Just remember. Stephen A said the NYK should've drafted Dennis Smith Jr, not Ntilikino. Then after Dennis Smith Jr gets to NYK in Porzingas trade & fails, he switched to saying the NYK should've drafted Donovan Mitchell. I think the NYK should've took Cole Anthony, but I think they thought Toppin would bring excitement with his dunking, rather than drafting pieces to build a solid winning team.

knicks, thats why you never draft players the same position as your franchise player. trade up your draft pick or trade down and get more first round picks in the future. drafting the "best" player left on the board is dumb. go ask the 76ers. drafted(rights traded) Nerlens Noel, Embiid, and Okafur. thats 2 first round picks wasted because you "always draft the best player." FOH with that archaic way of building a team. could have traded to create a balance within the team. take notes from Jerry West.
