If you're literally looking forward to hitting children there is something wrong with you. No one should look forward to hitting children. And I always love that it's a funny thing that old people like to say that they only did it cuz they needed to do it and that they hated to do it. @@RexTheDinosaur1, you are correct that many older adults will say "that's how it used to be" ( I'm almost 60 ). Lots of us were raised to believe there were consequences for breaking the rules. If you repeatedly broke the rules like fighting, being disruptive or destructive, ect you had placed yourselve(s) in a position to receive corporal punishment. If you became a habitual offender you were suspended or even worse, expelled from your school. Lots of rowdy students faced double jeopardy for their actions. Parents back then believed schools where there for learning and would punish the child all over again. Well Rex, we saw swatting at schools start to cease starting 30 years ago. Unless a child is attending a private school there aren't any real repercussions for misbehaving. Public schools don't even suspend or expel kids today after being accused of suspending minorities at a higher rate. I'm smart enough to realize that not all our problems today are because of the elimination of swatting misbehaving boys but maybe you could suggest a reason why there is such a lack of respect toward any authority figure such as teachers, members of law enforcement, even their own parents by so many "young" people?

Like it or not, corporal punishment is more effective and if done properly actually turn out to be good memories to reminisce about when you're older. But the op turned that reminscion of good ol' times into something paedophilic and sadistic in his mind so obviously there is something wrong with him. Funnily enough those computers existed already in the 80's. My mom recounts that her classmate's thesis was made through a computer, when most of them still type it in a typewriter

By exposing your body's immune system to the virus in a controlled manner to train it to recognise and fight said virus appropriately. Growing up we're all exposed to a variety of germs, most of which are harmless because our body is already immune to them. Raise someone isolated in a clean room during childhood and there's a good chance they'll die very fast when exposed to normal air after they're grown up. Unless you intend for them to be born, live and die in the clean room itself. It doesn't work the same for ALL germs but for the most part it does.

That is not true! I was constantly sick as a child, if something was going around I got it, and here I am as an adult and still get sick all the time. My exposure to germs did not equal better health. I even got the new Sydney Asian flu that hit in 2001 in Australia and it left me with permanent heart damage.

@@darkbozo11 no it doesn't work for some. It works for most. To be precise, almost everyone. Hence it's used all around the world. There are a few special cases. That in no way overturns the entire system. You'll just have to tweak it to adjust said cases. That's all.
