Christopher Reeve appearing on Smallville was a highlight. A passing of the torch from one Superman to another. Rosetta transformed the show into something bigger.

When I saw Mr. Reeve in Smallville, I knew right then that I would follow the show until the end (and I did). The man who made us believe a man could fly. ❤❤ If you read this and you have not seen Somewhere in time, it's the best performance of Mr. Christopher Reeve I have ever seen ❤

I was going to say, I would not be surprised if Christopher Reeve did the show for free. Rosetta is one of the episodes I return to when the cares of the world start to close in on me. It always leaves me with a good feeling. Also, it was through the PSA that I ended up with 14 of the "Go Forward" Superman tag sets. I have given 11 of them away. I have written the foundation (and have donated) to see if they could have a second run of the tags. I think 1000 tags would see out in a week.

@@mem1701moviesthat's because Hollywood gave George the last name "Reeves". He was born George Keefer Brewer, which would later be changed to "Bessolo" after his parents divorced and his mother remarried. But even when Chris was alive people called him "Reeves". He would correct them, joking that he put the S on his chest rather than his last name.

Tv shows don’t get a lot of money since they have to make 20, 40 minute episodes. That’s like 6 2 hour movies. It’s also not going to make as much money as a movie either.

I heard that they were planning to reveal Chris' character as having been Jor-El the entire time. But Chris died before they could do that, so the writers decided to have Lionel Luthor murder Dr. Swann offscreen. I can only imagine the reaction to the revelation that Jor was still alive had Chris lived. How they would explain Jor's paralysis, however, I have no clue.

Tom stated when Chris gave his endorsement of Tom playing the role that he made famous. Tom informed Chris that he just portraying Clark Kent. Chris replied, you are Superman. I agree that Tom Welling should have continue as Clark Kent/Superman in movies. I have nothing against Brandon or Henry of playing Man of Steel, but Chris Reeve saw something in Tom's talent as Clark Kent/Superman. By the way, new actor who will play Man of Steel in Gunn's Superman's Legacy...wait and see!

This particular episode is always a core episode it will always be the moment in television history where a mantel of an iconic character was seen to come together though Chris played a very different part it always seems he was just a different version of Clark Kent in the same respects to the character he was playing Professor Swan looked like Clark Kent and in some ways in the comic's this character did resemble Clark to though a bit older. The series and episode was a real cornerstone and it was just great to see the two actors together for fans of Superman this was a fantastic idea worth the time it took to create this opportunity of an excellent series that has become an everlasting legacy. To Chris Reeves, the man was the best Superman ever you sore with the angels forever

Christopher Reeve will always be my tier one Superman. Tom is my tier one Clark but I guess that's easy since he did it for so long. I also like Brandon Routh as Superman and Clark. Wasn't his fault that script and the whole vision of that movie was trash. That Lex Luther stuff was stupid! Also don't discount Terrance Stamp as Jor'El! Tier one Zod! Stamp and Reeve to me will never be reached.

(1) No, he passed away several years ago, not long after making the Smallville appearance mentioned here. He had heart failure, after the strain of being paralyzed for so long. When he died, wheelchair-bound people tended to live only several years after getting paralyzed. Since his foundation has worked so hard on behalf of paralyzed people and to improve the lives of handicapped people, their average lifespan and lifestyle are greatly improved.
