I just realised I was in an emotionally abusive relationship. The smear campaigns, the gas lighting and the distorting reality all happened to me. I have been blaming myself for everything. I thought I was going insane.

Forgiveness is strength of character, if there is no forgiveness I believe their is poor character .

I really liked this email, coach. I really liked the length of it and how much into detail you went. You also are right about watching every video, regardless of the title. For instance, this video really helped me REALIZE that I have not been able to forget this woman that is married and was having an affair with me, because of similar traits her and my parents share!! After two months of watching your videos EVERY SINGLE DAY, I finally realized why it has been so hard to let go of her! Btw, I been in no contact for all that time, thanks to your videos. Ever since she asked for space two months ago, I gave it to her and she then delivered the next via a stupid text. She was moving on and can't see me like before. I am still hurting and I know, I should not have gotten with a married woman. The thing is, when we first started, I was not in love with her. 10 months into the affair, I started having feelings for her and during the 11th and 12th month, she started fading away and finally put a stop to it. Now, I realize why it has been so difficult to let her go! Thank you!

Craig says,"you care about her until you know she cares about you and then you don't care about her anymore." Isn't that the same as when you tell a guy not to show interest in a woman so she thinks you are not interested and then her anxiety goes up along with her interest? Which is what the guy wants. Whatever happened to truth? Why do we have to play these stupid games?

So for the Avoidant Guy, he must reach out to the girl to fix it? And he must show that he is now serious?

this sounds like my ex..he loved that push and pull of controlling someone's emotions. He wanted his cake and eat it too and very manipulative. No I never punched him in the face but I should have..lol He was gaslighting me and emotionally abusive to me. I wish I knew this info and I made the mistake of getting g back together with him again and it was worse. Really think hes a narcissist and I'm doing the work on myself to regain my life.

Even if he was flirting and texting other girls it was wrong for her to get violent. She doesn't need to be in a relationship with anyone right now. She needs therapy ASAP

Ha 3 months... i had a guy want to take me on a date, we have never met... live in different states (4 hrs apart) and he told me we were perfect for each other and he had the feeling we would work out great.... anxious attachment style or crazy coming on strong avoidant... my thought... "you dont even know me? How can you say we are perfect for each other... your projecting you wants and desires on me" ... i told him we wouldnt work out (he gives my avoidance sooo much anxiety). 😱 My normal avoidant self would have ghosted this guy typically... im happy to say i have improved 100 fold these past few years. Regardless of how people make me feel they still deserve respect and honest feedback.

I've been seeing someone with trauma for the past 2 months but I never really saw it till this past weekend. Gave her a hug goodnight and she flipped out on me and hasn't contacted me in 3 days. She told me about it, but I never saw it. I forget she has it because she's fine when we've gotten together. She told me she was going through things the past couope weeks. I just feel so bad. I texted her to see what was going on but it seems she doesn't want to talk to me. She is seeing a therapist however.
