I am into BDSM, but I'm also strongly into personality quizzes. There is a lot of cool psychology behind creating a personality quiz and the connections from the questions answered to drawing inferences (personality quiz results). Then again, I also have a natural knack for psychology, so that is probably why I like personality quizzes too :D

One big problem I had with this quiz is that all of the exhibition questions talked about the “even if the person didn’t agree to it”. Consent is super important.

@@Finn-sr3fm No worries! You didn't write the quiz! I think consensual exhibitionism/voyeurism is a kink that deserves a lot more attention. I know for some people the hotness comes from the "wrongness" and illicit nature of exhibitionism and voyeurism, but that can still be achieved through roleplay/fantasy. If a person did not consent to seeing a sexual act nor consent to having their sexual act seen, then STOP.

The quiz is actually missing A LOT of kinks but it's a good basic quiz for beginners. Not at all littles are sexual, so that question can be tricky. Honestly, a lot of the questions are open for interpretation, and I hate the voyeur and exhibition questions include non consensually in then, I'd like those separated out.

Allot of the time when I took it I felt the questions needed to be split into multiple parts and there definitely needed to be more kinks in there. Especially as a newbie it’s nice to have descriptions to what some terms mean so you could consider whether that appeals without having to google every single thing that you come across

So many things i want to tell you, from someone who actually participates in BDSM! First of all, this test actually doesn’t cover many fetishes (think foot fetishes etc), and actually only covers things that involve power exchange. It’s also not like a be all end all of describing kinks, because most kinks are more personal and nuanced. It’s a good starting point though if you’re new to kink and trying to figure out what you might be into. Second thing is that the question about being sexually tortured is not likely, in my opinion, to have to do with pain, since they have other questions on that. Third, ageplay, the kink described in the question about whether you like to act like a child, can be participated in during scenes/sex, or can be a lifestyle. So it doesn’t only have to be in a sexual context. You might actually be more into ageplay than you think lol. I don’t love the “how adventurous are you” questions on this quiz. They kind of push this idea that the more kinky you are, the better, but taking risks in BDSM can be very dangerous, and no one should be judging or measuring each other based on what they like in bed. On your results the “owner” is the top for a pet, not a for a slave. My opinions, feel free to disagree! _Not MY kink, but_ : The "acting like a child; colouring book etc"-thing wouldn't necessarily be sexual (it might be for some people, which, ew); BDSM isn't *just* about sex, it can be about broader dynamics in the relationship. But BDSM is so broad that it's often interpreted differently I suppose.

It's really important to remember that BDSM does *not* equal sex. BDSM can be completely non-sexual. The pleasures you can get from BDSM can be completely non-sexual. This quiz is definetely not very inclusive of that, but there are many asexual people who enjoy and participate in BDSM.

So, I have done this test twice(?) Once when I was 18 (before having a long term relationship) and once just now (aged 20, and in a long term relationship) when I was 18 my results were: Brat, Masochist, Pet and at 20, my results are: Rope bunny, Brat, Pet and Experimental (with the same percentage) It's really interesting how your answers change over time

I think "owner" here might be meant as the opposite of "pet", not the opposite of "slave"? I've heard both though. But it would explain why slave was higher up than owner for you, since you expressed no interest in pet play.

And now I’m considering re-taking this with my partner to see how/if we’ve changed over time. Especially since I’m almost positive the first time I took it (probably 2012 or 2013), I thought in terms of fantasy and only through the prism of how I personally understood BDSM at the time. And now I have more experience and a broader view of what those things can mean AND I think about consent differently (better) than I once did. And some of those questions definitely don’t consider consent.

Yeah, doing it again, especially if you feel you as a person or even the way you act in some contexts have changed, or if you've thought or experimented some more, can be really interesting. I do it regularly (for context: I am in the lifestyle though, and it's a very big part of my daily life), mostly as an excuse to think about and question myself a bit because I suck at doing it on my own and have a really hard time figuring out what I like

Hannah!!! I love your hair in this video!! It’s gorgeous!!!! Also I love quizzes too. This was a good one, but kind of told me what I already know. It was cool to get percentages of things though. I’m 83% dominant haha, 62% switch, & 56% voyeur which I find a surprisingly high amount but I guess it’s based on the levels I answered. I love your who am I series. Being a kinky person, I try to redo this quiz every year! It’s a good generic type of guide to use as reference. Top 3. Brat, non-monogamist, submissive. Bottom 3. Sadist, degrader, degradee. I currently only have one partner but we are both polyamorous and his results definitely line up appropriately with mine 😅

There's some more in-depth checklists available as well if you are interested. I myself know 2 good ones that go into more specific activities. This quiz a nice basis indeed, but the checklists are usually quite useful to have when you are in the BDSM community if you want to see whether your kinks actually match with someone (Assuming of course that you are into it)

My answers and percentages were pretty much the same and in general nothing I didn't already know (voyeur, vanilla, dominant, switch) *but* the "brat tamer" really resonated with me. I didn't know there was a word / kink for it but it's so me 😂 I love it when my partner acts cheeky and maybe a little rude and I have to "punish" them for it. Lol.

As someone who's never had sex nor been in a relationship, I found some of the questions hard to answer based on lack of experience. That being said: 100% switch, 92% voyeur, 88% masochist, and to contrast: 59% sadist, 37% exhibitionist. Seems about right, though I'd expect sadism to be slightly higher, and for voyeur and masochist to switch.

This test was SUPER helpful to me when I had just dipped a toe into BDSM, but I don't put too much focus on it now, even though on sites like Fetlife people use it a lot in their bios. I guess it helps in the broad sense but it can be focused on too heavily and doesn't allow for much nuance. Plus it's missing a lot
