Jeremy Clarkson is getting interviews and the person interviewing him asks what does he think about the new Top Gear #ytshorts #jeremyclarkson #youtubeshorts #viral #topgear
Even when they did there own thing Thing the chemistry is that James and hammond work well on kids shows aswel as many other show they been on As a kid these were and will always be what made top gear awesome you camt replace these 3 well you can but the trio work so well together as a package that they are unsplitable in a way
@@nyftn I wouldn't expect any less to be honest. It's not about the show itself, it's about those 3 guys and their relationships. Without that, the show is nothing.
I’m American so maybe I don’t have the same grasp for it but I’ve watched everyone of the episodes with the Chris, paddy and Fredy and have loved every second of it after the first few episodes when they settled in a little bit. The high level of cinematography def distracts from their performances tho. And Chris Harris an absolute beast behind the wheel
He’s not saying he hates the guys replaced him he says it’s satisfying when the production company says we can replace you but in fact they can’t that is so pleasing
@@LilSebastian_ that's exactly what happend they have yet to break any where near as many viewers as tgt the top gear show was Jeremy's baby it was his life's mission even through all the battles they had with execs and may they still got together to make us happy jeremy James and sir Richard hamster can never be replaced
Kinda like how Fast and Furious turned itself into an action franchise featuring Vin Diesel and The Rock with cars involved rather than the car oriented franchise it once was.
@@Tornado2409 even with cc trying to fuck him over with his statement he made to the British embassy (I forgot exactly who it was) he's still making clarksons farm with the almighty Kaleb and the grand tour
More like ARSE LICKING HE HAD BEEN SUSPENDED FUCK KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES FOR INSULTING ACROSS THE WORLD EVEN INSULTS MAY AND HAMO ABD THEY STILL STOOD BY OR HE GAVE THEM A MASSIVE MASSIVE BROWN ENVELOPE CONTAINING MONEY THAT HAS NOT BEEN DECLARED TO THE TAX MAN THEN AGN HE LIVES ON A TAX FREE IRELAND BUT COST MORE THERE FOR A TIN OF SMOKED SALMON £29.99 THEN HARRODS £8.99
@@gercobosch2870 wrong. Top Gear existed as far back as the late 70s. Clarkson didn't even arrive until 1988. The modern Top Gear revamp might have been his creation, but the original show existed years before he arrived. Even if he was the most popular host of the show in all eras.
@@someonesgottodoitwhat mistake. Wtf you guys on about, in any job in the world. If you assault a member of staff you will get sacked. BBC had zero choices, not like they wanted to ruin a commercially successful show. JC caused this. Yet idiots blame the bbc .
Sacks a man in the face? Why do people pretend like he wasnt fired for attacking and hospitalizing a producer. This wasnt some evil BBC exploits him issue. That was him acting like a reckless crazy guy and the Fans luckily for him didnt care about what he did
Correct me if I'm wrong about this but wasn't Clarkson being mistreated during the filming process of some episode something along the lines of being denied food which tipped him over the edge? I don't really know the full story as I just watch the show not what happens behind the scenes.
@@SERGIO-cr6uygrand tour is nice, not peak top gear nice but like an 8/10 top gear being 10/10, it's just your nostalgia speaking Also Clarckson own show is great, along with May's travelling one (cooking show was kinda meh), idk about the Hammond one(s?) since I haven't watched it and he seems to me the kinda boring one as a standalone
The 3 of them was comedy gold. It's very much like an NBA show on TNT in America. If they were to remove any of the 4 guys it would be dog poo. The one with Shaq
As much of an ass he was, it wasn't just him. It was the synergy in the trio. The small goofy one that tries to prove himself. The calm and collected who you listen to and him being an ass and making people laugh shit ain't never gonna be the same. It wasn't just about the cars
I've actually had this conversation a few times, their personalities were so organic and constant that made for genuine comedy and everyone tries to imitate it but without the consistency and it eventually falls flat
Top gear from 2002 and 2015 (2003 was the year james arrived), was never a show about cars, it was always about a trio of british men being funny and charismatic while talking about cars
@@kmit9191 and that’s how we know that they were successful (aside from the obvious), but even the non-car guys loved and appreciated them. 💪 They were absolute gold all around.
If it wasn't for the occasional stray commercial I wouldn't even know the show was still going because when this trio stepped away the show ended for me and _many_ others
It goes hand in hand with turning a comedy show that used the broadest possible interpretation of "car review" as an excuse to do goofy antics & competitions on the road into an actual car show making useful reviews on cars you could actually buy. You know it was a very special car that nobody 8n the audience could even dream of buying, whenever Jeremy, James or Richard made a proper review providing actually useful insights into the vehicle. Whenever they reviewed a car that could even remotely be called reasonable, they tested the most preposterous things in it, making a parody of car reviews.
@@ebenezer-scrooge why should they have? The show was originally from the 70s. It has had various reboots and hosts. Why do you think they should have ended a profitable show? It’s obviously not worked with the new hosts and it’s been cancelled. But I don’t understand why you think they should have just stopped because Clarkson assaulted a member of staff. Bizarre
@@damedusa5107 im not arguing a point here im just clarifying what the person you are replying to actually meant which was that they didnt disagree with him being fired, just that they tried to continue the show after
Clarkson, Hammond and may were topgear, it wasn't a programme it was the 3 of them, there humour, attitude, knowledge, no car programme will ever be as successful
@@crog9138 The fact that they were able to draw such a large female audience for a car show is proof that the cars were secondary to Top Gear’s success.
That's the thing the BBC couldn't get their heads around, in the early days it was about cars, as it progressed though, people couldn't care about cars, they just wanted to see them 3 mucking about on a Sunday afternoon on BBC 2, didn't matter if they were in cars, trucks, horses (that went well), we watched it for them
The chemistry the three of them had with each other is irreplaceable. They’re all close friends but at the same time they all think the others are complete idiots. They’ll happily turn on each other and laugh at each other but still remain close.
What Jeremy, James and Richard have done for the automotive industry cannot be understated. They’ve done so much for car culture both on TV and now the internet. I truly believe that without them, there wouldn’t be quite so much of a Car RU-vidr boom happening.
Still disappointing to this day that James, Richard and Jeremy aren’t doing classic top gear anymore. They had really figured out how to make an entertaining show
BBC didn't know what they had... How could they have been so out of touch? I remember them saying people watch top gear for the cars not the presenters lol😂 Suck it bbc 😊
It's the truth. James, Jeremy, and Richard all had that special something that made it a great Tv program.. What Top Gear is today is really nothing more than what you can find dozens of on RU-vid.
Vilebrequin in France is recreating the concept on RU-vid and they have been engaged to do France Top Gear. If sometimes you miss the old Top Gear Uk, it may suits you (their RU-vid channel I mean they have not done the top gear episodes yet)
@@allthingsmotorized1885 maybe Oisin Tymon deseverd to be punched by Jeremy 😉 Jeremy, Richard and James could not be replaced without ruinning the show!
The second that the trio left, I never watched an episode of Top Gear again. Everybody followed them to the Grand Tour and made a more popular show. Just shows really 🤣
It is nowhere near as successful, but it is still pretty successful. I’m honestly quite amazed how much money and production the BBC throw at the current TopGear, it’s pretty impressive.
Yes because it was Clarkson and Wilman's formula that gave Top Gear the fame it currently has. That fame is the reason for the budget that keeps them alive today. Note that Top Gear had been there for decades, but they never really took off and stood out amongst other motor shows.
Totally agree. It was a good programme, that much is true, always thought Jeremy was a prick though. Didn't surprise me one bit that he was unable to control his emotions.
The original Top Gear started in 1977, was conceived by producer Derek Smith and the original hosts were Angela Rippon and Tom Coyne. Clarkson didn't become a regular host until the late 80s, May wasn't involved until the 90s..."The Boys" hosted it the longest but it was never really THEIR show..
BBC let go of Top Gear around 2000s. When Clarkson and Willman came back to BBC with the show, it was their show. To prove it was theirs, they sold the rights to the show and that's why The Grand Tour couldn't have Stig (or any other masked driver), couldn't say or do certain things - because it was all in the copyright along with the name Top Gear. It's disingenuous to say it was not their show when they have formed and created it over all those years. The name wasn't theirs, the show was. The reason why BBC tried to continue with the show was because they spent a lot of money to get the rights to it. When the trio (and Willman) left, they thought that all they have to do is put some new popular presenters into the formula and it will work... It didn't.
That opening scene for the first series of Grand Tour, when they drive out into the desert, is one of the greatest statements to friendship I’ve ever seen
The new guys are informative and very direct while also being somewhat entertaining, but it’s just incomparable to the comedy trio of Jeremy, Richard, and James
The older I get the more I see why people dislike Clarkson. I used to be a massive fan of his when I was younger but can't see past his ego these days.
@@zedekiah04 his job is to speak. We're not about to hire Michael J Fox to do spinal surgery. Maybe someone who can speak the language properly should have a decent shot at a talkshow hosting gig instead.
Totally agree! The show just didn't have the same captivating appeal without the 3 Blokes! They recruited a cast of 9 to see what would work and in my opinion the German Lady - Sabine Schultz, was the only one to qualify as Top Gear material! Unfortunately we lost her too soon! Rip Sabine 😢!
yea after the sacking it was given to the " BBC woke gender under representation, casting committee" to find a new presenters. lets see we need a woman, pref blonde check a person of colour check a yank for the largest market check someone in F1 so we can all go to exotic holidays check OK here is the tuff one we need someone who is loud mouthed, irraiting disliked, and will pee off everyone, so we are down to J.Clarkson Boris Johnsone any one else? wait how about a loud dwarf ginger lets have Chris Evans?
the fact the 3 of them are so inconsiderate yet freindly towards each other and the fact that the lot of them to stupid things is what makes them interesting
We all know the show with the JC-RH-JM trio wasn't just about cars. It was about it's key values - friendship, friendly insulting 😅, fun among friends and the community that was enveloping the whole show. It helped to fulfil our love of cars even though we couldn't afford them. 🖤 thank you
Top gear was never about the cars, I didn't care about cars when I started watching, it was about the dynamic of the group. Clarkson, May and Hammond were just incredibly entertaining to watch.
