If you look at the combine model in detail(i choose blender for that) you can see they have this bag on thier waist behind them which is for ammo

@@ultmatepotato actually it's for grenades, the combine soldiers use grenades so they have this pouch. Combine elites don't use grenades and they don't have the pouch

@@slickcalf985 are you sure? They seem to grab every kind of ammunition, even grenades from the same position from what ive seen when inspecting their animations in blender

Well with how it is world after a 7 hour war, I can see scraps of weapons being everywhere and knowing that it's slavic countries and aks are simple to manufacture I can see every second resistance member carrying one with them.

Wouldn't the Combine have control over all of the weapons manufacturing? it would explain why we only see combine weapons on the resistance members

@@dredquijano8852 So you tell me resistance has enough resources to build a teleporter but not an ak rifle? And resistance has it's own weapons in form a crossbow with heated bolts and gravity gun which is wielded by Gordon, which means they can make their own weapons, not even talking about how they are more effective. Revolver is not combine weapon which says that there are still weapons being made by people and not by combines. And why you see a lot of combine weaponry in hands of resistance is because it easier for them to steal more weapons from combine they killed.

Since we see combine smg's and ar's everywhere, we can assume that they're more powerful and easy to manufacture, and don't forget that normal gun's break, explode, jam, and wear down overtime, and due to the fact that the smg and ar are everywhere, we can assume that they don't have any of the drawbacks a normal gun would have.

True. Gordon would probably struggle to actually operate them.

You should, not even just for maps but because a lot of mods use assets from Half Life 2 to work.

@@regularinternetuser6647 I found a really mixed bag with ai enhancements.. nine times out of 10 it's fine.. and then there's that one time where everything's completely screwed up, and for some reason it seems to be like a destructive screw up where I'll have the exact same mods the exact same settings but I will have to reinstall everything in order to do things like the bridge level for instance.. this latest one was I think something to do with vortigants because I couldn't get the guy in the tunnel to talk to me.. and after the ant lion fight, I couldn't get him to do anything and I just at least that one I was able to skip through the camp and get to the level trigger which was fine.. the bridge one is a weird one because that's been consistent. I'll do a fresh install, test the transition between 07 to 08.. test it with the mods, test it from save games, and then I'll go try and replay the campaign and then as soon as I get to it instakill as soon as level 08 loads. I'm not saying it has anything to do with the AI, but I'm not saying it's not cuz that's the one thing I haven't tried on a full playthrough is to go without it cuz it's it's hard to go back once you've had one. And I also can't offer any advice as to if turning it off works or doesn't work LOL I already played through the first half of the campaign three times now and it's kind of not as fun anymore LOL, especially just for the sake of testing that one particular thing. The one that seemed to be the worst of them all was the I think it was called AI enhancement.. that caused all sorts of weird shit... although hands down what seems to be the biggest issue that I've had over this whole affair was the saving mod, the moment I disabled that my level transitions got way better as in they would work most of the time, that mod seems to screw up when you go back and forth between levels.. and it's not the level transition mod that I think the same guy did, it's the actual save menu mod, which you don't really need to play cuz it saves regularly on its own with quick saves and auto saves.. you can also do a manual save in the console although I don't know if that screws it up or not, cuz I'm at a point where I do rain dances LOL to try to get things to work I know quick saves and the auto saves seem to be okay. Also I could be wrong but I think that things that change the models of like the main characters might screw things up as well, I get a lot of errors in the console of like can't find this character or that character.. I'm hoping that that had to do with the AI mod, and I'm hoping that as long as the AI mod is not on on the level transition that might fix that, this is what I'm hoping.. but yeah.. It's really too bad there's not any good resources to like discuss and whatnot and figure out what works and what doesn't, you just get a lot of crap on the forums of people are like oh yeah no it doesn't work in in this and or get a better computer or delete your cash LOL steam forums are an absolute garbage fire at best.. I've seen somebody answer comprehensively somebody's question only to have the next post be that you can't do it get better eyes LOL... Like literally the answer was posted so he didn't even like just being a troll as far as I can tell LOL, which weather they know it or not that's what those posts are, I have a sneaking suspicion there's a combination of the two going on where some of them think they're helping by being utter waste of space, I don't know internet what are you going to do LOL.

@@jakedill1304 you really didn't need to qrite a whole essay, plus i installed an addon called SAII, which enhances the AI, and turns out, it's the one behind all the AI screwups, I also downloaded my half life 2 maps in moddb, which work fine, except for the part where you meet alyx, it just freezes your camera in place

@@regularinternetuser6647 so here's why I wrote the essay, which is not really an essay but I guess by internet standards it is.. because I've gone through the exact same section just fine and had no issues with the very same mod.. reason I mentioned both the I think it's smart NPC which is different from the one above and the one that you're talking about right now which has been the best performing one.. is because this one has been the least problematic. They all seem to be problematic in some way or another and there is no way to nail it down as to one or the other, or some other thing and if you're going to be a dick and just make blanket statements like that, that conversation is just going to continue in the direction it already has..
