I did it as a warfarer I had both daggers and a magic bow as well as a thief in my party, as long as all its weak spots have been taken out before it reaches the island camp you'll get the achievement
You might mess up endgame? anyway i did it first try and got achievement by using a mage on the legs/waist/chest and melee pawns doing Waist/chest/head. hope you do a follow up vid of the unmoored world, curious to see if you can still do the quest after that?
My experience is that petrifying the statue means you don't get the quest with it in the Unmoored World. But you can still defeat the pillar bosses the normal way, so it doesn't break anything long-term, just prevents that quest from triggering.
I was actually really disappointed with this fight because if you have the magic archer vocation, it's stupid easy. Like I didn't even try and I got the achievement. Honestly I should have quit without saving, swapped to a melee class to redo the fight because it was a complete joke. This was the first time that I was legitimately disappointed with how much of a push over a boss was.
