I think you could film a off grid cooking show and people would love it. You inspire me and I’m 60 years old and have been cooking since I was 9. Great job on the polar plunge you guys. 👍🏻

I’m not sure how I stumbled onto your channel a few years ago, but I’ve watched all of your videos. They’re so well paced, so relaxing, a nice variety to content and ‘formats’, so to speak. Thank you for living the dream I want to do for 2-3 weeks at a time after I retire. The cooking, the van projects, the slower pace, the having so much less stuff. OMG I can’t wait. In the meantime I thank you for everything you share with us.

You have done such a good job of showing winter life in the woods. I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series. It brought back so many memories of my early life in Quebec, and I could smell those cinnamon rolls from my livingroom. Love, love, love your content!

Ten years ago my wife and I moved from the North East to the east coast of South Florida. We purchased a hurricane-proof 4,000. Sq/Ft sprawling ranch on one half acre land that sits on a huge freshwater lake 130'ft rear lakefront property. No mortgage debt free. Solar-heated built-in inground swimming pool. Paradise found. 🌴🌴

I'm so very proud of you for following through with the cold plunge. Remember, you can do ANYTHING you put your mind to 🤗

Linnea I love watching you cook from scratch. I'm sorry the deep woods hasn't been cold enough for you lol. The coldest Temps I've had was 10°. Given I had absolutely no type of heat, I think it was an accomplishment that I withstood the cold. Now I have low voltage electric blanket. Thank God for the Bluetti. I'm so proud of you and Chis for actually taking the plunge. Yikes! Can't wait until next week.

I love your videos so much; since the first one I watched, I was hooked! I'm planning on living on the road with my 12 year old pup and traveling to the west coast from Texas by this time next year. Yes, my dog is in his last few years, but I want him to be able to enjoy nature (and he still has the energy of a 2 year old pup!) It's been so stressful trying to plan everything, especially with the tight 2-year timeline that I've given myself to get my Jeep ready. However, watching your videos put me at ease and remind me how worth it'll be once I'm actually out there exploring the wilderness. Thank you so much for the inspiration!

Ditto many comments here...I'm 70 and have loved watching you prepare this winter challenge; and watching all of it over time - even seeing how yours and Chris's relationship has been shared in his videos. Kudos for getting that last thing checked off your "to do" winter off-grid list - points over the top getting Chris in that dip also. The pot roast and bread looked so delicious. You asked in your last video what we've learned from you - definitely cast iron pot cooking!!! I could almost taste those cinnamon rolls.

Came across your videos while stuck in the house waiting for my medical to kick in so I could have hip replacement surgery. Now the wife and I are in Quartzite living out the dream. Sold our house and purchased a travel trailer after 62 years in frozen, northeastern Minnesota. Next time you try winter camping, you should choose somewhere near Ely/Winton... That would be some tough winter living. Very rare if it doesn't hit -55 for at least one week... but hangs at -45 through most of January. Love your videos and thanks for the little push to spend the rest of our lives not to live and die in a cold house. Best of luck to you!

Your polar plunge reminded me of the time I jumped into a snow fed creek in the Black Hills. It was early spring and very warm out. My friend and I were suntanning and a jump in the creek sounded good. It wasn’t! All I could think was to get out and get out fast! I love to watch you cooking. It looks so good! With the heavy snow in the latest forecast for this region, I wonder if you are still in Wisconsin or have left.

I really don't know if you are brave or a little off for that plunge but I enjoyed watching and sitting here hollering get out now . I'm 82 and jealous of your cooking. I never was good with yeast maybe you could tell me what I'm might be doing wrong. The weather is a little crazy in Alabama also ,it is suppose to be 83 here Thursday. The cold plunge is what we call winter bathing in Scandinavia. It's popular and normal for a lot of people. A pro tip. Get your head underwater as fast as possible. It makes the rest of you feel better and the kick/high is amazing.

My momma always dusted her roast with flour then seared it. The stuff on the bottom made wonderful gravy when deglazed!
