An arthrogram can give your doctor a lot of information about your joint, especially when it’s done in combination with an MRI or CT scan. www.rayusradiology.com/viewpo...
Replying for a recent experience. Just had this done two hours ago. I felt a poke and a sting for no more than two seconds, and that was it. I spent so much time worrying over this and felt like an idiot once it was done lol. The MRI wasn’t exactly comfortable but it wasn’t bad at all. I did not have a history of dislocation, so those that have dislocated their shoulder before could have a different experience when it comes to the “arm over head” imaging. Relax, and don’t sweat it!
I remember having a regular MRI done on my shoulder and they saw no damage. I kept telling them it hurt like crazy. Went to another doctor and he told me to do this Arthrogram. They were able to find a Labral tear after that and I had surgery. Speak up to these doctors if u have to!!
I know your pain. I've unfortunately have had 24 operations on my left shoulder. I have had several arthograms done. I had a failed partial replacement many years back. I now have to get a reverse total replacement
@@ethanbuck1913 got surgery a week ago my shoulder was messed up. This wasn’t bad at all it’s so exaggerated in videos the mri was worse than the injection for me bc im claustrophobic. They numb you it stings for a second then you just feel pressure that’s it.
I went in expecting severe pain. Ended up feeling nothing except a pinch during the first numbing shot on my shoulder. Those people saying it’s very painful are making it seem worse than it is. It’s a non event
I've had 3 in my life and that doctor is saying the full truth. The needle doesn't really hurt going in but once it's muscle and in the joint the it really hurts. Some time's they have to turn the joint while the needle is close to your joint. Just to be able get it in to the joint to but the contrast in.
@@fathimashares my case you can say is a special one. I am at the epileptic so it keeps changing so I get results during the thing but it changes by the time the surgery happens. So they kind of have a rough idea once they go in. But if you get in the MRI they have a very good idea on the other hand if they have a cat-scan it's going to be more of an exploratory surgery. Because it's not a good image for them.
@@davidallen3239 ah okay I have one for my shoulder next month I hope they find a reason as to why I keep getting inflammation and really bad pain, would make my whole life change. Thanks for the reply and may things work out for you!
