This is definitely a good video for any man thats just beginning a relationship with a Filipina. One thing to remember is that Filipinas can be very sensitive, and their feelings can be hurt easily. And it's mostly a misunderstanding. You just live and learn. Happily married almost 5 years.

I've been watching your videos for a while and I like the fact that you bring up topics like this if it wasn't for some of your videos I wouldn't even know what to ask Filipina and how different our cultures are for example the philippinus take care of their family by giving the money where am I culture us the men have to physically help their parents when they need it I hope one day I can send them to the Philippines to live and find a Filipina wife thank you for making informational videos about the Philippines and their culture

Chrissy is so mature and sophisticated. Also, you can tell there is genuine love and affection between you two. I just don’t understand the haters. It usually comes down to jealousy.

I made it clear to her that I wasn't interested in marriage at that time and we would have to see how things went... We were together 10 years when we decided that marriage was definitely not going to happen and we split up...... 1 suggestion from me, Rod your voice carries much louder that Chriissy's so maybe move the microphone closer to her just a little.....

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences. I am also 67, my Filipina wife 35. She is much more of a Provincial woman than Chrissy and with less English language comprehension. Our struggles are very similar, perhaps even more extreme. I agree wholeheartedly that humor and sarcasm are not appreciated by my wife like I had expected. The first video I watched on your channel was the interview with Tony.... and Rob, I commented on your great interview style and said that you had found your niche. Since then, I have watched several more of your videos and have enjoyed every one of them. The conversations between the 2 of you are casual and comfortable.. and the subjects are always compelling. I don't know if you guys follow a prepared outline on the details of what you plan to talk about before making your videos, but the conversations with you and Chrissy flow naturally and feel like they are unscripted. Your content is presented in such an original way that it seems like my first time hearing it, although I have probably heard it a few times before. Can't get enough info about "tampo"!!! lol.. Keep em comin!

My message to ANYONE trying to berate Rob and Chrissy is, 'Rob and Chrissy ARE MY HEROES, so STIFLE YOURSELVES!'. When I deliver my announcements in person it seems more effective. HA! My LDR pinay is withholding better means of communication. I understand that she works 6 days a week and I know she freaked out when I sent her a b-day gift via the dating service we are using [her parents did not know about me], but I don't understand why she won't share her e-mail address with me. Chrissy is such a sweetheart, she immediately stops talking, the moment you “interrupt” her. Brother, do you realize that you interrupted her during “every single comment” of the 13 comments, of this topic, 😉👍🏼😎??? You and all of us are foreigners, we have a pretty good idea of what our opinions are going to be, regarding living in a different country, and their culture. It’s what “Filipina’s” comments and observations are, as well as yours, that we’re interested in. I hear about problems that appear to be solvable, but no one really addresses solutions: [1] if no hot water, install insta hot, [2] if brownouts, get battery backup...at least for computer, [3] if Internet intermittent, get satellite. I think someone could live in province and have this stuff, but tell me if I am mistaken.

A lot of these center around money and expectation, some might say double standard, of being married to a foreigner. A relationship should not feel like a burden for ANY reason. If so, you're likely wrong partner and/or need to makes some changes within yourself. Listen to your intuition, it's almost always correct.

Concerning the Filipina not being able to go directly to the US in particular due to the Philippines say so, couldn’t she just first fly to a nearby country, such as Thailand, stay a short while or just turn around and buy another ticket at the airport, and then fly to the US? Sure, perhaps she would need a return ticket from Thailand just to leave the Philippines, but couldn’t she simply buy another ticket to the US in Thailand since it is the Philippines that won’t allow her to leave? Of course, perhaps there may a problem once she returned to the Philippines, but how severe would that be? I wouldn’t think it is anything more than policy and procedures of immigration rather than any law, and so, could be challenged civilly to force change. The only thing worse than a tyrant, is many tyrants, each with his or her own axe to grind. But, then again, I don’t know…do you? It would shed light on many basic attitudes of the culture just through this one question.

Culture barrier (in my opinion) Is a very weak excuse for a pointless argument. Also I remember I started dating a filipina and after a few months, things going very well. So she decided to pull the 'tampo' thing for a few hours. Had me stressing for a few hours that maybe I did or said something wrong. Then later when we're good again.... She said I passed her test. She wanted to see how I handle filipina 'tampo'. Long story short, I dumped her ass when I found she was testing me.
