As a Fighting Lion main, I can confirm that I am doing 1,000 geometric calculations every second to land every shot of my grenade launcher. Great video again dude.
I used Fighting Lion for PvP a lot during the release of the game. I'm still proud of the fact that I recognized that weapon as strong all the way back then, but unfortunately I sucked ass at FPS games at that time.
our minds produce boundless calculations to perfectly line up the fire, the bounce, and the hit then it goes through the thrall's legs and he gains godly status before i reload and finish him off
@@raydex5620 yeah I normally run Mask of Bakris, duskfield grenade, and a Forensic Nightmare with headstone. It's a great area control build with great movement. I normally use Fighting Lion to hit around corners or to start an engagement, and the duskfield grenade to force my opponent to go a certain way. The headstone perk is paired with whisper of shards to get my grenade back. Also Forensic Nightmare just feels and sounds good regardless of there being better options.
I like it cuz the hip-fire shots stack Scorch. Add the complimentary aspect, and you can make a boss go Boom twice with 1 magazine. Also, you now have an intrinsic unstoppable scout
I remember that someone in trials from the enemy team had Cloudstrike and i underestimated it, biggest mistake of my career. My team and I were going together until the Cloudstrike killed one of us and then wiped us all. In that moment I realized the true potential of it
Ticuus divination is strangely powerful in trials on a long map and under leveled- attempt to punish people who stick too close to each other while retaining the one shot aimed shot
Last season I started using Le Monarque as part of a "You know what, let's just try to clear out some of these unfinished catalysts I've had forever" tidying-up. And then it just had such incredible handling, add clear potential, and backup DPS potential that it stayed glued to my side and I got ten thousand kills with it in one season. Currently forcing myself to mess around with new options, but then I go back to the Lemon as soon as it feels like it's Serious Content (with no barrier champs present)
14:56 My crayon filled brain misunderstood the first joke here and got REALLY EXCITED that there was a Wave Frame kinetic and power weapon that I had somehow never heard about. Honestly how could you do that to me? You know that Titan mains watch your content.
Skyburner's Oath has a very strong synergy with weighted knife on hunter, as it's effect includes instantly igniting any enemy afflicted by scorch, which skyburner's now applies following a buff. Still takes 2 or 3 shots to scorch, though. Nailed it on the Ruinous Effigy, though. I love heehoo weapons like it, but I'll never not miss the seasonal mod that glitch-buffed the slam and desperately wish the catalyst was actually useful.
Skyburner's also works decently well with solar titan since kills with it generates sun spots though enhanced incandescent and other exotics tend to have better damage.
I absolutely loved Ruinous when it came out, and the season when the orbs damage was buffed was insanely fun. I can't wait to see how much the new rework in Lightfall is going to do for it. Its been a long time since I used it so I'm going to have to take it out of my vault and try it on my gyrfalcons build. Also, I love Skyburners. I used to use it even in its base form and although it was definitely underwhelming, it was awesome because it actually looks like a gun we took from the Cabal, and thats one of the things I miss from D1, the fact that the raid weapons actually look like they come from whatever enemy type we faced in the raid.
I unironically wish they would give Skyburner's a little bit of love. Not asking for much, just put it back somewhere in the middle of the pack and make it more useful again.
you have no idea how religously i've been waiting for this to drop it took me 45 runs of VoG to get Vex Mythoclast and i've never stopped using it. 20k and counting
I love Hard Light, but there is a big issue with the way Fundamentals distribute the buff. Namely: Void grants Stability and Aim Assist - but you’re already at 90 Stability and 100 Aim Assist so the benefit is minimal Arc grants Range and Handling - but it turns out there is no noticable damage dropoff, so you only benefit from the aim assist extension.
As someone who takes great satisfaction from sprinting into the room with my Trinity ghoul active and proceeding to delete everything in the room. It makes me feel happy as well as being able to support my teammates
Who else remembers when Hard Light was ruining Iron Banner? The Death Donut.... Never again... NEVER AGAIN!!! (For the New Lights, Hard Light used to not have Damage Falloff and literal nigh infinite range... And in The Crucible we had a Tangled Shore map that was a couple of rooms and side jumping paths... With the main engagement area being a giant ass donut with the hole being another room and the donut itself being a giant hallway... Hard Light was a nightmare.)
Not only do I agree with the Hierarchy of Needs statement I endorse it because I got my second one on my 5th run yesterday. Keep grinding Guardians you'll get it eventually :)
Still crazy how underrated skyburners has always been. Even with the nerf a season or 2 ago, its now as good as any scout when you aim, and pre merf the hipfire was extremely good if you didnt count the random ghost bullets. I do kind of understand nerfing it, it was borderline op, but the ghost bullets kept it in check despite being a bug and not a feature. Give us our old skyburners back man, it was better
4:04 I solely used Hard Light in D1, as it was a stellar weapon. I was so hyped when I finally got it in D2, to be thoroughly disappointed with it's performance.
Yay :) Some great humour here, really enjoyed both, dont use that many Heavy Exotics, but be interestign to see what comedy we get :) - tiny little request though, could you say the weapons name, for those of us wanting to multi task our RU-vid addictions ;p
Thank you! Sorry about the weapon names thing though. Midway through the script on the last video I realized I didn't say the names at all, and decided to stick with that, so unfortunately I don't think that's a change that I can make.
The Vex one describes a good friend of mine, his fireteam member got it on like the 4 clear and he had to do like 50 clears before getting it, now the kills he has on it make up 5% of the kills he has gotten since he got the game when it came out.
lol holy hell.... so it took me 48 clears to Mythoclast and that was the one weapon I wanted to check on. It took me about as many clears in Destiny 1 as well, which is strange, seeing how 3 raid exotics have dropped first clear for me and no other one than this has taken more than 10. Good video
I'm that guy that likes the Polaris Lance. The description is spot on, I really it's exploding 5th bullet after 4 precision hits. Also funny to watch people in pvp be confused on what just hit em with that 5th shot and also slightly disappointed when they slowly burned to death from the dot after that shot.
Le Monarch +oathkeepers with a high impact hand cannon was my go to back in the day during the dreaded Not Forgetten era. I miss hitting someone then body shooting them with a hand canon and letting the poison finish them off. Hated it when the community finally figured it out cause it's over use caused the nerf to weapon swap speed really hurting the high risk high reward style.
Vex with Its Catalyst on a Rain of Fire Warlock slaps. The Catalyst dmg boost + Radiant + FoM is so freaking strong. I need to get a better Rain of Fire, that or get more Artifice Armor so I can ditch my Starfire Fusion build
I can agree with that Coldheart one, me and that trace rifle have been everywhere in this system and I wish it was changed to a stasis trace to fit the theme of cold, but I would be lying if I didn’t say pairing it with arc 3.0 wasn’t the perfect tuneup to me and this gun’s stale relationship.
Hard light and borealis are probably my favourite two exotic energy weapons. If I'm solo I prefer to run hard light if my kinetic slot is taken up with something, but as a general rule I'm mostly using either witherhoard or arbalest so I don't get to use it often
As a Devil’s Ruin main, you’re 100% correct. While I mainly play PVE, god is it great in PVP. I’m terrified every TWAB that it’s gonna get nerfed, but hopefully that doesn’t come any time soon. Also, I feel like I’m the only person that uses it, I never see it. If you ever want a primary that has intrinsic Unstoppable, is basically a fusion rifle, and can’t seem to get Vex Mytho, Devil’s Ruin is a fantastic alternative
I’ve had cold heart in my pocket since 3 months after destiny 2’s release, and i was always a bit taken back by it being an arc weapon since it was COLD heart but i kept it anyways, then stasis was introduced and my thoughts immediately turned to “ooh! Cold heart might be reworked into a stasis weapon” nope still arc. Won’t stop me from using it though, it’s powerful, reliable, and cool as hell. :)
I have 14 hours in the game so far and I have used almost exclusively risk runner for at lest 5 of those. I dont have a ton of time with it but so far... yeah you about summed it
Hierarchy of Needs is unbelievably fun to use. Too bad it's in my Energy slot, meaning I can't run it and my Blinding Grenades. If I could, I absolutely would. Thing is SO SATISFYING.
I love these videos. WHat would you say "What Your Favorite Destiny Kinetic Says About You: Revision Zero"? Because Revision has become my favorite weapon in the entire game in PvP and PvE. And it isnt because its a one shot primary ammo weapon like Vex Mythoclast or Hawkmoon. It's because: 1. I'm a simp for Hakke weapons 2. The weapon just feels great 3. The Sniper mode feels like Heavy Cannon's Precision Bolt mode from DOOM Eternal (Heavy Cannon is my fave) 4. I tried making an exotic 450 auto idea that is the Heavy Cannon with the precision bolt mode but is no longer needed now that this is in the game My Revision is Level 39 and has 69 PvP tracker kills in-game and over 2600-2700 PvE kills
One addendum I'd like to add to the Skyburner's Oath: "If you're into the Skyburner's, there's also a good chance you're a Hunter main who saw TDTs' video on the weapon and decided to try it out for yourself" ICYMI: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wdYQZ3bJxh8.html
Ticuu’s Divination loved it for the ability to ramp up explosion damage draw after draw and the best part AIM-BOT! Ticuu will find you doesn’t matter if you’re 45, 90, or 270 degrees away There is no escape from Yondu…. I mean Ticuu’s arrows
I enjoy skyburner's oath simply because in a lore perspective, it's nearly identical to a warhammer 40k Astartes bolter. Maybe not as powerful, but nevertheless its fun to use.
I can almost confirm tarrabah for me, I am not too aggressive until ravenous is ready and I do want the catalyst to drop but only for it to give the gun subsistence
