Paul had a revelation from Jesus about the catching away or rapture. It was only revealed to him before he revealed it to the church. Yes, there is a rapture and I am looking forward to it and always watching.

Bird confuses what the rapture is, with when the rapture takes place. The English word ‘RAPTURE’ is not in the Bible, but “caught up” is, in which the teaching comes from:1 Thess. 4: 16. The “rapture” is the resurrection of alive Christians (i.e. born again believers). It says the “dead in Christ rise first, the we who are alive are caught up with them”, Our bodies will be changed at the resurrection. There are a lot of views of WHEN the rapture takes place, but the “rapture” is just the process of being changed into our glorified bodies. I hope this helps.

I don’t agree. I wonder why this subject is such a point of uncertainty. I think it’s because people hear something for the first time and then stick to that belief. We must not make this a point of separation and contention. I have learned to always leave myself room to be wrong. Jesus is King. Jesus was sent by God to seek and save the lost. He died for me. He was resurrected. He sits at Gods right hand!! Of these things I am certain.

"Zondervan" thank you your view, but have you read Revelations and understood what it says literally, and what that refers to? In Rev 4:1 John is taken up to Heaven ( as bride of Christ will be) it is a "TYPE" of Rapture. From then on the Church is mentioned as being in Heaven Rev 5:9-11 around the throne ( as Kings and Priests of the Most High God). Then the Bride returns with Yeshua Rev 19: 7-9. There is no return of Yeshua to the Earth until Rev 19 as He returns as the King of Kings to rule. That is the second coming of the Messiah to Jews ( The Remnant) and those who will then ( if still alive) have not taken the Mark. There will be resurrection of the Saints ( who lost their heads for not taking the Mark) and also the Two Witnesses will be taken up ( resurrected) and maybe the 144000 too if they are killed; but that will be , I believe, when Jesus returns then. Anyway, that is my understanding of Revelations which is from Yeshua Himself and I think He knows more than me or anyone on Earth. But in truth I have an open heart to listen and wait and watch for His soon return.

I have questions? Mat 13, Mar 4, and Luk 8, all speak of a sower, are all three speaking of the same thing? Are they parallel passages? that say the same things? I think that since Mathew is the first one, that it is the parable of the sower and the other two are something else altogether.

Thank you for taking time to read a point of view not often opened up. The 2. Tim 2.15 is part of the reason the rightly dividing of scripture is so fiercely contested. The KJ bible is generally not accepted, thus the falling away from reading gnostic books not the real bible. Partly as there are few books speaking of rightly dividing using those words. Gods words have been deleted and added to by corrupt teachers. The snatching away as I will relate to this time is not generally used. Paul’s writing says the mystery church not known before Ephesians chap 3. The tribulation is not a period that the body of Christ experiences it is for nation of Israel and apostate churches. The apostles in Paul’s day never knew of the mystery church and in Luke 18.31-34 they not ever knew about this either. In matt, mark and Luke the apostles were still under law until Jesus rose from the dead. It was Paul who shocked them for he said he was the apostle to the gentiles the mystery church body of Christ never hear of before. The gentile and Jew who are saved in Jesus are now one in Christ Jesus. Jesus takes the body of Christ to the marriage supper of the lamb in heaven. When we read about the 2 comings of Jesus it is to the earth feet on the turf. The snatching away are his earthly saints meeting Him in the clouds, not on earth as in visits 1 as a babe and 2 as a waring conqueror as said in Jude. The saints are taken off earth as the angel that flys throughout the heaven on earth Rev 14.6 preaches the everlasting gospel as the 144,000 from the the 12 tribes of Israel. Rev 7 takes over preaching to the nation of Israel to whom they will listen to about Yeshua. So the body of Christ comes back with Jesus as in Jude to earth, and the saved all go into the new 1000 year reign of Yeshua/ Jesus on earth That’s it

The Rapture occurs when Christ comes down to the clouds and raises his bride, the Curch, the body of believers, up to Heaven. This is not to be confused with the second coming when Christ comes to the Earth. The Tribulation is a separate program Jesus has for Israel.

The wording of 2 Thessalonians 1:5-7, when read carefully, shows that Paul expects to attain rest from suffering at the same time and in the same event that he expects the unbelievers to receive punishment, namely, at the revelation of Jesus with mighty angels in flaming fire. This revelation is not the pre-tribulational rapture but the glorious second coming. Which means that Paul did not expect an event at which he and the other believers would be given rest seven years before the glorious appearing of Christ in flaming fire. Vengeance on unbelievers and rest for the persecuted church come on the same day in the same event.

Revelation 16 The 6th bowl is poured out, then Jesus says, "Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches" then the 7th bowl is poured out. ---------- Every Christian knows that watch, and coming as a thief, is a direct reference to the rapture, the resurrection of the saints. If the rapture had happened at any point before the 6th bowl, there would be no need for Jesus to remind us to watch. There are other passages that confirm this timing of the rapture. This is Biblically incorrect. Jesus Himself said, "Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man." Those who are covered in the righteous blood of Jesus Christ will "escape all that is about to happen"... the Tribulation to come. We will not be left here to endure God's unimaginable wrath. There are verses about the pre-trib rapture throughout the old and new testament. It is in line with the hermeneutics of the Bible, correlations between the church ages, and it is told in the original language that the Bible was written in, Greek and Hebrew. If you translate from the original language, the Bible is distinctly clear about a pre-trib rapture. Also, millions of believers and non-believers are having pre-trib rapture dreams and Bible says in the last days people will see visions and dream dreams...

II Thessalonians 2:1 "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him," Paul is now getting to the purpose for this second letter. Paul reminded them of his first letter to them, of Christ returning and our gathering back to Him. Because of the misunderstanding that could be drawn from the first letter, he writes the following. It's important in this final generation that we pay attention for this will happen during our life time. The subject again of this letter is; "our gathering back to Christ". II Thessalonians 2:2 "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is [the Lord is just] at hand." Paul doesn't want you to misunderstand what he is about to say. This is why he makes it plain and simple; Paul told them not to confuse what he is saying here with any other teaching, or spirit, or even that first letter from him. This is because there was a confusing part in the first letter where false teachers had crept in and twisted Paul's words. The prime example of this today is the twisting of that first letter by the "rapture theorist", to form the trap that has been set for Christians in this final generation. Paul is saying, don't let anyone trouble you [confuse you], and tell you that the "day of Christ" is at hand. The "day of Christ [the Lord]" is the day when Jesus Christ will return to earth, and gather His saints to Him. This gathering will happen at the sounding of the seventh trumpet. This is one of those tradition's of men [false doctrines] that can deceive you. II Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come [it will not be], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;" Jesus Christ is not gathering anyone to Him, nor is He coming here to earth, except there be a falling away first. The word for "falling away", in the Greek is "apostasy". Jesus told us in His revelation to John, in Revelation 9:11, that "Apollyon" is one of Satan's names, and this name is derived from the word apostasy. The word "perdition" means "one that perishes". Satan and only Satan has already been condemned to die [to perish] by God. Satan's judgment day has come already back in the first earth age, and he will have no part in the Great White Throne judgment, or any other judgment yet to come. He has already been judged, and sentence by God to death "perdition" [Ezekiel 28 covers this judgment].Ezekiel 13:20 "Wherefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly." Have you ever wondered what God thinks of your fly-away doctrine? Here it is. God said, Behold, wake up, I am against your false doctrines [pillows), wherewith ye hunt the souls to make them fly. Did you get that. God is against it when you go out to teach the souls of men and women and tell they they are going to fly out of here. Those that you have hunted with your whitewashed religion, and told them that they will fly out and not see the time of the end. You have told them not to prepare for the Antichrist, and that the signs of the times of the entire Bible were not important. IT IS A LIE, brother, and God will judge you severely for that lie wake up. Jesus in the parable, from the mount of Olives, in Matthew 24, woe to that woman that is first take Then He commands us, Watch therefore for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come [verse 42). We are to pay attention to the times we are in, there is no excuse to rely on fairy-tales, when we can know the times and signs the fly away doctrine never came into existence until 1830, and then by a mental ill woman, Margaret McDonald. You would think that most people would be intelligent enough that they could see through fairy-tales. Jesus didn't teach it, John, Paul, nor Peter taught it. If you are relying on the Books of Thessalonians, you had better get back to the original text. When you rely on | Thessalonians 4:15 to the end, and rely on that to back up the fly away doctrine, you have missed the entire meaning of the book. For in 4:13 it tells you what Paul is explaining to the Christians at the Thessalonians Church the whole chapter is talking about where are the dead, those who died and are buried in the ground. I Thessalonians 4:13, 'But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep [dead) that ye sorrow not even as others which have no hope" I Thessalonians 4:14; "For if we belleve that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep [die physical death] in Jesus will God bring with him." If you are a Christian, you had better believe that Christ rose from the dead, or you are no better then the heathen that believe that when a person dies they are still out there in a hole in the ground. It is real sad that what is taught through is divination. God told us in Ezekiel 13:17; 'Set thy face against the daughters (suppose to be the bride of Christ] of they people, and prophesy thou against them," are we to keep quiet and let them go unanswered? no For those who think their can be a compromise with them, and becoming as they are, playing with eternal death. Do you really think God meant something else when He made His hatred of this so strong? If you are so bound up in this fly-away doctrine that you can't see past it, then you have the mark of the beast already. That mark of the beast is not a electronic gadget, but what is fixed in your mind, your knowledge, your imaginations, and what you place your eternal soul in. What God is saying is that the Mark of the Beast is this rapture doctrine. Why? If you have been trained to believe that the first "Messiah", and you haven't been trained that the first Messiah is the false Messiah, then you are prepared to receive the first Christ as Jesus Christ. With all the wonders and deceptions Satan will bring with him, you will bow to him immediately. This doctrine of the rapture is taught more in the houses of America, then in any other land, and god doesn't like it.

I have a question for all you people who believe that you won't die, but are going up in the rapture: How many of you have purchased a burial plot for yourself? How many of you have bought your headstone? How many of you have told your family that you want to be cremated?....or buried?....or put in a mausoleum? Some believe that a Rapture rescue before the great tribulation is false because there can only be one “second” coming of Jesus, which happens after the great tribulation. The problem is that neither the word _”Rapture”_ nor the phrase _“Second Coming”_ are in the Bible. They’re just shorthand theological terms whose definitions are debated. If you define the _Rapture_ as the set of events that take place when the Lord comes to the clouds to take his church to heaven before the great tribulation, and the _Second Coming_ as the set of events that take place when the Lord comes back to Jerusalem after the great tribulation to destroy his enemies and setup his Millennium Kingdom, the only problem may be that the labels we choose to use for these events confuse some people. But the real issue is not with our labels but with the specious argument that says our chosen labels determine whether doctrines are true of false.

Yeshua will set his foot down on earth a second time, with his army of saints for the ‘Second Coming’ at the END of the Great Tribulation. During the Rapture, He will NOT touch the ground, but will remain in the CLOUDS to receive his bride/church (2 shall be working in the field...one will be caught up ‘IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE’)! The theory of the rapture doesn’t quite make sense to me. Jesus specifically said in the Bible that because the world hates Him, they will hate us, and that there will be suffering. I don’t really see the point of being taken away from the world for seven years, like, how are those left behind supposed to come to Jesus? How will they get the help and encouragement that many Christians received from other Christians? I suppose they could receive it from God, but I just feel like taking Christians out of the picture isn’t going to do much good for those left behind. Also, in the Bible, I forget the verse, but it says that those who continue to love and have faith until the end will be taken to heaven, or something along those lines. I mean, if the rapture actually does happen then I guess that would be cool, but I don’t think we as Christians should sit back and relax because “we wont be around for the bad stuff” that would happen in the seven years we’re gone. We need to be ready and prepared for when Jesus comes again, so that when we meet Him, He will know us. Just my personal thoughts.

I have always been pretty pessimistic about the Rapture, but, ya know, I do think the church will be "caught up" - now, what exactly does that mean? Again, I'm not sure. Paul's definition of being caught up to the 3rd heaven, what actually happened?

You hav not noted the difference between Tribulation and Wrath . The Greek words Thilipsis and Orge clearly makes this case.Also the Greek word Harpazo means the snatching away as Jesus Himself used maternal labour and obstetrics to show a woman in beginning pain that leads to great pain[contractions} just prior to the birth.In the case of the Rapture the church is snatched away as God cuts the days short.This is then like a Caesarean procedure.There are emphatically other raptures in the Bible.The second coming is when Jesus touches down in Jerusalem.The Church goes through Tribulation but we are not appointed to wrath.Michael have you studied the key Greek words ?

Establish your hearts, for the coming of THE LORD IS AT HAND.” So how LONG does a farmer have to wait for his precious fruit to grow...2000 years? Why would he encourage them, “... not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge IS STANDING AT THE DOOR.” (Ja, 5:9). Aren’t these statements obviously evidence that the believers of the past knew that Yahshua the Messiah would come in the FIRST century and not the 21 century? If so, then the NATURE of His Coming MUST have been His Coming in Judgement during the FIRST CENTURY.

Did the Angel at the Mt. of Olives say all the things Jesus would do between AD33 and now? I believe if you read the scriptures, the angel says that Jesus will set foot on the earth in the same manner in which he was taken intoHeaven. It doesnt preclude the Thessalonians scripture about meeting the dead and alive of the church in the air. The judgemental return of Christ in Revelation is him coming down to establish his throne on Earth, not in the air.

There isn't two parts to the second coming, only one part. The rapture and the second coming are two separate events, one is visible and the other is not.

When Jesus comes the SECOND time He will appear to those who love Him. Hebr 9:28. This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.( Second time.Acts 1:11.) When Jesus comes the second time He will descent from Heaven and we will meet Him in the air.( 1Thes 4:16). When Jesus comes the second time we will be gathering together unto Him.(2 Thes 2:1). When Jesus comes the second time He will come in flaming fire and vengeance to those unbelievers who had fallen away from the truth and then Jesus will be glorified in his saints in that day.(2Thes 1:8,10). Before Jesus comes the second time a falling away from the truth must take place for the antichrist to be revealed.(2Thes 2:3) When Jesus comes the second time He will destroy the antichrist with the brightness of His coming and those who had fallen away from the truth..(2Thes 2:8,10). Nobody is going to disappear (raptured) before Jesus comes the second time.

If this is the case tho, than why would God allow his people to go through so much hell on earth, more than the world has ever known, when he says he would deliver us from the wrath to come and or from to save us from the hour to come! Please someone explain

The "church" is NOT taken up in the rapture. ONLY the overcomers are taken up in the rapture. While salvation nis indeed the free gift of God to all mankind, the rapture is a reward and ALL rewards are earned. The church consists of all saved people. However what most people, who stand behind pulpits where they do not belong, have failed to learn is that while all christians are saved people, not all saved people are christians. Not all saved people bother to actually overcome.

Yes, the day will come when Christ's Church will be changed to spirit beings and rise up to meet Him at His second coming. It's not a question of WILL this event occur, it's WHEN will it occur. What exactly happens when the seventh and final trumpet blast is sounded? It is a time when the dead in Christ, along with those Christians still alive on earth, will undergo an instantaneous change from mortal to immortal and death will be completely swallowed up in victory. It is called the “first resurrection” in Revelation 20:6, and those who are part of it are called “blessed and holy.” They need never worry about death again, but will rule and reign under Christ Himself as He establishes His thousand-year reign on the earth. Please note that those who propound the so-called “rapture” theory do not understand Scripture correctly, sincere in their belief though they may be. The Lord will descend from heaven, and the resurrected saints will be caught up to meet Him in the air, at the seventh and final trump. As can be seen from the story flow of Revelation, this can only occur after all the previously described events ushered in by the first six trumpets have transpired, and is not something that could happen “at any moment” as some mistakenly believe. I believe in Jesus but I don't quite understand and believe in the rapture. It does sound like a horrifying death to die of rapture.

The huge problem with not having the rapture is God is then pouring out his wrath on those who are saved those who are covered by the blood of Jesus and who Jesus paid the price for our sins that would be much like beating the hell out of your own children for their own good… Sometimes you’ve got a turn off our soulish brain just a little and let the Holy Spirit filter what comes in and what comes out. I know it’s hard to unlearn wrong theology that’s why we have the Holy Spirit
