The doctor is on a power trip, he is enjoying having control over the kind of England and England while he is advising him. I knew he was a sadist quack when he started calling George "Boy"! regardless of treatment he is still your King! He enjoys having rooms in the palace and power over all the servants and even Reynolds the kings man. Reynolds had that power as the kings right hand until the doctor came. I see both view points, mom and Charlotte. Charlotte is upset because she was kept in the dark about his condition and she was so scrutinized by the dowager princess when she arrived. His mother is trying to keep him and his secrets safe so he remains the king. I do think she loves her son, but she too is under so much pressure from parliament. She had to find him a wife outside of England who had not heard the rumors of the kind being "different". Great getting a look at what was actually going on from George's point of view. Now we know why she loves those dogs in Bridgerton. George gifted her her first Pompom. I think his mother and the doctor are both triggers for him. He has had an episode after every encounter with his mother. I'm not going to post any spoilers but we heard how everything in his childhood was looked at as how it would effect England, even when he had no control over if or if not he was ill as a baby with Colic. There are other things that happened to him as a child that you will learn as you get to the last 2 episodes. Get ready ladies, good luck

Colic is when a healthy baby cries for a very long time, for no obvious reason. It is most common during the first 6 weeks of life. It usually goes away on its own by age 3 to 4 months. Up to 1 in 4 newborn babies may have it. Researchers don’t know the exact reason babies get colic.

We can rightly feel sorry for George but Charlotte's reaction is completely understandable even if she loved George. I would have been disappointed if we didn't get such a reaction after she found out about his condition. That's a pretty huge thing to deal with at such a young age.

Another great reaction, Ladies🌺🌸 This episode was difficult but it preps you for what’s to come. Colic is when a baby cries for hours on end for no obvious reason. It’s usually attributed to over/under feeding, allergies, or anxiety...just to name a few. 🙂

If you were the actor playing the doctor, you can't look at the doctor the way you guys describe him. George had a mental illness, and he had lots of doctors put him through hell, according to the Princess Dowager, even before this new doctor came into the picture. If you were the doctor, you must believe that you are sincerely trying to help the king, because these methods that the king asked you to do is literally putting the doctor's own life at stake. The doctor risks being killed if these treatments don't work and George is seriously injured. Now one of you said, when the doctor slapped George, that George needed a good slap. Now from the doctor's perspective, if a good slap can bring George back to normal, then what could his more severe treatments do to cure the king?

I can’t really fault Charlotte for her reaction, she is upset no one told her about the kings condition and it’s clear they all knew about it, and kept her in the dark. Luckily she got over that and she was already in love with him by that point I’m guessing.

I think in modern terms he might be schizophrenic because he has hallucinations and delusions. Not sure just an idea
