You're the only person that actually puts up amazing videos for the eclipses if you can show us how you put it all together that would be amazing. It would have been great if you put the parts list in a description to
I’m torn between getting a 350z or a GTS Spyder. I know either way I’m customizing I’m leaning towards a supercharger but after this video I might need to reconsider a turbo kit one of the 350z I’m looking at comes with a single turbo the previous owner did a lot of customizing already to the car but I feel like a single turbo just isn’t enough power 🤔
Even though I love my 3g. If I had to choose between a 350z and a 3g I would go with the 350z. Tons of aftermarket support no real need to do custom fab work. Now if you can do your own fabrication 3g all the way. It's just a lil more challenging
good thing you didn't run E85. you need a special tune since it's supposed to run high octane. If you do want to run E85, I highly recommend you get it tuned for it or you'll have engine issues.
E85 wasn't popular when I first turbocharged my 3g. Now if I did go that route I wouldn't run the fuel set up that I had since it's really not efficient for the demands for e85. Plus on the tune side I could run more timing and make more power
I have an 03 GT Spyder and I’ve been thinking about a 3.5 swap, 3.8 swap, or just a turbo on the 3.0, and I’ve pretty much decided to turbo the 3.0. Apparently I have a GTS engine, since I’ve heard the 03+ Spyder GT’s have the GTS engine. I haven’t done a compression check yet but I’m pretty sure my engine is pretty healthy. I’m definitely gonna at least upgrade the pistons since I wanna run high boost, but is there anything else on the engine you’d recommend upgrading? I’m looking to get around 400-500 HP out of my build. Would you think the setup described in your video could achieve that? I’m not new to working on cars but I’m kinda new to modifying and boosting cars.
I been doing some reading on club3g and asking some questions some say just turbo the gs it’s easier but I’m not worried about what’s easier i just wanna go for more power from gts turbo or gs turbo
I have upgraded my plug wires to high resident silcon plug wires.. also I run ngk irodium plugs on a gts engine and had no problems.. but anyways, really what I have been thinking about lately is putting a Garrett Turbo on one of my gt engine with the lower compression ratio, but what do you think about running an automatic transmission?
@@tcroc30 do automatic transmissions need to be upgraded and/or tuned? And will my shift points need to tuned? Can a stock transfer be able to handle the boost?
@@tcroc30 well I think that I actually have a very good engine and automatic transmission.. with some of the lowest miles that I have ever seen.. and a very good compression test done on the engine it's self.. I'm going to go ahead and get a transmission cooler and run it in conjunction with the factory radiator.. but was also informed that a good torque converter would be a great investment.. when I do research, I don't find really any information on the 3gclub sites about anyone ever doing it.. so as with anything, I am curious to learn but nerves to do it without proper education.. like I mentioned.. the car that I'm wanting to turbo.. is a very nice car in it's natural state...
I know this is old but i’m considering picking up an eclipse. I would want a sub 5 second 0-60 would I need to turbo? would that even be enough and could I do it for under $1k. Thanks
@@tcroc30 ahhh bet I been looking into power mods for it I haven’t gotten to find much for it you have any recommendations ik the gts cams which I have so I can swap them over
@@tcroc30 okay thanks man. What flange fits on to the stock manifolds? I’m planning to turbo my gts spyder Cali spec. But the hot side is my biggest problem right now. I live in Texas.
@@tcroc30how much psi are u holding in your gt and would it be better to turbo a gts or a 2.4l I have both but now I seen that a 2.4l is better now I’m not sure what to turbo anymore
@@biglj822009 hey man, not tryna be mean but you're asking pretty basic questions. so im assuming theres a lot you dont know about. going straight to turbo kitting while you seem to question what it even does, is a bad idea. start small bro, what matters first is having a platform to put down any kind of power. just worry about your suspension set up first. cuz even with a CAI and exhaust you're not going to gain much. so if you're really looking to turbo, dont waste time/money on small hp gain things
@@tcroc30 where can I find the manifold for the turbo ? Can't find em anywhere also whoud you make me a list of what I would all need I'm not good with memorizing stuff
