Ariana Grande, Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, Demi Lovato, Mariah Carey and Selena Gomez... Famous Singers Live Creative Vocal Dodging Compilation Everything About Fail or Epic Moment
ELF SapphireLight it depends on vocal range. Like for me (an alto), a lot of these are high notes. What notes are high are purely based on that specific person vocal chords. Like I would suspect any note in this video is considered a high note to a bass
Not only hitting high notes, but also SHOUTING them. Take modern casting shows, where the contestants can't help themselves but shout every line. It's so ridiculous and makes all of them sound the same. What happened to singers having their own styles and identities?
Other singers avoiding high notes: *stay quiet* or *sing deeper* Ariana Grande: *belts* Edit: It's been a year and I randomly got the notification that someone liked this comment. I check and it has fuckin 13000 likes WHAT.
@@eternalsunshinealways and dumb too, thats not healthy for your voice. Even freddie mercury had to lower hos voice sometimes. Forcing your vocal chords too much leads to damage.
@@palmxr111 uh honey, no Mariah still sounds great, she may not be able to hit high notes but her belts are still resonated and beautiful. Most of the people here can't even resonate the notes that she can rn. Also Celine seemed to just have a bad day, cuz in the beginning of the high note her voice was shaky do she decided to do run instead.
@@palmxr111 she's acc doing a lotttt better than before now its just that she's has nodules which are a genuine vocal condition, and she's has issues with alcohol that relate to her severe bipolar disorder. Celine had a huge vocal scare in '93 and wasn't sounding that good in that era bc of nodules-related issues that she caught early and shook off. if celine had Mariahs genuine health issues she would be croaking too. the fact that Mariah was able to sing well for as long as she did with her vocal condition is a miracle. don't shit on artists when the people you listen to could never sing in the first place.
Note: These singers might just not be able to hit those notes at those times, due to their vocal condition. You voice can get quite bad if you sing for a few hours straight.
Tibe That Guy Heard of Pakistani Singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan ? He used to to sing for hours and hours with great intensity ! What I believe is that psychological stress is the major determinant of a tiring voice whilst singing Otherwise just a glass of water and enough sleep will do good
MuzyShayk Well, it depends. If it’s just one gig then sure. But when people are on tour, the fatigue catches up at some point or another, and that’s not psychological. The vocal chords need some proper time to rest if you’ve been using them everyday at full capacity.
Eh I don’t agree lmao like if you know that there are going to be complications then it’s fine to mouth the note instead of screwing up your voice or embarrassing yourself
The audience are paying for watching singing them live. So nothing is worst than lip syncing! They need to be real in all their capabilities and technicalities in live singing. Failure is human but faking it is just a crime!
GB Galaxy when i say sing live it's probably not what you think it is, i've sang normal live before but i mostly do digital "shows" where i'll sing live, just digitally
I feel like she’s trying to go for that mature old time singer vibe like Adele but her voice is too screechy for that. I liked her technique back when she sang this is me in camp rock
You can hear the tension and struggle as they approach the high notes and that in itself is their indication that they won’t be able to make the high note... is it impossible? No. But the likelihood of succeeding in hitting those notes as they approach it from where they are with that kind of strain and tension is low, and they know that. Hence why they dodge it to avoid embarrassment if they fail to correct in time. You also can’t correct once you’re too close to the note. It won’t work. They would have to correct much sooner, and if you watch as they sing, they not only are attempting to correct it, but they also show it on their faces that they are well aware that it’s not working out.
the thing with Mariah is that unfortunately she is not 35 anymore and her chords are exhausted from decades of misuse . Misuse with the meaning , alcohol , smoking , even not having enough sleep or eating almonds , nuts , hazelnuts can damage your voice . Given her age i think she did the best she could do and now it is time to retire !
@@georgeisaak5321 Mariah stopped smoking at 18 and the main reason for her vocal decline is because of nodules. Mariah still sounds great, listen to her recent. performances. She does need to retire.
I wouldn’t say these singers are really “afraid”. Think about it. These are WORLD RENOWN singers. They have to be careful with their voice, because it’s their career. It’s not about being afraid, it’s about health.
_._AlexIsAWeirdoz_._ Think about it this way. Imagine that you were performing in front of thousands of people, and the thought that lots of people would also end up watching the performance online. Wouldn’t you be super embarrassed if you messed up a high note? So I think a lot of the time they are too nervous to do it but you’re right, some singers to do it to preserve their voice.
Yh she can hit a G5 but its horribly mixed and strained. You can even hear how shouted and strained it actually sounds when you listen closely. So yh she can belt a G5 but with horrible technique.
I didn’t want it to turn into a argument and I believe everyone can sing in their own way but Selena is a way better actress than singer because I’m too deaf to hear her.
I try to sing for 10 mins and I lose my voice so easily. These people perform full shows almost every night or every other night while on tour, I can't imagine how difficult it is to keep your voice in working order by the end of the tour. It's totes fine if they skip a high note.
it is exhausting just to sing , imagine how much more difficult is to dance along , jump around all night long . What appears at the beginning to be "a dream" becomes a nightmare later . Trust me its very hard !
her voice is just not made for high notes...she just cant sing them...but singing is not only hitting them tho..tho i know the best singers are the ones that can hit high notes
Krsto Tomasevic Yeah, well she should be aware that she can't sing high notes. If she was self aware, she wouldn't try singing such a strong sounding song like "Roar" You're right, not everyone can sing high notes but she should at least know that
Can Selenators stop pulling out the lupus card? So many other singers have lupus and still have amazing voices (Toni Braxton, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, etc). Look at Demi; she suffers from bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and so much more, and she's still out here slaying. Please just accept that your idol doesn't have a strong voice and stop making excuses for her.
starla malloy Miley Cyrus as well. She was born with a hole in her heart and has Tachycardia. Not many people know about it. She still sings amazingly well.
Lol you don't need to have a strong voice to be my idol bitch She is my idol because she became so popular even when she has lupus and because i like her songs Aaaaah and not everyone is a fan of these high note singers Adele,Lorde,Lana Del Rey are my fav singer too
starla malloy Isn't there like four types of lupus?? Idk you can't really be mad at selena for having it like people deal with stuff differently. Someone can prevail at something but another person can't. Don't compare someone else's problems to another because you don't know how she feels. It might've been worse than what those other celebrities had.
Singing notes in a quiet studio and singing them love while moving around are two completely different things. Almost hard to replicate the same thing in a different atmosphere
katrice howard I am a Demi Lovato fan. And I like a lot of the other female power singers also. But just speaking of her for a second, watch her live version of “anyone” at the Grammys and compare it to the studio version in the live version is even better. Same thing with her live version of “father” two years ago for an intimate audience.
It's not about doing it over and over, but doing it once. Nobody needs another Thriller, or Bodyguard, or Rhythm Nation. Daydream was enough to cement her as far as I'm concerned.
Alex Chen That's exactly what I think, I don't know why the USA doesn't just value the legend status ? Mariah can't keep making mega hits till her death!
What singing is: vibrattos, alternate between pianissimo e fortissimo, control of the respiration, tone, note sustain (high or low) and lot of other complicated things What people think singing is: reach high notes and sustain it
Robin James You complimented her. Again, I don't understand why everytime that someone compliments a singer other than the vocal trinity or simply a singer that he likes, ya'll are getting so defensive. He/She simply gave props to Ariana without mentioning anybodyelse, yet you feel the need to bring her down proving that you know that despite her technical issues, she is a great singer. Everyone knows that the vocal trinity is just ecxeptional vocally, but somebody was just complimenting somebody else ? Is it allowed ? My God...
@@bryannemin Agreed. They're all different and have their own unique voices. At least she's not a fake like some people and she deserves her fame. There'll always be haters just because they don't like someone's voice but they can't accept the fact that he or she's actually good. She just needs more improvement but at least she's not even THAT bad.
Maria Rinta-Rahko to be honest, there are talented singers that aren't famous and she's a famous singer but doesn't have talent in singing. It's an unfair reality.
Everyone talking about Selena but is no one going to mention 3:57 ? I love her and know Ariana is a phenomenal singer no denying it but that part has me laughing my ass off. 😂😂
Jam Glam uh she can sing, people like you need to understand that knowing how to sing doesnt mean you have a super large vocal range or that you can hit all existent notes out there. Selena has a lovely voice, really unique and sweat. That's how you know someone can sing, by enjoying hearing their songs.
radiohead tv That was because she had bronchitis that time, she just finished a court meeting with her lawyer about her ex-husbands divorce and she almost actually didn't make it on time due to stress of her ex husband in 2014... She was stressed that time, give her a chill
Jeana Turner then people should give a chill to Selena to. She still went on tour when she was suffering terribly with Lupus, almost at the end of her tour before she cancelled it, you could hear her suffering in her voice, she was flat and couldn't hit any high notes. It was awful, but she still tried
i dont hate selena i just think she sings like your average good singer. not bad, yet not good enough to be an amazing vocalist. her songs may be hits but that still doesn't make her good. all the other singers on here are amazing and reach very high notes without having to do falsetto unlike selena, she just can't reach them. i hope no one says that its because of her lupus that she can't sing, she was like that even before being diagnosed.
Amy odd because others singers have had lupus like Michael Jackson etc and hey didn’t have her issues she most likely just needs vocal training and she would get better. There are ways to exercise and improve a weak singing voice.
Yeah, she just needs to sing in her range more often. Of course being able to hit crazy high notes doesn’t mean you’re a good singer and not being able to hit them doesn’t make you a bad singer. It’s just your range.
The Moment when in between of all those great vocalists a Selena Gomez is... Oo dafuq??? xD i think Video makers do this on purpose and laughs about everyone that makes fun of it :')
@@michellefrans836 you clearly haven't heard her recent performances. She is sounding amazing. Not as good as back in the day but still better than most of the current "singers"
I think we should also take into consideration that a lot of these were people in their prime vs when they are called back to sing again even after they stop producing more music
