I have not taken my GMAT yet. However, I was towards the end of my preparation of the classic GMAT. But the classic vs Focus edition has put my preparation on hold as I'm pretty confused as to what would be better for me considering I'll be applying for the 2025 intake. Not sure if the universities are going to accept the classic edition 2 years from now when the focus edition would be "more relevant" It would be amazing if you could help me out with this!

Go ahead with what you've prepared, instead of rocking the boat at this stage of the planning. Over the years, tests have changed their format, and most universities have been accommodating of the variations out there, as long as the score is valid. What's the reason behind targetting 2025 applications? Is it because you're a student right now or a recent grad?

We don't think it's a good idea to go for an international MBA without work experience. There are other options such as the MiM, MEM degrees that you could check out. We have videos on each of them.

We don't have a ready list to share. But some schools in Europe offer it. There are also some schools with R2 deadlines in January. So if you can manage your test prep along with application work, you may be able to get in a few applications. But the risk with such juggling is that one of the two (or both) might get neglected.

They can help (only if they are relevant and aligned to your goals) in showing your inclination to learn and grow, but won't tilt the scales as much as the other components that adcoms consider. .

The choice of the degree will depend on your career plans. Do you want to specialise in the same domain (logistics)? Or do you want to transition into something else?

Hello Sameer! Hope all's well. I am an MBA aspirant(Most likely North America or UK) and have my GRE scheduled for december. I had a couple of questions regarding the applications I would be grateful if you can help me out. 1) As an international student, does it even make sense to apply in round 3? I have been reading about it and it looks like adcom prefers if international students apply in R1 & R2 2) Have I ruined my chances of getting in given I'm too late? 3) In case, it's not advisable to apply in R3,should I wait a whole year to go through the process ? 4) Are there any B schools/ regions which are a little forgiving to international applicants applying in R3 Thanks and advance, really looking forward to some insights from you. In most cases, the answer would be 'That's not a good idea'. But there are always exceptions. For example, If you have an under-represented profile, b-schools may consider looking at it. The other option (that we don't recommend) would be too apply to programs that are lower ranked and find it challenging to fill their classes. The third option is to look for programs that have a spring intake, or rolling admissions.

South Korea does not have any globally ranked business school in the Top 100. There may be local universities offering MBA programs in English, but we're not aware of them.

CEOs are expected to know about multiple disciplines. So it's not about choosing a single subject that'll improve your chances of getting the top job. How many experience of experience do you have and in which industry/role?

An engineering degree is not a pre-requisite. And neither is an MBA degree. They just happen to be common qualifications seen among many CEOs. But there are plenty of non-engineer and non-MBA CEOs too.

@@MBACrystalBall I have completed my bachelor's where my major was marketing, afterwards I completed my 6 months of internship in marketing and currently I'm working with another organisation as a marketing executive and I'll be completing 1 year in December, I have 8 band in IELTS and I want to pursue masters in marketing only. And the reason for choosing ESCP is their requirements fits well with my qualifications. 18 months of work experience including internships they have mentioned it

A few things to be aware of. Marketing roles can be a tough fight for international students in Europe, and more so for client facing ones when there's a disconnect between the local language and culture. It's also incrementally tougher for Masters degree grads from other countries to compete with locals for such roles. Have you connected with folks who have managed the transition you are planning for?

As a general rule, a business school brand is the strongest in the original (host) country where it was started. If you want to study in English speaking countries, it's best to pick programs that are well-known in that region. Have you identified any programs in the UK?

Depends on the context. If you're referring to a Fortune 500 company, it's unlikely. If we're talking about a startup launched by the student in school, then absolutely possible.
