Update on 0.75 inch wheel spacers with 265 65 17 tires! I have them on and they fit and they DO rub the fender liner but it's not quite enough to justify a pinch weld. If you have 265 65 17 or 245 65 17 (of course) or 245 70 17 you should be fine. However ...if you have 255 75 17 (32s) or if you have 265 70 17 you probably WILL have to do the pinch weld mod ... But if you have those tire sizes, You probably already did that anyway... So I would say that for any of the MFC "approved" sizes , If you followed their guidance, Then you will probably be okay with 0.75 inch wheel spacers. RRO has them . I did have some vibrations at 70 mph but when I took all the wheels off and re torqued the spacers after 50 miles (as recommended) I had no more issues ! They just needed to "break in" .
I wanted to thank you for making these quality videos regarding your 2015 jeep cherokee trailhawk. I have one identical to yours and it has been great watching your plentiful and thorough videos on this vehicle. I'm thinking of getting the same wheel spacer and headlight/fog light upgrades that you installed. I loved the look of it. It's a great vehicle.
Oh wow! Those spacers make the Jeep look so much better. Maybe make it more stable in handling, with wider stance? The black spacers, with Bora logo match the wheel very nice too. I am putting some on my Jeep next. Thanks!
would you recommend sticking to 1.25" ? I was considering a little bit more poke and going up to 1.50" but I wasn't sure how much rubbing there would be.
CarGuy11 Awesome. I just don’t think a lift is necessary, when the stance is the biggest stock problem. I will add some BFGoodrich ATs and call it a day. Thank you again.
I see this video is four years old. I love the way your KL looks. I’m thinking about getting a set. I was wondering if you still owned this Jeep and how the spacers have held up. Have you had any issues? Is it necessary to check the torque on the bolts that hold the spacers to the hub on every tire rotation? Thanks, Bill
Thanks! I still own it & it has a little different look now. No issues with the spacers & I do periodically check the torque on the bolts. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XVInSeuMLZw.html
Thanks for tue video! Looks awesome! I have a MFC 2” lift kit installed on my 2019 Trailhawk and want to put some spacers. Also want to upgrade my stock tires to 255/65 or 265/65. Do you think the 1.25” spacers would rub too much, or with the tires upgrade better install 1” spacers instead? Thanks again for your help!
I have 1.25" lift on it now, a lot of threads have been saying most of the rubbin comes when you go 31" and up, so I'll prolly trim the plastic on the wheel lining
Great detailed video! Question I had was around how the spacers affect the turning circle of the vehicle? It would make it worse right? Only slightly but it does affect it.
Looks great gives the SUV a more muscled aggressive look, certain suvs should just come factory off the show room floor like this, or atleast give buyers the option of sitting normal or wide, I plan to put these exact same sized spacers on my Toyota Highlander SUV, thx for the video.
hey man I have a 2018 jeep Cherokee trailhawk. I was looking at getting some spacers and I do like the 1.25 inch spacers. What is your overall opinion on the spacers and did you have an issues?
Off subject of wheel spacers,... But i have a 2015 trailhawk do you know if it comes with an auxiliary battery for the Stop/Start function. I seem mixed info as far as it does not have one, to there is one under the fuse box, to under passenger seat, to under back seat. My stop/start light will come on while driving sayings something like battery isn't charged enough. and then the light symbol comes on ( the A in a circle with ! ) Then it goes off once the car is turned off. Thanks for any info you can provide
I am running a Rough Country 2" lift, w/ a 265/70/R17 set of tires. Still getting some rubbing on the inside of the tire/fender on the rear. Would a 1" spacer kit push me out far enough to stop rubbing?
I have the same setup on my 17 Cherokee Sport. RC 2" lift with Pirelli Scorpion 265/70/R17's. I also have rubbing even after doing the pinch weld modification. Thinking I need to go with a 1.25" or 1.5" spacer. Thoughts????
CarGuy11 High Quality content! How are they holding up being you posted about 3 years ago?. I’ve just bought a new ‘19 olive green latitude 3.2 V6 with the 4x4 AD1. Already have the MFCoffroad 3”+ kit coming subbed with new fox shocks. Plan on running 245/65/17 Mickey Thompson Deagan 38 tires. And some 17x9 x -6 Mayhem Prodigy 8300 wheels! In your best opinion, are these spacers worth it? I’ll be able to get a nice mildly aggressive stance with no rub?
thanks for the information. I may definitely get spacers from that company but I am not a DIY-er so I may have to pay someone to do this, I think since I am thinking of painting the wheels black they will re-balance them and hopefully install the spacers too. We will see. As far as down the future, I want to get into serious off roading so I want to lift the vehicle at least 1.5 inches and install new 32" tires (255/70/17). I've seen guys do this with their KLs but I am still apprehensive about tinkering with the geometry and suspension since I hear that being of independent type suspension, it's not as easy as it seems, unlike the solid axle Wranglers. Any thoughts?
Have you done your lift yet? Wonder how it turned out. I did 2 inch body lift and put on 265/70/17 Wild Peaks and have rubbing against the inner frame at full turn. Wondering if the spacer will fix it.
I also just bought myself a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, and I love the thing and so do my friends lol. First of all thanks for the videos, and great job in making them..you have helped me out quite a bit bud so thanks again. I am also thinking about the spacers, but also been thinking about a black gas cap fuel filler door, if they even have that for a trailhawk like I have. Second of all I am having transmission issues, and I have read these 2015's are known for having issues with their 9 speed transmissions, so do you or any of you have issues with your transmissions? I love my Jeep and do not want this issue, and I just paid $21,300 for it a couple months ago to boot, please advise me. Thanks
Thanks for the support! You can wrap the fuel door black easily. The trans has never failed me but I don’t like the shifting. 2015s have 5yr 100k mile powertrain warranty.
You probably have mentioned this before but what size tires are you using with the spacers. I plan to do this and be like you with the 1.25" lug NUTS rather than bolts. But I am also wanting a 2" lift along with bigger tires like 265/65 17 A\T tires Faulkin or Cooper like yours. Not sure if i will have wheel well clearance or rubbing, I rather not mess with making those mods for the lift and bigger tires, but I'll see your thoughts?? I just purchased the trailhawk yesterday 2015 3.2: v6 Mango Orange with 75K miles.
Can you post a link to the correct type of lug nuts you bought please? I just ordered some 1.5” for mine and forgot that I watched this and it does come with any haha.
@@CarGuy11 I also picked up some of those roof cross bars through your link. It’s been a little bit of a struggle finding some quality ones that I know will fit for sure, thanks for that!
do the tires bite on the under fenders at all under full articulation? say if the left front and the right rear were both bottomed out at the same time?
Hello, good evening, I always watch your videos. I also have a Cherokee Trailhawak I want to put those you can send me the exact link to order it thanks
I've always read that these wheel spacers aren't good for the truck/car. So what gives, it looks good but is F**k up your rig??? Also does that have a lift kit on it? I want to lift my 2019 Trailhawk and have a hard time finding ANY aftermarket parts for it other than floor mats or something like that. That part of the is real disappointing!!!
I've used the RC RS9000XL on my YJ for 10 years before the ORI's made something long enough... never failed from a material breakdown. If I was going to add the RC pucks, I would upgrade the CO & Shock as well. Unfortunately, limited choices but Dobinsons makes an application for the KL.
@@CarGuy11 thank you! with the wheel spacers it almost looks lifted! how did you come to the 1.25 inch? it looks perfect. if I do get the lift, and bigger tires, would you still do 1.25? anything wider might give tire rub...
@@CarGuy11 gotcha, appreciate that! just curious, why didn't you lift yours? I know you're also a corvette guy and I must say for an SUV this thing hugs the road and is surprisingly quick with the V6. I'm assuming the lift would compromise that feel?
Hi there, I have a 2015 grand Cherokee summit 20 “ rims, will adding these same spacer rub on my front tires/fender wells when the lift goes in to sport mode or exit mode, because of the airlift suspension? Thanks
CarGuy11 I just installed a Homebrew lift. Video on my channel. I Want to do 1" spacers eventually with 255/75/17's. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RLAPd25oAGU.html
already subscribed ... great insruct but obnoxious irritating music ... just so you know many people listen with earphones and when you blast equipment, good idea to shut down the mike or move it. Yikes. Thanx
