Thank the stars there is another in this world with common sense!! I’ve had gender dysphoria from the time I was 4. Some of my earliest memories were that of crying myself to sleep because I wasn’t a boy. When I was 10 i preyed to a god I don’t believe in that I’d wake up a boy.. and when I was 13 I hoped I had some form of cancer that would stop my chest from developing and my period from starting… but guess what?? Despite all that I’m NOT TRANS. I thought I was. Wouldn’t you? With a childhood like that? But something happened in my brain between 18 and 24… I grew more and more comfortable with my body and the way I express myself. No irreversible hormones or surgeries necessary!

There is no right or wrong way of being trans! Everyone has a different experience and I’m glad that you have been able to find comfort in your body!

@@polarwaterprincess If being trans comes in many different forms why are you telling your audience to self evaluate a mental health problem in order to be validated? I don't think you grasp how serious this is. There are people with trauma who are uncomfortable in their bodies who want to feel whole. People think transition is the cure and if they could only be "real men" or "real women" their mental health will be better. What we're doing is affirming mental illness, and harming the body in an attempt to make the patient resemble the other sex. Gender affirming bottom surgery makes you infertile, this is also the case for HRT and puberty blockers, but the risk is lower. A lot of people after the surgery can't function sexually, and complication risks are very high. Many people react to hormones differently, they can conflict with pre-existing health conditions. They can cause weight gain, hair loss, diabetes. These aren't false conclusions, these are people's realities. Even the studies that show the surgery is a success (which it's not, trans people are biologically the sex assigned at birth) how long? What is the suicide rate? What about the long term health problems? People are starting to notice, and hopefully the victims of this treatment will be able to sue.
