From Liverpool and absolutely adore the Scots

I'm Scottish and my husband is English and even he doesn't like them! 😂 They are fine as individuals, the problem is their superior attitude as a country, IMO.

Scottish don't have a problem with English people but the only thing that annoys me is English football pundits

Us Scots don't have a problem with the English people there are thousands of English living happily in Scotland If Scots have a beef with anyone it's more aimed at the English Government who not only steal resources from the other 3 UK Nations but also keep dragging us into wars that Scotland , Wales & N.Ireland don't any involvement in . English sports commentators get right up our noses , when a scot wins a sporting event they're considered British but if a Scot loses they're considered Scottish . No matter what football match is on telly for example Italy vs Spain they always talk about English were you'll have Scots screaming at the telly "we're not interested in England we're interested in what your being paid to do is commentate on the game we're all watching . 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 . Another thing when Scotland play Internation Football matches we can only see the highlights on regular tv like the bbc & itv No LIVE Games whatsoever , but they will show all the England games Live in Scotland .

Hi Eddy I'm Scottish and proud and have lived and worked in England and Wales and i have many friends in both countries. I have NEVER had any bother in either when i wear my Scotland football top only great banter.

I'm Scottish but my Mum lived in South East England since I was little so I used to go there for Summer holidays from school. I found everyone pleasant enough but my step dad was very arrogant and anti Scottish so made my life hell when I was there. I'm also good friends with plenty of English folk.

Scottish, lived in England for 25 out of 60 years, been back in Scotland for the past 17... It's a lot more complex than just rivalry. Many English people do have a superior attitude, but so does a minority of Scots, such as those with high military or civil service offices, and some of the aristocracy and/or their followers. It's not really their faults as individuals however, it's just how they've been raised... I saw a somewhat ironic cartoon yesterday suggesting that today, English voters will decide on behalf of Welsh, Northern Irish and Scottish voters, which political partty shall form our government for the next five years - because that's what happens when you live in a colony... Now, in theory, we're not an English colony at all - we're a partner in a union. But there lies the rub, because it doesn't always feel that way - and it does feel like we're being treated as if we're an English colony a lot of the time - you know, something that exists for their entertainment, and pride... And so, it's only natural that we want to assert ourselves in various ways, isn't it? I tell those of you who are against nationalism. Political nationalism only exists because England refuses to change its ways. Treat us as equal partners, and we might just like it enough, to all live happily ever after!

Last year, i had a chap travel up from down south to fix my windscreen. He was very nice and we chatted at length, he spoke about how beautiful the scenery was around our area and said he fancied bringing his family up to have a holiday. He said he was worried he would have a hard time being English up here, i told him, there are quite a few English here who are welcome. I did remind him, however, if you act like an arsehole you will be treated as one, lol

My heart says independence from the UK my head says no, so i abstained from voting in 2014. I voted, like the whole of Scotland, to remain in the EU, but was disappointed that England (and Wales) brought us all out of the EU.

As an Englishman, I absolutely love the Scots. As I have Scottish & Dutch roots, I seem to embrace Scottish culture more than the English culture

My Brother and I, in our 40's and 50's who were both born in Scotland, but spent most of our lives in England, have never and would never support England in sport (especially football) and it drives our English parents nuts! Its just something you do as a Scot. I despise football but I will always watch a match in the Euro and World Cups and support Englands opposition, even Russia! lmao

I like the English except every few years when I have a 90 min period of hatred and once a year for an 80 min period, the last good few 90 mins have been followed with rage and sadness but the last few 80's have been followed with gloat and happiness 😂 ⚽ and 🏉 for anyone wondering the very specific time periods.

This is the trouble with having four different governments for four different countries, conflicts of interest who did this?

They don't steal resources, they pay extra. So every Scottish person has more governmental support than people in the North East and West of England, the Midlands, the South West and South East.

It’s the Westminster Government control that is the problem. Scotland’s resources are exploited by Westminster and we have been treated as 2nd class citizens for too long. Scotland is effectively disenfranchised by the Union. No matter how we vote in elections it’s how the English vote that takes precedence. You just have to look at the Brexit result. Scotland overwhelmingly voted to stay in Europe but because England voted to Leave, we all had to leave. Our voice doesn’t count.

Anyone from England and anywhere else will find nothing but a warm welcome Scottish people are the friendliest in the world

Scotland and England have a long history that’ll never get unraveled in RU-vid comments but, what I’ll say, is in the last 25-35 years, there’s been a huge shift in how we see the English. Go back to the 80s and it was ‘English bastards’ but now we’ve seen that the UK Govt treat many English regions as poorly as they treat us and that’s brought a kind of… mutual understanding, I guess. We’re united in our hatred of how we are governed Still want them pumped at the fitba though 😉 Naar Links! Naar Recht! (That’s the limit of my Dutch 🇳🇱 ) The Scots and Irish are hugely similar, have a long and deep history together, the Scot’s came from Ireland (Ireland was even called Scotland at one stage) but even with that long and tangled history, you can never say we should be the same nation and that rule applies to Scotland and England. We should absolutely have more links and ties with each other than anyone else but all 4 nations are far too proud to be unified. The United Kingdom is no more than a political union, not a nation. Don’t get me wrong, we should always remain friendly, cordial, we should always be partners, we should always be friends. We should trade, intermingle, we should all be united, but individually. I think, with us being mainly Celts, we’ll always be a little closer to Ireland, Wales, the Cornish and Manx than to England but there’s little doubt we’ll always stand together

I don’t hate England I hate the English politicians deciding what happens with us and also the fact we have the west minister nukes on the Clyde just down the road from me.
