Kids are so pure, they dont hold back their excitement at all. Its joyous but also overwhelming especially for the people out there who feel awkward around kids.
it sounds to me like you'd be a great teacher! and you don't have to connect and deeply affect every kid, almost all of them you'll affect without them even realising since we're all a product of the experiences we've had and those we've met. the fact that so many connected to you that strongly in just a few years sounds amazing to me! good job :D makes me second guess whether its something I want to pursue... maybe later in life :)
I help out in my church with little kids, and at my school too! Hearing about this inspired me to share my art with those kids too! Thank you so much!!!
Omg I talked to a student once about a single show and all she’d talk to me about afterwards was her fandoms, OCs, and ships. Mostly from things I had no knowledge of. Kids are so wonderful
I've watched this so many times. Because it's insanely wholesome. Thank you. I figure if thos video has meant this much to me for like five flippin years i should finally thank you for it.
This video feels really nostalgic because it reminds me of the aftercare teacher I had during 5th grade. Everyone in her group (including me) loved her dearly. It really showed because when she told us she was being moved to another group we were so sad. But she was really interactive with us and occasionally joined us in games. Plus, she enjoyed vines and memes the same way a lot of us did. But around the last day of school I had my year book and wanted her to sign it. When she gave it back to me, I read it and what she wrote made me a bit emotional because it was so touching.
@@TheVampireShark “AJ, You are someone I will never forget. I can’t wait to see how you grow, but you’ll always be my baby. I promise to visit! Love you!! ❤️ Miss Amy”
You inspire me to draw! I have been watching your videos for a while, but never realized it was you. I just want to say, your drawings are amazing! I've always been into Anime and chibi drawings. When I watch peoples videos like yours, I get more motivation to draw/sketch. I realize now I don't get enough time to draw now that I'm getting older. I have been drawing since I was 2, and ever since, I've been OBSESSED with sketching. And I hope one day I can make it out there like you. You are amazing and creating videos, and also drawings. Your voice is very pretty, and you're awesome. I hope I didn't waste your time, thank you for reading!
That drawing and sound at 4:04 got me laughing and replaying it like crazy! 🤣 Also, thank you so much for making videos that you work so hard on, Emily. I'm a young woman who really looks up to you. You inspire me to try different things while I sketch and that has often made me progress in my art. Your videos never fail to make me smile with joy! ♥🎉
You remind me of an amazing before and after school care teacher who would always draw for kids, and I have a clear memory of this lady drawing me two bluebirds. I absolutely loved that lady, she was always so nice, i was in around grade 1-2 at that time and was being bullied a hell of a lot (and kept being bullied since then) and she always helped me calm down, i, only now realising this was posted 5 YEARS ago so damn…
As someone who has had experiences with good and bad teachers, being a supportive mentor and friends to your student is a powerful confidence booster for them. And from What Katie said about you, many more teachers like you would make this world a better place.
This is the first time I’ve seen ur channel and I LOVE YOUR ART STYLE! Maybe I should change mine. Also your relationship with students is so wholesome.
As a teacher I always found it hilarious how you can shock students by making them realize you're also into gaming/anime/comics/etc. If you watch their expression, it's like they acknowledge your existence for the first time ever. Always makes me laugh.
It's even more hilarious when you're an...older gent (almost 60) and your retirement side job is as an Uber driver. I picked up 2 young ladies cosplaying as Ruby and Weiss from the RWBY series (Rooster Teeth). As they were headed for the car, I quickly pulled up a song on my cell phone and waited for them to get in, then looked at them in the rear-view mirror. "Um...ahhh...I guess we're headed for that cartoony festival thing at the fairgrounds, huh?" Lots of giggling and nodding from them. As i pulled away from the curb, I asked "I hope you don't mind old man music, do you?" They didn't mind, so i hit play on my cell, which is blu tooth connected to my stereo, and played "Time to say goodbye", which is the intro song for (I think) volume 2 of RWBY. They SHRIEKED!!! The rest of the ride was rapid-fire conversation of favorite characters and scenes from RWBY, my favorite web series!
@@avatarlulu2357 I have social anxiety too. It's something you have to work on throughout your entire life. What's important is doing things at your own pace and not forcing yourself to do things that set your heart racing.
"Play" does not automatically mean "Complete the game". In the first act its pretty normal, even a little boring. But then it rips your soul out and eats it for breakfast.
EXcentriX no my little sis watches bijuu mike (the person who played doki doki) he’s completed the game and does a LOT of ddlc related stuff on his channel she’s prolly seen all of it...😬
i remember when i was in 4th grade and came to school early and (what we call them) a T.H was there and he also loved drawing and anime. He was one of my biggest inspirations and one of my best friend i’ve had. We liked the same things, and i would purposely tell my mom to take me to school early so we could talk before school started. He’s the reason i’m still drawing 4 years later. Every now and then i would think of him and thank him for the impact he made in my life. T.H (teacher helper)
madeksa for me my teachers always said that i should be like my brother, it got to the point that i stopped caring. Stopped caring as in not trying to do work not trying to do good in school. (It was 2-5 grade they kept telling me that)
As a former summer camp employee and future teacher, that note made me cry. That must have been such a good day! Props to you for engaging that girl in her interests! It's not always easy.
Think back to everyone you've looked up to. None of them were ideal, I imagine. Take comfort in knowing that you did the best you could, and that, at the end of the day, that will always be good enough. Katie seemed to think so. And in this day in age where anyone can start up a RU-vid channel for fun, with her talent, I expect a collaboration in the future. Also, girl, you've earned the right to be as sappy as you want with this. You're talking about kids who've impacted your life and how you've impacted theirs. You deserve to be maple tree-levels of sappy.
The last part of the video is so felt! You do what you think is best, maybe realize later that there were so many better ways to spend the years and feel like you have missed youth... And I am 22 rn! >.
I went to youth development! We just called them YMCA teachers, they were always super nice and fun. There were a few of them that were into anime just like I was so we were always talking about it. There was also one that was a Marine for a while she always had good stories, my other favorite was a dude who was super funny and played music for us. Every Friday we would do the Cha cha slide and I was always in the front, I have tons of stories from the YMCA. Edit: Thank you for the love!
Im watching back old videos and the ”i imagine deat so much it feels more like a memory whens it gonna get me in my sleep 7 feet ahead of me” I KNEW IT WAS HAMILTON
Cause you can't the 4 respect rules without one of them being respect :P (some kids may not know what it means and how to incorporate it with the other 4. You be pretty surprise)
