It's like RU-vid is for this guy ...He explains everything so much in detail and I like that .all the other people don't tell you things like that .anyways good video
just stated watching your vids like a month ago good stuff man keep it up . most my knowledge is on the mechanical engines this is my first common rail lol that rattle just makes me feel like I can't trust the truck . I want to go nuts and do a crazy build but I got to figure this out first I've heard this and that but nothing conclusive lil help would be much appreciated . props to your channel
Can you do a whole tear down of the front cover with the core support on. And what are the numbers stamped on that lock washer cause i found a larger washer in my pan and the front of the block after I bought a truck with a knock that wasn’t an injector.
you make good vids man , nice collection of cummins trucks , I got a couple myself . newest to my fleet 2006 3500 dually stick love the truck but it has this damn low rpm rattle drives my crazy , seems to go away once boost comes on but damn it I need to fix that have heard if lots on 6.7 trucks have you ever delt with this .
I have a 2005 Dodge 2500. I had the ATS twin fueler cp3 fuel pump kit put on a few years ago. Over time, the bracket that held the new cp3 developed flex, due to the extreme force put on it by the belt pulling down on it. It spit the belt off. Not a good thing. Has anyone come up with a way to build a better, stronger bracket to hold the pully steady, under load? Any flex, and the belt starts to sqeek.
What caused you to replace the pump? I have 219k on my 2012 and am getting a strange lump or miss every once in a awhile. I bought it used, so not sure the exact maintenance history, but I believe its still the original CP3 and fuel pump.
How did you remove it? Was yours not stuck on the front shaft, I've heard you have to use a remover press. Also did you have to "time" it for the noise issue? Thanks. Great video.
You can also once you get the nut lose remove the ratchet, slide the magnet through the square hole in socket up against the CP3 shaft and then as you spin the nut off it will slide onto the shaft of the magnet.
we are very economical friendly around here guys... no we're not lmao. appointment you telling me it's that easy.... I saw a vp44 swap and it looked like you needed a degree from NASA to do it right. theres no alignment or certain way the dial has to be or nun.. god I'm loving my 3rd generation even more
Getting ready to order my 10mm exergy pump and 60% over injectors to wake up my s467.... little off topic but what's your opinion on doing valve springs and pushrods while I'm in there?
Hey man, thanks for the video - it helped a lot. After installed the engine begun making strange noise, do you think that I accidentally changed the gear position- messing the timing? Is that possible?
