Thank you for your videos. Getting ideas such as this inspires me to shift my career from bedside Nursing specifically from Intensive Care Unit to being an Epic certified/analyst. I'm still searching on how can I have skillset and base knowledge on Epic. Do you have any recommendations where and how can I start? Thank you.

Hi Manuel, The first step I would recommend is for you to transfer over to an organization that currently use Epic (If you currently don’t already work for one). Next, I would highly recommend for you to start learning some data analytics. This will help you tremendously on understanding how Epic works on the back end. At last, I would recommend for you to network with people who are already in this space (by connecting with them through LinkedIn or internally as coworkers). You could also look through some of the Epic materials if you currently work for an organization that uses Epic (Search for: Epic UserWeb). Sign up for free with your organization’s credentials and look around!

Thank you for your videos. I am a patient care associate in hospital and I will soon graduate with ms in information system in data analytics. I am interested to get epic certificate too. My company is in transition towards epic and will fully use epic in 2025. Given my background, do you think I can get epic certification??

I currently work as a sonographer (ultrasound technologist) and I would like to move over to the IT side. I use Epic Radiant as an integral part of my job and would love to move to switch sides so to speak. Do you have any tips on how I might make this transition?

Hi Kathy, That sounds great! I would recommend for you to take the Google Data Analytics certificate program. This will look good on your resume, since you are coming from the clinical side. It will also give you the skills needed to work on the back end of Epic, which is just a big database. Knowing the concepts that this program has to offer will definitely put you ahead of other peoples. If you complete it within 2 months you will only have to pay $40 for the second month since the first 30 days are free. Another thing that you could do is to check out the Epic UserWeb page, which you can sign up for with your work email. Just choose the organization that you currently work in and follow the sign up instructions. There you will see a ton of material related to the backend of Epic. I've made a previous video on how to navigate that page if you still need some help. With your experience you would choose the Epic Radiant track. signin.epic.com/adfs/ls/?wa=wsignin1.0&wtrealm=https%3a%2f%2fuserweb.epic.com%2f&wctx=rm%3d1%26id%3dpassive%26ru%3d%252F&wct=2023-04-01T17%3a16%3a39Z&wreply=https%3a%2f%2fuserweb.epic.com%2f

@@ourepicjourney would you recommend taking Google data analytics for everyone trying to get an Epic analyst job? I'm a med lab scientist working in the lab who is trying to land in Beaker but it's super competitive 😩
@ourepicjourney
@ourepicjourney Год назад
@@CS-er9xv Hey there! Only if you already have experience using Epic on your day to day role. If you haven't worked with Epic before then the first step would be to find a role that uses Epic on their day to day tasks. I know! I also struggled so hard finding my first epic analyst job. If you you don't know much about databases, then this google data analytics course is very helpful. Like I mentioned Epic is just a giant databases with lots of tables that are interconnected. Let me know if you have other questions.
