John Michael Godier spoke to Dr. Karen Meech, who leads the Astrobiology research team at the University of Hawaii which discovered the first interstellar object, named 'Oumuamua, by the Pan-STARRS 1 telescope. Dr. Meech's team recently led the characterization to determine the size, shape, color and light curve of this first interstellar visitor from afar - 'Oumuamua.
