The reason they didn’t is cause Reggie did do something first that led to a fight there was the elbow by Jordan but they probably didn’t look at that also it’s Jordan they not finna eject him there’s a reason it took like 18 years for lebron to get ejected

He did get suspended a game for it. He initiated it if you count the elbow on the other side. Reggie could have pulled up, maybe, and probably would have if he didn't get the elbow. But plowing into him after an athletic play was not going to get a call. Jordan overreacted, something you normally don't see. He raked his fingers across Reggie's eye, and punched him, although it may not have had much force. As a Bulls fan, it's hard to see him like this. He should have known better.

Michael Jordan didn’t need to put anyone in his pocket, he made the NBA into the money making machine that it is and the refs knew it; he was bringing them all up whether they knew each other or not

This is the only game I ever witnessed MJ as well as Reggie. The real Jordan rules is that he does not get ejected. I would have left the stadium if he got ejected in the first quarter. This was the NBA at this time and he was the slingshot to the next level x ∞

When Reggie was still learning the line he shouldn't cross. After this he was a master of riding that line without crossing it.

I think Reggie was purposely trying to bring the special treatment Micheal from the NBA to light by being overly abusive in his defensive style. I think he suceeded. Don't get me wrong, Mike was one hell of a player but he did get "the benefit of the doubt" often.

Was this in the last dance? Jordan was an absolute asshole. Elbows Reggie in the face, Reggie crashes into him due to momentum, Jordan returns with a headbutt, eye rake and a punch to the face... and Reggie gets ejected. I wonder what other bullshit the NBA let Jordan get away with?

Jordan had the NBA refs in his back pocket. He knew David Stern’s marketing strategy began and ended with MJ. Look back at the 1996 and 1998 Finals where he shot poorly from the field, the refs called fouls on everyone guarding him. Some were phantom calls (the video is on RU-vid).

Jordan was suspended for 1 game. The PR blowback from this, even in the 90s, was bad enough that David Stern had to suspend him.

Good eye. It's not talked about enough. Even more so is the distance of his first step as well as the extreme angles he takes on corners. Sometimes his head is a foot off the ground. These low takeoffs lead to high jumps and you see it in pro dunkers.

Mauling the man's face like an unhinged released bagel tiger into the wild while Kool-Aid Maning him with a heaping single serving helping of punch all while single handedly donating that weeks entire paycheck to the league's swear jar. But, the sweet, sweet science and poetry of it all is the sheer spectacle witnessing Mr.Miller survive a public no holds barred, full-on MJ savage assault; then be the one hit with the automatic tech 2 and bounced. That. Was. Awesome. I'm not even incredulous or indignant about it. Jordan ain't just a player. He's a corporation. He elevated the sport. Magic and Bird saved the NBA. Jordan made it a cottage industry. But, it was a league statement ruling. Not just to Reggie or his team. But to the entire league. They got put on notice. The Detroit Pistons Jordan Rules cheap shot dirty play way of doing things was put on notice. This MJ guy keeps the cash cow gravy train for everybody going, but if you put him down out the sport on BS, y'all going to feel the pinch. Everyone. He's everybody's top to bottom's golden boy for continuous steady sport revenue and sponsorship growth all across the board. He's the exception to the rule. Don't F with everybody's meal ticket that skyrocketed world wide appeal to the sport. It really laid down the law and was a transcended moment that made abundantly clear this man is bigger than the game right now and y'all need to know your place in the pecking order. This is Planet MJ and he's allowing you to orbit around it.
