Wheel Issues Repair at Home 

A wheel on my LG Hom Bot was not turning.... . After a long web search, I finally got lucky enough to see this video, I followed your advice and upon checking the cables...one was broken. Soldered cable and my Hom Bot is now perfect. Thank you, great job ! Greetings from Italy

Hi, I have a Deebot T8 Aivi, and similar to OhioBenz comment above, I am getting an intermittent drive wheel error. When it does this, it rotates counter-clockwise, so you would think the problem is with the left wheel. When I turn it over and inspect it, there is nothing mechanically binding either wheel. I can turn both wheels freely by hand, although the left wheel is noticeably easier to turn than the right wheel. The left wheel is not free spinning, but sort of has resistance like you feel when winding up a top. It will continue to turn on its own slightly after getting it started. The right wheel will turn freely, but definitely requires more force, and it does not continue to turn on its own. I was surprised, as I was expecting the left wheel to be the one that was stuck or binding. I then began to think that maybe the motor for the left wheel was bad, and this was the reason for the less resistance on that wheel. Then I found this video and read OhioBenz comment. When I placed the Deebot back on the charger for a while, then took it off and inspected the wheels again, both wheels then had the same resistance, and the robot operated just fine! Do you know what could be the cause of this, and how I can resolve this issue permanently?

Hi appreciate you created this video. Mu unit is T9 and having a problem since a month ago “please check the driving wheels”. Sent it to service centre but still error. It’s going over a relatively clean hard floor with no obstacles, yet very few minutes it stops due to this error. What should I do? Please advice

Hi, let's see it someone can help me. I need to disassemble the T8 empty base station due to I have purchased recently and it is impossible for me to take back to my country in the airline as a box. So in order to insert the base station into the luggage I would need to disassemble the tower from the base, unscrewing about 4 screws. Do you know if by doing that, I can break any cable or electronic mainboard that then makes the station useless when I put it back together?

The main brush is not rotating though the machine is working otherwise. As a result, the dust is not getting sucked up. I think the tiny part in which the brush is fixed has got lost, can I just buy this part

this is great information- but can you advise me why the right wheel on my deebot 900 seems to require more force to turn than the left wheel? My bot is making tight clockwise turns and both wheels can move when I flip it over. I find the right wheel to require more force to turn and you can feel resistance compared to the left wheel. But how do you remove the wheel from the T8?

I have a Deebot T8 which has intermittent drive wheel errors. It is always the same wheel. When I turn both wheels by hand one is always harder to turn. However, as soon as I turn the power switch off and back on both wheels are free turning and the vacuum will work without error. What would be the cause for this?

Hi, thanks for explaining the cases. I had the exact issue where my deebot is turning rapidly to the right. After taking it a part, I noticed a wire to the speed sensor for the left wheel is broken. I tried to take out the wheel but found some wires attached to the bottom of the robot which I couldn't figure out how to remove. Could you show/explain how it's done? My model is ozmo 930. Thanks!

Hi, I'm having issues with my deebot 930 model, when deebot back out from charging dock it takes a semi circle towards right, and then stay there and doesnt move an inch, its vaccum brush starts running but deebot doesnt move from the place, i tried your trick to run both wheels by hand, that just make deebot go forward few inches everytime i do the trick but then again stands still with brushes rotating. Can you provide guidance how I can fix this.

Thank you for your video. My issue is with the gears on one of the wheels of my eufy. The last gear (closest to the wheel) is loose and moves even when the wheel doesn't move. It's supposed to be stuck and move with the wheel. Do you know why this happens? Is there a way to "glue" the gear back to the wheel somehow?

mine is shooting off to the right quite a lot causing it to bang into things, I bought this deebot T8 in march and until last week it's been great but now it's erratic and sometimes can't get on the charge dock.

Hi, my castor wheel housing has broke inside the machine and the wheel won't snap back and lock in. Should I send it back to Ecovacs? It is a Deebot M80

This information is really helps. I am able to fix my cecotec 3290 robot cleaner wheel issue by applying wd40. But, you said in the video the fix would work temporarily. What would be the permanent fix? Is wheel change permanent fix? Where can i buy it? (I am from India). Since cecotec authorized service center is not there in India, can you suggest who else can do service? I observed that there is white lubricant inside the wheel between levers. Can you please suggist what is that lubricant? Applying that white lubricant would fix permanently? Thank you.

Nice explanation, but you didnt show to take this off of the unit. So many process involve and its all different per model.

There is another problem you never addressed with the wheel not being able to turn. That is when the rubber wheel comes partially off its rim and is no longer a snug fit onto its rim and therefore the rubber wheel is not symmetrical on its rim. This prevents the wheel from turning because it makes contact with the wheel guard and jams.

Hi, my deebot m88 wont move forward. If i press auto it just turn to the left. So i tought it was the right wheel, but after testing the wheel and motoe is okie. I tried to remove the front sensor. And try to press back. Both motors can move. But forward it cannot. What maybe the problem?
