I’m not sure what year it is from but it had already been used in a streetrod application when the truck owner purchased it on craigslist. It did line up pretty straight to center front to back. The owner says it rides very well at low and high speeds. I had the speed governed to 80mph and he came back soon after I released it to him for me to raise the speed limiter in the ecm. I raised it to 255mph 😅. I do know that the lug studs are metric…if that helps to determine the year range 🤷🏾‍♂️

I prefer buying wheels that are already built vs. having them built. The cost difference is almost double and the wait is approximately 8 weeks. I couldn’t find a matching set with those specs. Thanks for watching and commenting!

It all depends on the abuse! The truck owner brought this rear axle to me that he’d purchased on CL. He says it came out of a streetrod and it was already set up for 4 link and disc brakes. A stock S10 rear axle probably wouldn’t stand my abuse 🏎 but this one should be okay for the owner. Thanks 😊

I’m also interested in the response for this question. I have an original everything 53’ 3100. I want to stuff the rear and get max 20” wheel up front or 22” front and rear.

I’m not sure what size it is exactly but it came from an S10. I will take a closer look when I pull it out to rebuild. Thanks

@@mikeanderson2152 a lot of factors come in play when determining the value of a classic vehicle. If it is too far gone you may want to wait on another to come available for sale. Factors: 1. Are you doing the restoration yourself? 2. Are the parts you’ll need easily attainable? 3. How many parts will it need? 4. Would paying $1k or $2k more for one in better condition save $6k-$8k in parts and labor? 5. Is it sold with a clean title? Short answer is that it sounds like a great price depending on what condition it is in and if it has a good title! I’ve had people buy cars that are way too far gone and ask for restoration estimates and are very surprised 😮 when I quote them.

You used to cpp suspension kit up front but about exactly did you use for the back?

I used ebay four link bars and Aldan coilovers. The rear axle was purchased from craigslist and had been allegedly remove from a streetrod and had the four link setup already welded on. Basically an S10 rearend modified for four link! I will look back and try to get a component list together for you in the next few days! @@johnlondon8554 yes, substantial mods that include CPP IFS and 4 link with S10 rearend. I’m not a big fan of CPP’s IFS but the customer wanted to keep cost low!

I have ordered a set of 22x12 for my 1952 3100. Narrowing the reared to fit. If I have a backspace of 2.75 how much lip would that leave?
