Video on RU-vid a Lab guy was comparing same sample in Dr Morpen Glucometer and Blood Glucose Analyzer. It was almost same 108 vs. 109 because it tested from same sample. Our capillary blood glucose (testing for Glucometer) may vary from original upto 15%. It is not the fault of Glucometer, it is the limitation of collected blood sample. Doctor should know this.
This usna great information and very educative. If person with glucometer can check the glucose levels at home and did 15% to get more or less accurate blood glucose levels.
Some experts say that finger blood is capillary blood..which always gives higher results than veins blood. Veins blood is tested in lab by titration method n its less than home test. I have always found this true in mu case. Lab test results are always found 10-15% lower than home glicometer tests.
The accuracy of glucometer test results depend on various factors such as company brand, cleanliness of fingure, sample size, strip quality, etc. Also, you can not conclude by doing only one time.
Ok Many of us know that is difference btw the glucomoter and the lab test.... always plus , minus... But we cannot be checking our levels through lab tests , 3 or 4 times a day.... So ideal is glucometer... Once in a month or once in 3 months...its ok to get lab tests... Definitely not for day to day monitoring
Iam diabatic since 10 years above 13 plus readings. I do not table medicatiobs. I walk daily, fasting next day if i eat sweets or heavy meals for 12 hours only.
I found my lab test results were lesser by 10 to 15% in comparison with my glucometer results. Both were done simultaneously & in the laboratory & immediate results were obtained from lab tests.
Hello i have used dr morepen glucometer i got fasting report 99 yesterday today 100 ( 2nd time 104) After fasting 134.my age is 30yrs female..is this normal..i m really worrying..pls reply sir
Interesting concept to be aware of. But am I missing anything? I was hoping to see 8-15% instead of 10-15%. I am saying based on the percentage difference between glucometer reading of 215 and lab result reading of 232.8.
Glucometer reading of blood sugar levels is Fix not proper but doctors know how much it is and the LAB test is correct but we should go thru HPCL method as I do it every three months reading is correct
One more thing sir. Is it safe for Mr.Rajkumar not taking medicine for a fasting sugar of 215 and pp sugar of 383? Isn't it risky for him that he is not taking any medicine at such higher sugar levels to control the same ?
When I get my fasting labs down my fasting BG is always quite a bit lower than what I get from my glucometer. My fasting at home is always about 120, but it's usually between 85 to 95 when I get labs done.
Hi dr i hv vitamin d , deficiency can u put video fr vitamin D nf for video b12 how to increase vitamin d in body other than sunlight nd wht fruits nuts, juices vegetables we hv to take to increase vitamin d deficiency after Menopause
Sir glucometer has shown same reading on both samples taken from vein & finger for both fasting sugar & pp sugar so it is showing correct. Perhaps it is due to different lab testing process which is giving different results. Can we put 100% reliance on lab results??
The test is depends on the Type of sample taken , for glucometer the whole blood sample and the lab test the blood plasma sample is taken with GOD POD method analysers but if we do manual Benedict's reagent test procedure the result will be nearly same with Lab test Analyzer... Every thing is depends upon 👉the type of Sample and 👉type of Test and👉 quantity of sample taken Just we have to decrease or increase the reading 10% ( fasting ) and 15% (PP) .. THAT'S IT 👍
Excellent knowledge sharing but, pls counsel him to start taking treatment ASAP..poor guy would end up with hyperosmolar ketoacidosis. He needs to be started on insulin ..
Namaste sir Yesterday I took my sister for FBS and also for PPBS to different Labs where I get the reports with different values.... can you please explain about this both are in labs. Latter at the same time I checked with Glucometeer also. Now my question is why the reports are diffrent from each other. The first one is FBS 177 (it's regularly testing lab from past 7 to 8 years) with Glucometeer FBS 229 (in the time being of 10 to 15 mins), and the second one in the hospital 's lab is FBS 199 with Glucometeer 249 (in the time being 2mins only). Please explain.
Sir , I have a humble question, Do all the time lab test results get 10-15% higher than the blood glucose meter reading? Or there is same chance of getting lower results in lab test than glucometer reading?
It depends.... if you are doing it once in a month then of course lab test but if you have to do it more frequently than I think glucometer will be more comfortable option
Hi Doc! I had GD in pregnancy and after the delivery doctor says I have to be careful. It's been one year of following good diet plan, my recent blood test was better than last time but doctor still says I have to be careful. Any food suggestions to come out of pre diabetic zone please?
Wow guys, get Mr Rajkumar onto a high fat, high protein, extremely low carb diet now. He will die from complications as a result of that BG. And stay off the fructose, it’s killing his liver!
@@pasamvenky8081 Dr. Morepen gluco one. In our case it’s showing accurate as I am always purchasing from reputed Pharma shop. No trust in online product.
