WHAT PRAISE and SCOLD does JAPAN get from FOREIGNERS? 

I wouldn’t praise the fact that you can smoke in some cafes. I mean, cafes. Places with children and you eat ice cream. And its full of people who smoke!! I think its outrageous I’m sorry

It would be good to ask where people come from. THEY may compare Japan with Australia, USA, UK or other countries, but we viewers don't know

Convenience stores, love Japan's convenience stores, all of them. The food. The people. Cleanliness of the streets, waters, trains, buses, public restrooms. Japanese toilets. The way people line up for the trains and outside businesses, walking up stairs and going up escalators. Complaints; hard to find trash cans and not having sidewalks in some areas

It would be good to interview foreigner-japanese couples, to check their point of view on life in Japan, in general.

I think the smoking situation in Japan is really bad for people who hate the smell and/or are asthmatics (as in my case). In Britain, the smoking rate for adults has come down a bit to about 14%. But if you add in all the people vaping, including a lot of kids, it’s still a huge problem. The main benefit though is that smoking in public places is far more restricted than it seems to be in Japan. In Japan, the percentage is higher, but also includes 15 to 18 year olds, so perhaps it’s not far from our statistics overall. But the smoking in public areas in particular is very problematic. We as humanity should have eliminated smoking a long time ago. It’s really confounding that we still aren’t close to eradicating it.

I think the working situation is extremely bad. Limit overtime, and increase overtime pay when it is unavoidable. And just live to work as that lady said. The more work you do, the more damage you’re doing to the climate and the planet. Less is more. I don’t think Japan has to give up its high societal standards in many respects in order to have a more relaxed, stress free and sustainable country. They can have both.

今はアメリカより年間労働時間は短いし、残業の有る会社と無い会社があるので、面接時に確認して自分の好みで選んで入社してください。 日本では副業がほとんど禁止されてるので、残業代で収入アップしたいという人も多いです。

街にゴミ箱が無い事のメリットの大きさに気付いて欲しいですね。 そして自分がどれだけゴミを出していたか、それを集め処理してくれる人々のご苦労まで意識できる大人な外国人に成って欲しいです。

ゴミ箱ない、ゴミ箱ない、って必ず言うけど、逆に思うんだけど、外出してゴミなんてそうそう出るものか？ 外国人は食べ歩きするからゴミが出るんでしょ？スタバのカップとか持って飲みながら街散策してるよね？そもそもそれを日本人はあまりしないから。 コーヒーとか飲む時は飲み歩きせず、コーヒーショップで座って飲みますよ。食べ物だって本当に軽食くらいしか食べない。その食べ歩きすら一般的でもない。その軽食で出るゴミなんてたかが知れてて、それを自分のバッグに袋にいれて持ち歩くのも苦でもない。 むしろ、ポイ捨てされてるのを見る方が、自分の部屋汚されてるようにすら感じる。 汚いものなんか見たくないでしょ？自分の部屋じゃなくとも。 そこが外国人と大きな違いなのかもね。 外国人も街が綺麗だ！ってことに感動する心は持っているのだから、それが好ましいという意識はあるわけで、けどそれが自分の国に帰ると、汚さを目にしても放っておいてしまう。一人一人がそうだから、綺麗にならない。 一人一人が綺麗を心がければ外国だって道が綺麗になると思うけど。

I didn't understand the smoking comment. Japan is a smokers paradise. So many are smokers, so many bars allow smoking...even the bartenders are smoking behind the bar lol

みんな日本ではビーガンレストランを探すのが難しいと言いますよね。元々日本は肉を食べない文化だったから、昔ながらの食べも、店に行けば良いと思うのは私だけでしょうか？例えば、蕎麦屋、豆腐専門店、天ぷら店などです。出汁もダメと言われると難しいかな。

I am quite happy that, on average, Japan is very deserving of praise. The only things they had to say about the country were fairly miniscule.

Japan is the #2 music market in the world. The bands/groups are talented and highly skilled. Also they really know how to dance, unlike in the US.

And the “We’re vegetarians” were so obnoxious!! Blah Blah !! You know they’re so full of themselves!! So condescending!

日本は奴隷制度の無い国だったので、天皇陛下、皇族、武士、庶民に至る迄、皆、普通に仕事（労働）をして来た文化。現在は、事務屋（ド文系）は、解らんが（大半は、直ぐに終わる仕事をダラダラし、残業代を稼いでいる、特に役人共）、技術系、理工系の人達は自分がやっている仕事（研究）が楽しくて（大半の人）、ついつい長時間労働になる（この点は、世界共通だと思う）。
