@@user-vj6du5of4z mf we constantly sharpen and know how to operate how you going to tell when I'm the one using it. The damn thing is ass it sucks. Keep popping the chain off and constantly getting stuck or won't completely cut
I had a 60cc saw and a 70cc saw. My 60cc saw went down and I gotta say I'm missing the lighter weight of that saw. Especially when I'm cutting medium to smaller diameter logs. I can feel that heavier saw after a couple hours of cutting. It keeps getting heavier and heavier. I'm not a brand fanatic. They're all awesome.
That’s exactly right! If I know I’m walking around a bunch and medium/small stuff, I’ll use our 50cc stihl. Bigger bucking and felling, 70cc husky comes to play.
No joke I had a makita dcs7901 and that darn thing would work you to death it was so heavy it was a 79cc beast I went and bought a stihl ms260 pro and was so relieved it was way lighter and could cut anything I needed to but felling larger trees so basically the makita didn't get out to much after the stihl purchase! Lmao 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
@@joeysweet9045 I went in the opposite direction. I started off with a 50 cc chainsaw for everything. Last year, I added a smaller chainsaw for thinning, and recently I purchased an 80 cc chainsaw. Now, I use my 50 cc less and less frequently.
The biggest saw also had the longest bar and the most teeth which will create a power loss over that tiny short bar. The test should be done with new chains and same size bar. Big saws save lives.
Tell you what, years of cutting with a small stihl ms250. Learning to properly sharpen. Good saw but with the short bar and low hp even the best sharpen I can do. It saves a lot of time to just get a bigger saw with a longer bar. The husky 562xp does an amazing job in a 3rd the time. Easier on the back. My times on a 18 inch log were stihl ms250 22seconds, husky 562xp 7 seconds. I'll always keep the little ms250 as a back up saw.
Все эти пилы отличные, но пила должна быть для того кому она нравиться и для работы которую она должна делать, не обязательно таскать пилу свыше 6 кг, когда вся работа у тебя делает 5 кг и мощностью 50 куб. См.
Not a fair comparison, not all the same brand. Depends on what you are cutting and where it is. Depends in who sharpened the chain. I only use a saw that I sharpened.
Stihl ms-310 (60cc) and my Echo cs-400 (40cc) do me just fine. But im not out felling redwoods either. A sharp chain and a good running saw should cut just fine.
You want one in each cc class if youre taking firewood or tree work seriously. Get the most powerful tophandle saw you can get (35cc, 14" bar) for trail and branch clean up, super easy on the body. 50,60, or 70cc 16-30" for felling and medium bucking, lighter is better. 80 or 90cc 30-42" for big bucking, heavier the better. Gravity is your friend. 100cc and up for those 5ft plus monsters youll come across maybe once in your life. Most practical for slabwork. My setup is Ms193t 026 pro 041 AV farmboss 056 mag II
IF the chain is sharp? No excuses mate, the chain must always be sharp. It's really easy and fast with the correct size file, most dudes that have problems with that even with the right technique (nothing complicated) are using incorrect sizes, like me when I was new, the guy that sold me the file knew nothing about it and there was no way I could make it work, bought a bigger file and voila, 5 minutes later the chain was cutting like new.
Cc is really about what size bar you are using. More ccs can turn a longer chain. A chain with properly filed rakers and sharpened nicely on a saw that is well maintained is great for normal use
The lightest one I can use that will properly do the job. I have 10 acres of 100+ year old forest and chainsaw carve. For choices I have a MS250 w/12” carving bar. CS590 with 20” bar. MS066 with 36”&48” bars. 80% of the time I pick up a saw for other than carving purposes its the MS250 because its the lightest and easiest to run. Then the 590 and almost never the 066. Its a beast but a heavy beast.
I love Stihl but every video I watch husky beats Stihl in an equivalent power to rate ratio. I bought a husky 440 recently, it's an amazing saw for homeowners but it's simply a pig to start when it's hot. Cuts great but I'm constantly re building a re coil
3 different brands! Of course the more cc , the more bar and chain. The more bar and chain = more travel across the wood at any given time frame. The one with the kanookle valve will always win!
Pretty hard to beat a property ported 50cc pro saw for anything but logging! Obviously you have to have a good 70 or 80cc class saw to compliment it, but I have both hot rodded 346 and 550 xp’s as well as hot rodded 562xp and hopped up 7900 dolkita. If it’s too much for either 50cc, I go straight to the dolkita. Sold my muffler modded 262/372xp combo already. Never touched them after I had 550 ported up. Then I had 346 done, now I no longer own/ use stock saws
@@72timhall probably be wise to stock up on spare oem cylinder, motor mounts, air cleaners and coil, but 272xp coil is a nice upgrade too. so far the hyway is doing good on my blue 372xp, so aftermarket is always a lesser desired option, but its there. Just like anything else, its gonna break n wear out in time, run ethenol free fuel at 40:1 with a good quality oil, keep air filter clean and they will last a LONG time.
@@BruceMyersLBZ I've heard good reviews about the hwy kit when used with better quality caber rings.Im thinking you are correct about getting some spare motor mounts maybe an intake manifold too. Thanks
We were cutting up a huge fallen rainbow eucalyptus, I had a 50 cc Stihl 261 and cut faster than the boss with his Stihl 500i... I sharpen my own chains
I have watched a lot of saw videos. I think you can hear when saw is to lean. The sound the 60 cc saw is making is what I am talking about. That t t t t high pitched sound.
A ported 346 or 261 is a fantastic saw. Ported 562 is another great one. I had a ported 572 didn’t care for it, Husqvarna needs to step up their air filter game. 15 minutes of run time and there’s dust in the intake neck. Boxed it up and sold it.
They are rippers ported. I’ve had the opposite experience with the air filter on this 572 (2021 model). 0 dust in the intake, our newer stihls are a different story
