In fact there are significant number of Sri Lankan Malays(Approximately 50,000) in Sri lanka where there are descendants are from Malaysia and Indonesia..
@travelwithbalnur It's quite surprising that none of those seen in the video mentioned clearly about the Sri Lankan Malay Ethnic Community (who are Sri Lankan Citizens in Sri Lanka) and the influence of food that has become a part of Sri Lankan food that has it's initial origins from the Malay Archipelago (that includes the present day Indonesia and Malaysia). Wattalappam (Sri Lankan Malay Pudding), nasi goreng, Dodol are some of the food that is now a part of Sri Lankan food that has it's origins from the Malay and Indonesian region many years ago.
