The Vietnamese Banh Mi is definitely the golden standard for Asian sandwiches. That being said they all look pretty good.

Banh Mi are the best Asian sandwiches. You cannot beat the crunchy bread, the meats, the fresh pickled veggies, cilantro, etc. Its just so balanced and perfect. Not to mention it’s very affordable at most places

As a foreigner, I definitely think the East Asian palette would be best suited using bread styles from Arab countries (Hobz or Pita), and should explore different breads than western basically. Tortilla, there are so many breads. Basically go full Zheng He to find new breads. Your filings are pretty much already made from your soups and stews

Everything looks incredible 🤤🙏 and really made me miss one of my top favorite neighborhood's restaurant, a Vietnamese family owned business which was my "go-to" for the past 10 yrs. It was right around the corner of my house, but because of the pandemic it was closed down 🤧... I'd always get the Summer rolls and the big bowl of pho, either seafood with squid, chicken or beef... that and a huge bahn-mi sandwich, which had the sliced fresh cucumber and fried egg. I've been craving that for the past 3 days and it sucks that I can't find any other similar eateries here in South Beach, where the food choices aren't the greatest, UNLESS you're willing to pay an arm and a leg for it.

My favorite Asian sandwich is the banh mi from Saigon Sandwich in SF. All varieties are wonderful, for instance the og fancy pork, (extra pate for me on every sandwich please).. 🤗🌻🧡

Lentil soup Dice chop 2 large onions Dice chop 1 large sweet potato / 1 can of carrots . 1 bag of dry lentils in slow cooker then mix . Add Water or Chicken stock to cover contents / sit over night for soaking. next morning stir and set on high for 4 hours / after 4 hours drop down the heat to med, high setting for additional 4 hours / check veggies and beans for tenderness / if tender add 4 table spoons of salsa and salt & pepper to taste turn off slow cooker and let sit for 5min before serving ( Don't Add salsa or salt before cooking time wait until veggies and beans are cooked to add.) If you want to add sausage or pork / Bacon Add this after the 4 hours of cooking after the additional 4 hours of cooking time check veggies , beans and meat for doneness. 8 hours total cooking time comes out perfect every time. enjoy.

Sandwiches look interesting--why didn't they have these places when I was living in NYC???? I'd probably eat all the insides and leave the bread--I like those artisan breads with a denser (not soft) texture. But the things they're stuffing sandwiches with I'd love to eat. Yeah, I eat all the topping off of pizza too, leave all the bread parts.
