Yeah it's inaccurate to say Xavier: Renegade Angel didn't stick out because pretty much everyone who watched Adult Swim in the late 00s remembers it for how utterly surreal it was even by Adult Swim standards, I can't say I liked it (at least not at the time) but I sure as heck remember it. Maybe what he meant to say is that it never caught on or became that popular, which is true, but I don't think a show that weird was ever aiming for a mainstream audience in the first place, it was destined to be one of those cult "WTF" kinda shows.

Wasn't quite sure which show you were talking about until chode and six and nine popped up. Really got my memory going when I saw the side characters. Yikes I was really young and didn't understand ANY of the jokes. Just thought it was a purple cheese string on a wacky adventure

I'm legitimately shocked that not once during this video, did you ever mention once that Six's character couldn't keep a goddamn voice actress for more than 12 episodes. Seriously it kept changing. Carmen Electra was like 1 out of four or five voice actresses to play Six in that show. She is voiced by Patricia Beckmann and Terry Farrell in the pilot, Gina Gershon in season 1, Carmen Electra in season 2 and Jenny McCarthy in season 3. Seriously. What was the production like that kept driving away those voice actresses?

I'm guessing they didn't bother to contact them ahead of time and would just try and call them up the day before they were going to record, and each time their previous voice actor was busy. You'd be surprised how haphazardly some casting is done on shows. Even Thor Ragnarok did that, which is why Sif wasn't in it.

I remember seeing commericals for this on Syfy when me and my mom would watch those old original movies they would show. The funny thing was that at the same time that this was being advertised the Miguzi block on Cartoon Network was starting to be advertised and my mind kind of fused the two together.

Not gonna lie, I watched the whole series and Gus is legitimately my favorite character, with Darth Bobo. Totally agree with everything in the review and the gay jokes were too rampant, but I still enjoyed it whenever he was on screen. Maybe, his voice kinda helped with that.

Tripping the rift was my favorite show on Sci-Fi back in 2004 - 2005 and I've never forgotten it. I occasionally check the interwebbings to see if there's any sign of a reboot to no avail of course.

Aw yeyeah, this show was my jam back in the 2000s. I remember when the SciFi channel was being previewed to air in Australia on Foxtel, there were numerous thirty second ads previewing the shows that would feature on SciFi. This show was one of them and another one that became a life-long favourite was Rurouni Kenshin. Good times back then. The first season of the show was actual the best, not so much the second and probably the third also. Oh, and Six of One was voiced by Gina Gershon in the first season. Carmen voiced Six in the second. Gina's acting was awesome... Carmen was just smeg. Also, you had John Melendez voicing the ship computer. Ya know, the guy who used to announce every show for Jay Leno? Now please do a review for the show Funky Cops. That was also my jam.

Something i caught when watching this was how good of a dad darth bobo is. For anyone wondering darth nobo has a teenage daughter and the relationship they have is very heartwarming. Ive noticed this kind of bring a trope with villains. As someone who was raised by their father i know what its like firsthand and raising a girl was especially hard. Funny enough i would sometimes see my dad and myself in their relationship. Granted we arent evil clown over lords but i like how they addressed father daughter relationship as those are often overlooked. I kind of want a cartoon just about the two

You are wrong! This show is classic. Every episode dealing with the Clowns is hysterical. For example, in the riff on the film Fantastic Voyage, we see Chode, Gus and the nephew shrink down inside their ship to go inside Darth BoBo's body. When they take over his speech center while Darth is at the table with his wife Bernice. Everything is hysterical. In other episodes you have situations that are just out of this world. A riff on the Bill Clinton scandal, the beauty contest and so much more. I would urge everyone who viewed this to watch the show.

Wow, thanks for this great video to remind me of a completely abysmal show I grew up watching on DVD! Would you consider doing a video on God, the Devil, and Bob? I remember it also being very "of the time" with a lot of "The Devil is effeminate, that means he is gay, that is funny" jokes but it has a decent concept, maybe worth covering.
