when Maul reveals how bad Yoda’s tax evasion is. In shock of just how much that is, Yoda is caught off guard long enough for Maul to strike that killing blow.

Well since you did a video of how Maul feared Yoda, I do not think this is much of a fight. Maul compared Yoda's power to Sidious. So battle over. LOL

Only time maul wins is if he takes Yoda's Stick...

This duel would last about as long as the one in Rebels between Maul and Obi Wan. Yoda would win this match in seconds. I think the 9 times out of 10 should be upgraded to 999 times out of 1000.

A lot of people don't want to realize that Obi-Wan won both of his greatest battles by being wiser than his opponent, not more powerful. Both Maul and Anakin were arrogant and reckless. They were also more powerful than Obi-Wan when they fought, but he won anyway. Maul was far more powerful than the vast majority of Jedi. Anakin was the most powerful force-user outside of Yoda and Sidious and was clearly on track to be the greatest ever. Lucas did this intentionally.

They should make a Star Wars What If series of duels between characters we never got to see fight in the movies. For example: Yoda vs Darth Vader (could go either way imo) Luke vs Maul Maul vs Anakin Mace Windu vs Darth Vader Dooku vs Luke Dooku vs Maul There's so many possibilities it's almost impossible to pick which ones I want to see.

When Maul gets the High Ground!

Yoda could probably use the force to keep mauls light saber from even opening. If not that then for sure just pull it to him and say “much to learn, you have”

Slim chance Maul beats Yoda quick story: Maul trained all his life for this, his master, Sidious, knew one Jedi was more vital than all the others, and if his apprentice could best the Grand Master, then the Zebrak would be unstoppable. Mauls training had comprised of torture, broken bones on which he had to scale mountains, forced to fight using the Force to hold shattered wrists and hands together, years of brutality to make Maul an apex warrior. in the years leading up to his Fateful battle, Maul would be sent into the far reaches of the Galaxy to find Jedi Exiles, to kill them. Now here he was, the Darth of Dathomir, and here came his prey. The door before him opened, Yoda sent his Jedi companions and the Naboo away. the green alien stayed, igniting his saber. Maul would not even react, merely pulling back his hood. Yoda would say "Hiding behind a menacing facade, painted in nightmare, your face was." Maul would merely ignite his saber. The battle would be as long as in the original time line, flowing between brief bouts of Force Power, followed by furious swordsmanship. Yoda would be shocked time after time as he threw Maul into walls, pillars and even through solid metal doors, the Sith would only stand up, wipe away the blood from his chin, and resume the battle. Unknown to Yoda almost every bone in Maul's body was shattered by the time they would reach the final scene of the fight. The crimson shield would give both a chance to meditate and collect themselves. Maul would use this time to heal his greatest wounds, mending veins and arteries, forcing bones back together and back into socket. As the shield door opened, with his final exhale Maul would channel the Rage ability. This was his purpose. This was his mission. For all the crimes the Jedi had committed and would commit, Maul would have his revenge. To Yoda he would become a black and red blurr, whirling around him as they fought, blow after block Yoda was forced deep into the offensive, a fractional miscalculation and Maul had severed the very tip of the Jedi's ear. Yoda would push Maul back, throwing him down the shaft. Maul however caught the edge, and flung himself back up. Fighting like he did against Obi-Wan, Yoda would sever the blade in two, kicking off Maul and sending him reeling. Maul fought back all the harder, but finally, Yoda would land a blow to his leg, severing the limb as Maul fell, the next his blade hand, the final a slash through Maul's chest. Yoda would begin to lecture Maul, denouncing the Sith and their foolish pride, telling Maul that he let distraction take him too easily. Yoda would be cut off, as Maul had used his left hand to grasp him about the neck, using the Force to draw his Saber through the Jedi's heart. The master had been caught off guard, and Maul had bested the Grand Master.

Mace would find Darth Maul defeat him with the high ground ask where and who is Darth sideous. Darth Maul would say chancellor palpatine and sheev would get thrown out the windu by mace.

Maul is probably the more cooler Sith out there but I think he'd underestimate Yoda by his size, probably get a bit dismissive about it. If...I was evil I'd probably roll my eyes.

Look I love Darth Maul but without watching a single second of this video he would get savaged by Yoda.

Maul has no chance against Yoda. Sidious and Yoda was on par. Maul was using every ounce of his learned skill and power to try to beat Sidious with the help or at least distraction of his brother on Sidious. Sidious was most definitely toying with him and could have killed him soon as he held him against the glass on his entrance.

I think Yoda wouldn't have killed him. He'd see a young, angry, inexperienced Sith and would knock him out. Maybe setting him on a path of redemption.
